chapter 17

 I was so Damm wrong....Sukh lost consiousness at the storeromm.....she fainted there!!!!Rishabh's POV:        Maybe!!!!!you are the security incharge here .. and it's your responsibility to make sure that every employee logged in and out on correct time.....I will not spare anyone if anything wrong happens to her Rishabh rushed to the storeromm ....On reaching the desired floor he banged to the storeroom's door yelling Ms.Mehra are you in there..... Ms. Mehra!!!!!!! in loud screams....getting no response he had to break the door to burst it open...and the sight before him trembled him in consertation....Rishabh found Sukh at the corner of the room in unconscious state....he rushed to her followed by the Security Incharge and tries to wake her up.....Sukh was mumbling something under her breath but he was unable to make it out....He carries him in bridal style out of the room to his cabin and rested her body in the cabin's couch ....He asked for a glass of water and splashed some drops of it to her face, he asked the security person to call a doctor from the nearby hospital... he was worried for now calling her name again and again in order to bring around her...         Sukh came back to her senses after a while....Opening her eyes she saw a blurred face and someone shouting her name... On gaining consiousness Sukh abruptly hugs him encircling her arms around his chest ...mumbling "Hume dar lagta hai andhere se!!! hume yaha se bahar jana hai....( I am scared of darkness !!!! get me out of here)....Rishabh went numb at the sight....he calmed her down hugging her back saying it's Ok Ms. Mehra you are out of that dark room, see I am around you ;I will not let anything happen to you....Their hug lasted for some seconds... when suddenly they realised that they are embracing each other....and they jolted away..Sukh and Rishabh both were embarrassed and Sukh looked around and saw the clock which reads 9:00 pm....Sukh panicked at the moment because it was the first time for so long hours she was out of her house alone .... she as worried as she knew her family must have been worried she checked her phone which shows 95 missed calls.....She stood up from there and called them....Roohi picked up the call and started shouting Sukh said Sorry I was not there for your telecast..She yelled Sorry is this the way .....forget about my telecast where are you and where is your phone ....have you seen how many times we called you !!!! everyone is hell worried here you must have informed us!!!!Sukh had no words to utter so Rishabh took the phone from her and said Hello Ms. actually we were in an urgent meeting so no one was allowed to attend phone calls ...Hope you guys understand ...it's not all her fault Sorry for the inconvenience don't worry I will drop her home safely,He left no room for questions ;,the next thing he heard was Roohi chuckling....He disconnected the call with a small smile....but was surprised the next moment when Sukh grabbed the phone from his hand....        He gave him an astonishing look which clearly said what's wrong with you!!!Both of them looked at each other for few seconds.. Sukh shifts her gaze away ,blurted out her trembling words you must not have lied to my family they were worried and lying to anyone is a sin...Rishabh opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out he was there listening to her ....She continued "yeh galat baat hai, aapko jhoot nahi kehana tha ,sochiye unko agar yeh baat kahi Aur se pata chali toh....unko lagege humne jhoot kaha, woh toh next time fir koi baat hi nahi sunenga humari ,vishwas hi nahi karnega humpe...."(this is wrong you must not have lied what will they think of they will come across it by someone else they will think I am a liar.. despite of my innocence )She hurried outside his cabin towards her desk..  Rishabh though to himself Hume lagta tha ki yeh bahut chup chap rehne wali saant si hai lekin yeh toh....itna bolti hai !!!!Picking her bag from the desk she made her way towards Rishabh's cabin again, to inform him about her departure.... saying "hum jaa rahe hai..."( I am leaving...)Rishabh was still there ..... talking to himself when her voice broke his trail of thoughtsShe turned around to leave...while he stopped her midway Ms. Mehra wait.... stop I saidbut she didn't paid any heed to it....he yelled wait...She Stopped in her tracks and turned to face him , he walks in his fast pace to reach her...        Ms. Mehra I promised your family I will drop you home safely and look at you, you just passed away a few moments ago and now you are running as if participating in a Marathon....Concern evident in his voice...Sukh said it's getting late Sir I don't stay out for so long hours....Rishabh retreated I don't break Promises Ms. Mehra....I promised to drop you home safely..She replied No Sir Thank you so much for your concern I will manage....and left towards the doorHe thought to himself she is so stubborn and became angry...He hold her wrist to turn her around and saw her teary eyes!!!!He was mesmerized by her beautiful eyes....Just then his phone beeped and he comes across a message which says come home ASAP.... it was from home by his father ,he knows he didn't contact him if it's not urgent so he rushed out....Sukh said from behind Sir I will go all alone....Rishabh said..Ms. Mehra I don't break promises...He called his driver and asked him to drop her home safely she was still in the hope of retaliation when he said        Sukh I insist!!!!!concern evident in his voice and eyes ..... this was the first time he called her name....she was touched by his gesture...she nodded her head in response and left for her home with the driver not before turning around to face him...        Rishabh too leaves for his Mansion after she left.....he was guilty and ashamed of his perceptions ,he was sorry on his deeds he felt like this for someone for the first time ....On reaching his home he saw Dhruv and his father on the pool side        he made his way towards the place and asked him Dad why did you called me urgently is everything alright;His dad replied I didn't called you ...his mother's voice from behind said well it's not him it's me who called you .....he heard his father and Dhruv chuckling behind his back..Rishabh replied angrily Maa I was in office you should not call me for lame reasons....Sukhmani replied..excuse me !!!!lame reasons ; you know what you should get married to your office and go honeymoon with your laptop...Dhruv blurted bhaiya you should get married now... according to Maa..Rishabh glared him and said stop it dhruvi...Sukhmani continued Ofcourse beta you are going to be 29 soon and now it's time to get married....Rishabh refused saying I don't want to get married now....His mother continued.........a family of elites approached to us they will like their daughter to get married to you .even his father joined the debate and said it's true you should get married now....Rishabh refused everyone's suggestion and said I don't want to get married to girls who literally swoon over me for money what do you feel they are approaching us because they love me No it's all because of our status...what if I lost it someday ..they will leave me and if I am destined to be alone then why to get into false relationship....Sukhmani felt dishearted and said No son it's not like that...Rishabh got annoyed and said Maa I am going to my room to freshen up ...see you guys at dinner and went straight to his room....On the other side Sukh was greeted by her angry family.... especially her Mother...Seeing her, everyone bashed upon her with anger saying where was your phone you may mat have answered the call but you could still left us a message.. we were so worried about your well being. to their surprise Sukh hugged the trio together at a go and apologised saying Sorry woh humne aisa jaan ke nahi kiya.... aage kabhi bhi aisa nahi karenga (sorry guys it was unintentional I will never do it again...) and started crying...Everyone hugged her back and said it's Ok beta you don't need to cry even we are Sorry we should not have bashed upon you...After a while they broke the hug and her mother asked her to go freshen up it's time for dinner....Rishabh was sitting in his room lost in his own world.....he was thinking about the moments he spent with Sukh their first fight....the interview....and today's hug..... The fear in her eyes , the pain evident on her voice everything ....it was like these things were breaking him from within..his trail of thoughts were interrupted by a knock on his door , it was his mother.... he said Mom please you don't need to knock... and please don't get started with the marriage topic again I am fed up of it.....His mother sat beside him and said Marriage is an important part of life son , it completes you....I want to see my grand childrens .......imagine how beautiful your life will be after marriage you will have someone by your side , who will be there with you no matter what ,she will love you unconditionally...Rishabh glared his mother for few secondsand then grabbing her hands said Maa (mother) do you really feel those girls and their families who are approaching us for marriage are the ones who will be any of those you just said...look I am not against marriage but I am against marriage which will be felt like a contract or deal.... trust me Mom when I will find the right girl ,I will be the first one to commence my feelings to you...And to you both as well he said gesturing his hands towards the door....and continued Please come in guys I know you both are out there...His mother turned around to find Dhruv and Rakshit smiling sleepishly....She angrily exclaimed what you guys were doing here....it's bad to overhear someone's conversation..Rishabh replied abruptly but I am not someone else....and the three said together....We are a family!!!!! and everyone laughed out loud.....The same night....Rishabh was restless and was unable to sleep; the thoughts of Sukh was engrossing his mind..... a gust of wind blows and felt the cool breeze blowing outside..he went on his terrace and looked up to the bright moon pitch black night sky....He thought to himself I would have been never to forgive myself if something would have happened to her...I was so damm wrong in judging her .....I am really disappointed with myself ...... I surely must not have been judgemental , there was so much pain in her eyes today she was so scared ....Our hug...well it should not be called a hug it was just.... it was just like she was scared and so she...... Ahhhhh!!!! let it bebut the moment she embraced me my heart skipped a beat, was it my guilt.....Ofcourse it was...she was right, I judged her on my presumptions and not on my instincts....I can't forgive myself.....I will talk to her tomorrow....I surely will sort the differences between us ....Roohi were Sukh in there room sleeping in a deep slumberwhen Sukh reminded of today's incident in her dreams ....she saw herself at the same storeroom again, how she was stuck, her tears , her pleads for help...but there was no one... She jolted awake .....        Roohi too rises up seeing Sukh worried and asked her is everything alright ..Sukh replied to her yes dear siso everything is fine faking a smile ...Roohi intently looked at her and said Jiji you know what you can't lie to me now tell me what's wrong...Sukh glanced at her and said Promise me you will not tell about this to anyone not even Mom and Dad !!Roohi promised her to do the same so she narrated her the whole story.....When Sukh was done she saw Roohi fuming in anger ...she took out her phone and dialled Rishabh's no...Sukh tried to stop her but the call was connected till then.....she immediately took the phone away from her hands and said listen to me first...Roohi replied Jiji how can you be so naive, that Lavanya is lying and you can protest about it .and that Rishabh the so called business minded man is so stupid to beleive his stupid friend  you should atleast tell him your point he is so rude and arrogant...Sukh replied he may be rude and arrogant but he is not stupid, he just beleives his friend which don't deserve to be beleived ever, which everyone with a good heart will do ...and how can I point him out I don't have any proof of my innocence....I was never on his good books and every boss is like that everyone will not be like Khurrana Uncle , he barely know me and he sufferd a loss in his important business deal because of me , still he hired me......and today he was the one who took me out of that room else I may have died there because of fear and hunger....Roohi teased her saying no one dies of hunger in a day, Sukh smiled sheepishly to her and said. But I haven't eaten anything since the whole day even I missed my breakfast in order to reach early....She hugged her and said Jiji you know what you are a very good soul....Sukh replied to her saying you are no different....they both smiled to each other and Roohi narrated her the story of her Quiz Competition which Sukh missed today .....and later they went to sleep when out of the blues Sukh asked Roohi he must not be thinking of me to be an opportunist right....Roohi was startled and asked her why are you thinking this he must be the most stupid man if he thinks so.. you are the best and the gem of a person ... they both went to sleep after that****Rishabh came back to his room and checked his phone but find one missed call there...He checked the no to be Ms. Sukhpreet Mehra....He thought to himself why was she calling me so late is everything alrighthe was about to call her back when he finds its already 2:00 pm so he gave up the idea of calling her and went back to sleep....._____________________________________This was the longest chapter so far right😅...So guys we are at the end of the chapterHope you guys like itDon't forget to vote and commentSee you all in the next chapter update Till then Smile 😁😊This is me Signing out..bye
