Mira's POV

It's the day after the ball and I am in the living room of the Mikaelson house playing with Grayson. Kol is reading in an arm chair, while Klaus sketches on the couch. He has shown me some of his sketches before, but never the ones in that book. "Where's mummy?" I ask covering my face. "Here I am" I say taking my hands away. Grayson squeals happily clapping his hands. "Where's mummy?" I ask covering my face. "Here I am" I say taking my hands away. Only to see Grayson gone, I look around and smile when I see him crawling for the first time. He is heading over to Klaus. I take my phone out and record it.

Klaus looks up from his sketch book as Grayson tugged on his pants. "Well hello little one" he says with smile. I send the recording to Matt.

"He crawled to you" I tell him as I pick up Grayson. Who tugs my hair. "Cheeky" I say and blow a raspberry on his cheek. He squeals and laughs happily. Just then Rebekah enters the house in the same dress she was wearing last night.

Kol stands before Rebekah and blocking her way. "Well, well, well, there's our girl!" he says.

"Get out of my way, Kol" Rebekah tells him.

"Out all night. What a scandal! I trust you did better than that commoner? Matt, was it?" Kol asks.

"Wait, you brought Matt here last night?" I ask her. She nods and I frown. "I wonder why he didn't say hello or ask about our son" I muse.

"Really, you fancy a man who has a child with another woman?" Kol asks her in a teasing tone.

"If you don't shut your mouth, the next thing to come out of it will be your teeth" Rebekah snaps. Klaus smiles, not looking up from his sketch pad. "Don't start Nik" she tells him and he looks up.

"I didn't say anything" he says.

"I'm bored. Our sister is a strumpet, but at least she's having fun. I need entertainment" Kol states.

"What are you waiting for? Go on, have at it" Klaus tells him.

"It's not fun to go alone. Join me, Nik! It's the least you can do after sticking a dagger in my heart" Kol tells him.

"Okay. Why not? I didn't have nearly enough to drink last night, what with you trying to murder Rebekah's date" Klaus states.

"Can I come?" I ask him.

"Of cour..." he starts to say and pauses. "Actually I'd rather you stay here love, it'll make me happy" he tells me. I frown in confusion. I really wanted to get somethings for Grayson. But it'd upset Klaus is a I leave.

"But I wanted to get somethings for Grayson" I tell him.

"Make a list, I'll have Kimberly get it for you" he tells me.

"Ok" I say. "You and Kol have fun" I add with a fake smile.

"Yes, please go, this house has enough men rolling around it in" Rebekah states.

"Just like you Rebekah" Kol tells her with a smirk. She throws her shoe at him and he dodges it with a laugh. He leaves with Klaus, who was texting someone. No doubt Kimberly.

"Good riddance, both of you!" she exclaims. Klaus enters the room. Holding something in his hand.

"Rebekah" he says.

"Not you too, Elijah" she whines.

"I'm worried about mother. Have you not noticed her strange behavior?" he asks her.

"She's been dead for a thousand years. What's strange for her?" she asks him.

"Burnt sage" he says holding up the thing in his hand. "She was doing a privacy spell" he states.

"You know she fancies such things. Why don't you ask Finn? He's been doting on her" Rebekah tells him.

"I don't trust Finn. He hates what we are, he always has" Elijah states.

"That's not true. And as for mother, she returned for one reason, to make our family whole. She loves us. What trouble are you looking to find?" she asks.

"Mira, I am going to see Elena. Care to join me?" Elijah asks.

"No thanks, I need to put a list together for Kimberly. I hope you find out what your mother is up to" I state. I go upstairs with Grayson. I put him in his bouncer and my phone rings. I answer it.

"Mira, hi" Matt says.

"Hey Matt, how come you didn't say hello last night?" I ask him.

"You seemed busy with Klaus and Caroline" he states.

"Caroline lost her dad, as I am sure you know" I state. "Klaus invited me to the ball, I heard you went with Rebekah" I add. As I write the list for Kimberly.

"Yeah she invited me, then her brother Kol crushed my hand" he states.

"Matt, I'm sorry to hear that" I tell him.

"Do you think you and Grayson could come over?" he asks me.

"I wish I could, but I promised Klaus I'd stay" I tell him.

"Since when do you do what he says?" he asks me.

"If it wasn't for him Matt, I'd be dead right now and you'd be raising Grayson alone" I state.

"Oh my god" he says and there's a knock on my door.

"Mira, it's Kimberly" she says.

"Matt, I gotta go. I promise to visit soon" I assure him. Then hang up and open the door. "Hey Kimberly, I got you the list" I tell her and hand it to her. "Do you need money?" I ask her.

"No, Klaus said to put it on his card" she states.

"Oh ok, thanks doing this" I tell her. She nods and leaves. Grayson decides he wants a nappy change. So I give him one.

(Grill) Third Persons POV

"Why so glum brother?" Kol asks as they sit at the bar with their drinks.

"Mira is sired to me" Klaus states and downs his drink. He orders another.

"And you aren't happy? I thought you fancied her, or is it her blonde friend you fancy?" Kol asks.

"I do fancy Mira, but what if what she feels isn't real?" Klaus asks him. "She admitted herself that she has never been in love and doesn't know the feeling" he states.

"A sire bond wouldn't exist if she didn't have feelings for you" Kol tells him.

"But what if it exists because she is grateful she gets to raise her son and see him grow?" Klaus asks.

"Why not ask her?" Kol asks nodding to Caroline. "I remember her from last night, is she not Mira's friend?" he asks.

"Caroline!" Klaus calls gaining her attention.

"Oh it's you" she says. "Where's Mira and Grayson?" she asks.

"Back at the manor, join us for a drink?" Klaus asks her.

"Mmm, I'd rather die of thirst. But thanks" she says and leaves.

"Mira does have a stunning friend" Klaus states.

"She certainly looks good walking away from you" Kol tells him.

"Well I still want answers, wish me luck brother" Klaus tells him. Before following Caroline. Meanwhile Kol spots Meredith Fell and eyes her. "Don't be angry, love. We had a little spat. I'm over it already" he tells her when he catches up to Caroline outside the grill.

"Ah, well I'm not" she tells him.

"How can I acquit myself?" he asks her.

"You and your expensive jewelry and your drawings can leave me alone" she tells him.

"Oh, come on, take a chance, Caroline. Talk to me" he says sitting on a bench. "Come on, get to know me. I dare you" he tells her.

"Fine" Caroline says and sits beside him. "So, what do you wanna talk about?" she asks him.

"Your friend Mira. Her hopes and dreams, everything. And the sort of guy you think she'd like" he states.

"Just to be clear, Mira and I are too smart to be seduced by you" Caroline tells him.

"It's why I like her" he states. "But I want to know if she ever hinted at liking someone?" he asks.

"Well she's only ever dated two people" Caroline tells him. She tells him a bit more about Mira's past relationships with Tyler and Matt. "Though Bonnie would know more about what went on with her and Matt. As I was a little distracted by my new relationship with Tyler at the time" she states. "Why so curious?" she asks.

Suddenly Klaus gets up and puts his hand on his heart. He then looks at Caroline. "What is it?" Caroline asks him.

"What did you do?" he asks her.

"Nothing" she denies.

"What did you do?!" he demands.

"I didn't do anything. Stop it!" she shouts.

"Kol!" he says in realization. Klaus rushes over to the back of the grill, he undaggers Kol and knocks Alaric against the wall. Stefan tries to attack Klaus but Klaus knocks him out too. Before turning onto Damon. Before he can kill him, Elijah stops him. Klaus finds out they are linked and that their mother is trying to kill them. He calls Mira as he leaves with his brothers.

(Mikaelson Manor) Mira's POV

My phone rings again. Kimberly had returned not long ago with the things I needed. I smile when I see the caller ID. "Hey Klaus" I say happily when I answer.

"Mira, I want you to listen to me very carefully" he tells me.

"Is something wrong?" I ask him.

"I want you to take Grayson and go visit Jeremy in Denver" he states.

"Really? You think I'm ready to see him?" I ask him. I haven't seen Jeremy since I turned. He doesn't even know I'm a vampire.

"I do, now when you arrive I don't want you to tell anyone you here you've left. You are to stay in Denver with Jeremy until I've dealt with my mother" he states.

"Your mother?" I ask confused.

"Nothing for you to worry about" he assures me and relax. "Now pack and leave with Grayson. Don't look back" he tells me. I agree and we hung up. I pack mine and Grayson's things along with some food for him. I grab my cash and card. Before getting in my car with Grayson and leave Mystic Falls. Not knowing the danger Klaus and his siblings were in.
