Chapter 5
My Fairy Prince {Chosen Mates Book #4}
"Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away, once in a while, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean."
â John Muir
The lake shimmered with soft white glitter and liquid sapphire. It was a warm day, the sun was bright and large, feeding every living thing in the path of the rays of its light.
Music floated through the wind like the strains of blond and silver nearby the lakeside.
Dorian, with his friend Rowan, played their instruments, enjoying the nature that protected them in a harmonizing shield. Soon that peaceful moment was interrupted by a calling of Dorian's name.
A small little pixie was flying towards the friends fast. Waving her tiny little fragile arms in the air, "Prince Dorian! Your father has requested your presence to him! The King asks of you to come to the throne room!"
Dorian stood, thanking the small pixie for the notice, and turned to his friend. Rowan stood up smiling waving to him suggesting that they'd meet up another time.
"I'm going to wander the forest for flowers for my mother. Her living room could use something on that table of hers."
"Be safe then, Rowan," Dorian followed the pixie through the trees, flying next to her back to the castle where he knew his parents were waiting patiently.

On the throne, Dorian's mother and father, The King and Queen, sat with smiles. Dorian knocked on the large oak-aged doors as they soon opened after. His father greeted him with a welcoming smile as he watched his son approach them both up the carpet trail.
"Father, Mother," Dorian spoke up, his voice coming out like a gentle breeze. Some of the servants stopped in their tracks to gaze upon the Prince like it was the first day they had seen them.
Blond hair that showed like newly found soft canary yellow feathers. Iris's the color of fresh ferns in the morning after dew settled on the leaves. He was a gentleman. Also smiling and being the peace anyone needed on a rough day. They would joke that the day he was born, the sky turned from a thundering storm to the clears blue skies saw.
"It's time to find your mate soon, Dorian my son. Your time is coming soon to take your place on the throne." The King's eyes were kind on his son, face sculpted like he was birthed from the gods themselves. He looked like a much older Dorian.
Dorian's mother nodded to her husband's words, a baby girl in her arms," A beautiful and gentle wife for my son." The baby giggled, reaching up to wiggle her fingers in the air. This made everyone in the throne room laugh.
An acknowledged smile was placed across Dorian's face. A smile that was a near replica of his mother's soft and kind face. Everyone knew where his gentle and loving aura came from. She was nothing short but a kiss from the Goddess Eleos it seemed.
"Do not worry Father, I know my time to meet my fated wife will come. She will be nothing short but the best mate there will be for me and this kingdom. You both will love her when I find her. I know it so."
The Queen piped in, a soft smile but her tone was serious but polite, " Your friend Elvina Fay will be coming back from her trip. Make sure you tell her that she can not be mad at you and your future fated lover, my child. She is a darling girl, but she's far too attached to you."
Dorian's face turned into a puzzled expression. He did not understand why his mother told him this. He knew better than to think this. As much as they were close, he never felt a pull towards her.
"Mother, Elvina is nice and lovely, and her crush on me is something childish even to the others who know of it. She has gotten out of hand as it is, threatening the others to stay away from me. If she was my fated mate, I believe something would have happened by now. She will have to understand no matter what I say to her."
The King nodded in agreement to this.
