chapter 22

It's a Scandal....Next Morning at office.....Rishabh was informed today Morning that they lost the deal with the Japanese clients....they say the presentation was plagiarized by the rival Kothari Company....he was irritated as hell ....He called everyone for an urgent meeting at the conference hall....As usual Sukh was late by 5 minutes...she hurried her way out from her home and keeping here hair open ran towards Shivalik ..reaching the Head office building and getting down the elevator She hurried herself towards her desk        but was shocked finding the entire floor vacant...She asked the liftman where are others and he informed her that there is an urgent meeting in the conference hall you should hurry yourself.....Rishabh was in his cabin, he was thinking to himself we are coming near the deadline ...we got to complete the beverage drink's project, it's our priority for now....but what about the traitor it's been 3months our presentations are being copied and sold...we lost 3 deals for a person's nuisance....I will surely not spare the culprit....he can't make the efforts of all our employees go in vain..should I talk about this to the staff...no it will not be the right thing to do ...infact the person will be alert ...I will hire my men to look upon this matter.... but for now I should head to the Conference Hall they must be waiting there....Sukh saw him walking towards the Conference Hall...she was aware how will he react if he finds out that she is late again.. Surprisingly he didn't noticed her...she put her stuff there and paved the way towards the Hall....        Rishabh was greeted by everyone at the meeting...Sukh too joined them on time....He was about to scold the late comer but was frooze at his place seeing Sukh with open hairs;she asked for his permission to enter but he seemed lost , he opened his mouth to say something but no words came out , he replied her nodding his head...He composed himself and continued... so guys, we are here to discuss about the team which will be working upon our Drink's project...So Mr Rathod will be the head of this project and Ms.Mehra and Abhimanyu will be assisting him along with Ms Malvika Avasthi , Rohini Sachdeva Rudra Shastri and Ravi Agnihotri ...Dhruv Malhotra too will be there as he is an expert in business management..it's a big project guys....you are expected to use your skills and intelligence to make it on time ....since we are given only two weeks time I suggest you to work for extra hours .....if you guys want we can work upon the convenience issue ...Company car will pick and drop you whenever you want to..and also you are given the 24th floor which will have accomodation facilities for you guys ....though this arrangements are temporary but I am sure it will be upto the mark ; any questions.....everyone nodded there head but to Rishabh, Abhimanyu seemed to be a bit distracted by the news....he tried to say something when he cut him off saying you all are dismissed.. Sukh too sensed discomfort in Abhimanyu's body language......After the meeting..most of them untenanted the conference hall....Sukh was arranging her files and the minutes of the meeting while Rishabh was working upon his laptop...Sukh nervously went to him and asked Sir from when we are supposed to stay here.. in a sweet voiceRishabh exclaimed Ms.Mehra the arrangements are not completed yet so I will suggest you get your clothes and arrange other stuff today and inform your family about your new venture ...        and we will avail you the room tomorrow...with a sweet smile....Sukh left the cabin and went to her desk Rishabh too went back to his cabin.....Sukh was consious as she sensed discomfort in Abhimanyu's body language , though he joined earlier but he is her junior and she was concerned .....till today she has never seen him negligible towards his work but what's wrong now ..She went to him and saw him working upon the Computer Screen..she genuinely askedAre you fine Abhimanyu....???? with a questioning lookhe stood up from his place seeing her boss around ..He stammered saying Mam I am working upon it....will submit the file within 25 minutes ..she sensed worry in his tone she sat beside him in a chair and asked What's wrong Abhimanyu what are you bothered about...He was hesitant at first the continued Mam I am too worried about this project it's our new venture and we don't have any experience of it..what if I fail to make up to the expectations of Rishabh Sir....he is a nice man he recruited me this job without any reference.. I was in so need of this job my whole family is dependent upon it...by instance My mother had an heart attack last night... we rushed her to the hospital and she is admitted there ...Sukh grabbed his hand to console him and asked What does the Doctor says....in a concerned voice....Abhimanyu replied they say we got to keep her under observation for two days...then we may operate her.. and bursted in tearsAbhimanyu and Sukh though didn't knew each other for long but the bond they shared from the first day was like siblings..She consoled him rubbing his back and suggested you may inform Rishabh Sir about this , he may help you with the situation even he can grant you leave .Abhimanyu cut her off saying that's what I am afraid of we have shortage of staff and everyone is busy with one or the other project..Rishabh Sir self is handling work load of 20 people and I know if I will ask him for leave he will grant me that....but by doing this I will feel like being a Coward ...I don't worry about the hardwork I'll work my level best ....but I would like to stay with my mother at night I know she needs me now....I can't accommodate myself here..Sukh consoled him saying Ok Abhimanyu I trust you , don't worry no one will ask you to accommodate hereI am your senior and answerable for your mistakes...you can stay with your family...and I will be glad sharing your work load.....Her words soothed him and he replied in a contented voice I will be grateful to you always Mam...with tears of joy...After their small conversation Sukh left him working there and reminded Complete the file and submit it on my desk I will give the final touches to it...Before leaving she teased him saying don't be so happy ....I will ask you for a party after the success of this project, on which he laughed heartily....she too smiled and left for her desk..Getting there she saw the phone there which reads 10 missed calls and that, too by Rishabh....She gulped at the scenario and dialled his no....Rishabh picked the call in the first ring and snapped her saying where are you...she lied I was just around here , do you want something Sir..Rishabh sighed yes Sukh get me a cup of Coffee...Sukh agreed and disconnected the call, she pouted in frustration and mumbled to herself I am not here to make his Coffee but as he asked her in a sweet voice she agreed to it...She went to the pantry and made the Coffee both for him and her , the incident earlier gave her an idea he may didn't like cinnamon in Coffee...so she made him a simple one.....He called at her desk again .. She hurried towards his cabin taking both the Cups there....She knocked at the cabin door and found Rishabh at the window side....he permitted her to come in ,and she went inside holding the tray in her hands...He saw him disturbed for the first time, he didn't shouted upon her  nor gave her any angry look ,it's the first time for her that they didn't fought...Rishabh went to the couch and took the Cup which had Cinnamon in it..Sukh stopped her by saying it has Cinnamon in it Sir I think you will not like it...        Rishabh gasped at this and said it's Ok Sukh I like the taste of Cinnamon Coffee you make and smiled to her...She went to him and asked "Aap thik hai.... aaj subah se pareshan lag rahe hai "(are you alright u look tensed since morning...)Rishabh nodded his head in No and continued sipping his Coffee ....He asked Sukh to join him too...after sometime he replied Waise toh aapko batane ki koi wajah nahi hai humare pass, lekin pata nahi kyu batane ko Dil Kar raha hai...hum mein se hi koi hai jo hume Cheat Kar raha hai ; uske wajah see kaafi loss hua hai Company ko....(I don't have any reason to tell you the cause of my worries but still I just feel like telling it to you....there is someone in the Company who is cheating upon us.. we sufferd huge loss for that person...)She consoled him grabbing his hands and said.... Sir we will work upon it together  all the staff here respect you a lot ....you are a good person and anything bad will not happen to you.you worked hard for the deals .. you will get better tenders after this...hardwork always pay back and no one can steal your destiny...and gave him a friendly smile...he too smiled at her and said "Thank you"Hearing this Sukh said Dramatically The Great Rishabh Malhotra is confessing that he is grateful to Ms. Sukhpreet Mehra ...dancing her eyebrows....        he was left embarrassed again...and was about to speak when she cut him off sayingit's Ok Sir enough of appreciation section for the day... and stood up to leave ....She made her way out when he called her again and said Sukh you surely know how to make people happy thank you for lighting up my mood...with a sweet smile...Sukh went out his cabin ,and came back to her deskshe smiled to herself in remembrance of his words..."Thank you""Batane ko Dil Kar raha hai....""You know how to make people happy..."She murmed to herself itne bhi khadoos nahi hai bus thode see sadu hain.... (He is not that grumpy but is surely a bit Sadu)....she sat at her desk and resumed working....Rishabh on the other hand was really worried...he was thinking of ways to get that guy...the team he made today had the people who he has a doubt upon ...except Sukh and Mr Rathod ,Sukh just joined a week ago and as far as he knows about her, he can't doubt her intentions....and Mr Rathod has been working on this office since 25years he was recruited by his father and he too trusts him a lot....He called his friend Aarav for help but was informed by his secretary that he is out of town for some work ...and will be available after 3 days....though he referred another professional investigator who will look upon the matter now....Sukh was working upon the accounting files when she found out that something is not right there....as she sorted the files at the storeroom which has hard copy of all accounting department... that doesn't match with the files on which she is currently working upon ......She had a confusion so she went to Mr Rathod's cabin....she heard some noises from there and the voice was familiar to her.. .Sir I am trying my best to withdraw this deal trust me I am not going to betray you..  I made some changes in the accounts file and the budget according to that will be twice the actual investmenteventually due to lack of ideas and approaching deadline he will surely withdraw his name from nthe tender... I will not put you down..Sukh was shocked and rushed inside the cabin...but she found no one thereeven Mr Rathod was not inside...she was left startled, the voice was for sure a familiar one...She came back to her desk tensed ,only one thing was revolving around her head  "it's a scandal but I don't know exactly whose voice it was I must find out before informing others about it...." and saw the time....Rishabh went out if his cabin to the departmental building where Dhruv works he informed him about the culprit and the plan he made ....he gave the most important tasks to Mr. Rathod ,Dhruv and Sukh while others are just for assisting them...He also asked Dhruv to shift his Cabin to the Head Office....It was when he was returning from his visit that he saw Abhimanyu at the IT department.. He went there to check upon him, he saw him making copy of the office software to his own pen drive....He didn't asked him anything about it but to him the sight seemed fishy....It was he who recruited Abhimanyu and he didn't doubt his choices but the circumstances prevailing now we're something different...He called the investigator and asked him to find the source by which the information is being transferred to the rival Company...he assured him that he will find the answer within tomorrow morning...he shoved his phone in his pocket and started moving towards his cabin..The clock showed it's time for her to leave..so putting her stuff inside the bag she made her way towards Rishabh's cabin...as he asked her to do so;She was crossing the corridor when she crashed into someone ....and this time again it was Rishabh....All the files she was carrying were dropped on the floor...she quickly bent down to collect them even he bent down with her...they both walloped their heads this time....Sukh glared him with wide eyes and then bumped his head with her head again....Rishabh got annoyed and asked Sukh aap pagal ho gayi hai Kya , ik baar hi kaafi tha do baar sar takrane ki Kya jarurat this... ( are you mad once it was accident why are you doing it again....) She replied in an angry tone aisa nahi karenga toh ladai ho jayegi Aur waise bhi aapse ladna nahi chahte hum....(We will have a fight if I will not do it again and moreover I don't wanna fight with you..)She grabbed her things and stood up... She abruptly replied hum jaa rahe hai Kal Se kuch din Tak yeh nahi kehne aayenge aapko ...tab nahi hogi takkar.... Goodnight...(I am leaving for my home, from tomorrow to some days I will not have to come to you to inform about my departure...we will not bump into each other then...)        He was left embarassed again....he thought to himself why it's always like she becomes the victim of my anger which is for someone else....He gave her look which clearly says..."I am mesmerized by your words..."He saw her walking to the elevator when he called her name ...she turned around facing him and snapped what now...Aur bhi kuch kehna hai(do you wanna say something else too...)He exclaimed let me drop you home.....Sukh nodded her head in No and walked towards the elevator in a fast pace... He called her name once againand she turned....but this time she didn't spoke a wordhe went to her and said...be safe....call me when you reach home ....Bye, Goodnight ...and left to his cabin..Sukh was in shock seeing her Sadu being so nice... she nodded her head in an insane manner and rushed inside the elevator...His lips curled up into a smile seeing her like that...he exclaimed Yeh ladki pakka pagal hai...(she is mad....)_____________________________________So guys we are at the end of this chapterHope you guys like it...Don't forget to vote and comment ....Share the story with your friends and family...See you all in the next chapter update**Till then Smile 😊😊😊😀 and spread happiness...._____________________________________**Bonus....
