Caroline smiled. “I finished early, so I came back ahead of schedule.”

“You’re working too hard. You need to take care of yourself,” Anna said, looking at her face. “You look a bit pale.”

“I’m fine, really. It’s just that it’s too hot outside. I’ll be fine once I get some air conditioning.”

Anna kindly fanned her with her hand. “Are you hungry? Have you eaten? I remember you have low blood sugar. Don’t forget to eat when you get busy.”

That was when Caroline remembered she had only eaten breakfast.

“See? You’re not taking care of yourself. Sit down. I’ll go get you some food.”

“Thank you, Anna.”

Having such a considerate friend felt like a kindness from the universe.

Just as Caroline opened her computer, Boris suddenly appeared beside her.

“Mr. Boris?”

“Back already?” Boris asked.
