My legs are really sore, are you going to carry me or not?
With that, Huo Jingshen eventually came over.
Without saying a word, he strode over, bent down, and with one effort of his arms, easily lifted her up in a bridal carry.
He was so incredibly manly!
Seeing Fu Qi looking over, Su Wanwan suddenly lifted her hand and tugged at Huo Jingshenâs shirt collar.
âHoney, I was wrong last night, next time Iâll bite lighter, okay?â
Huo Jingshen: ââ¦â
He was about to speak, his lips pursed together.
âBut honey, you really are amazing, look at me now, I canât even walk.â Su Wanwan then cooed in her little voice.
Her eyes caught sight of Fu Qi on the side.
Not surprisingly, due to her rather audacious words, Fu Qiâs whole face turned red, with a hint of unspoken indignation visible in her expression.
Su Wanwan smirked inwardly.
She knew that Fu Qi was nothing more than a pampered rich young miss, whose feelings for Huo Jingshen were apparently not completely extinguished, and it was uncertain whether they would intensify or change in the future.
Being a woman herself, she could understand that feeling.
The beloved older brother-figure suddenly getting married, only for the bride to be another woman, that feeling was somewhat similar to how she felt when she found out that Xing Yuyun had cheated on her with Su Yanyan.
Although she had no particular feelings for Xing Yuyun, having an arranged marriage with him made him hers, at least in name.
So when she found out that he and Su Yanyan had been together behind her back, the anger of being deceived and betrayed welled up in her, an uncontainable anger that led her to fly from Los Angeles to catch the cheating couple red-handed.
Without exaggerating, at that moment, she really wanted to kill Su Yanyan.
A woman scorned can be really frightening, especially when it comes to matters of the heart.
And after all, Fu Qi was Fu Ziyangâs aunt, and Fu Xihan seemed to be life-and-death friends with Huo Jingshen. Unless absolutely necessary, Su Wanwan wouldnât stir up too much trouble, she only hoped that Fu Qi could come to her senses and restrain her inappropriate thoughts.
After all, if her bottom line was truly crossed, Su Wanwan wouldnât show mercy, no matter who the person was.
Call it pettiness, jealousy, or possessiveness, once sheâs married, her man is hers, and no one can snatch him away!
â¦
At the restaurant, Su Wanwan sat down and started eating, and Huo Jingshen went outside.
Apparently, he was comforting Fu Ziyang.
The little guy was too worried about his injured dad. Fu Qiâs explanation was rather confusing, so in the end, Huo Jingshen had to intervene.
As Su Wanwan ate, she took out her phone.
She checked her social feed, but there wasnât anything new, until a call from Mo Weiyi came in.
âWanwan, are you okay after last night?â
Last night? Su Wanwan gave a couple of light coughs, âIâm fine.â
âYour husband called me last night, he said you were missing, where did you go?â
âEh, Iâ¦I went to have a drink.â
âDrinking? Why would you go drinking out of the blue? Did you have a fight with Huo?â
âNo, we cleared everything up.â Su Wanwan hastily changed the subject, âIs it fun in the countryside?â
âItâs not fun.â Mo Weiyiâs voice immediately became dispirited.
Su Wanwan couldnât help but laugh.
She had guessed it. This girl had lived a life of luxury since she was a child, with servants attending to her every need. Suddenly going to a closed and monotonous country place, she estimated that â¦
âYou should stay a few more days then, when thereâs nothing fun, thatâs when you can really reflect on life.â
Mo Weiyi: ââ¦â
âDonât play with your phone while eating.â A cold male voice suddenly interrupted.
Su Wanwan looked up, quickly suppressing her smile.
Huo Jingshen came over, directly took her phone away, hung up the call, then placed it aside, âEat your food.â
Su Wanwan pouted, âWhere are Fu Qi and Ziyang?â
âThey left.ân/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
âOh.â
âHurry up and finish your meal.â Huo Jingshen tapped the table with his finger.
He was serious and slightly impatient.
He had been outside talking to the little guy for nearly twenty minutes, yet this girl still hadnât finished her meal. The moment he came in, he saw her smiling at her phone like a little fool.
Su Wanwan glared at him.
The manâs eyebrows furrowed, he looked stern and serious, and yet underneath it all, he was so unrestrained and crude.
Su Wanwan suddenly put down her chopsticks, âYou feed me!â
Huo Jingshen narrowed his eyes, but surprisingly, he sat down and picked up the chopsticks with his finely defined fingers, beginning to feed her.
Su Wanwan felt much happier instantly, and then started mumbling while chewing, âArenât you⦠going to work today?â
Shouldnât the company be on holiday until New Yearâs Eve?
Huo Jingshen glared at her, âWerenât you the one who commanded me to attend to you today? How can I go to work?â
Su Wanwan: ââ¦â
Ahem, so itâs her fault again, is it?
After biting off a piece of rib, Su Wanwan, her mouth full, mumbled, âYou bullied me! But donât worry, I think Iâll be starting my internship tomorrow.â
The manâs fingers paused for a moment, a trace of displeasure flashing in his eyes.
âHurry up, another piece of rib!â Su Wanwan shouted.
Huo Jingshen clamped a small rib into her mouth, his handsome eyebrows knotted together in a frown, âWhat internship?â
Su Wanwan grinned, âItâs an opportunity our teacher arranged, an internship at a TV station. If itâs sooner, Iâll report in tomorrow.â
âAnd if itâs later?â
âIf itâs later, then itâll be in a couple of days.â Itâs bound to happen in the next few days anyway!
As expected, a certain someoneâs face became even more grim.
