Klaus' Family Missing

Mira's POV

It's been a little over a week since I returned home with Grayson. Matt and I have been able to talk and we just friends again. I haven't heard from Klaus since the night he killed Mikael. Life has been good so far. Though I'd be lying if I said I don't miss Klaus' company, he sort of grew on me in our time away.

Anyway, Elena and I are at the grill with Bonnie. Grayson is in a high chair as Elena tells Bonnie about her morning run. "I feel like I'm going crazy. Totally paranoid all the time" she states.

"You have a right to be. Klaus is still out there and he knows you tried to kill him" Bonnie states.

"But he also needs her to create hybrids" I remind them.

"Why hasn't he made a move? There has been no sign of him. Nothing. Just my slow spiral into insanity" Elena whines.

"Join the club. Every time I close my eyes, I have that nightmare. On repeat" Bonnie tells her.

"Guess I'm the only sane one here Grayson" I say and he babbles happily. We all smile at him. "So the same dream on repeat?" I ask Bonnie.

"Yeah! Four coffins, Klaus is in one of them. It's weird" she states.

"What if it's not just some dream? What if it's like...you know...witch dream?" Elena asks.

"Klaus has four coffins" I tell them.

"Coincidence" Bonnie tells us. "It's just stress. I'll figure it out. And what about Stefan? Has there been any sign of him?" she asks changing the subject.

"He betrayed us Bonnie. The Stefan that we know is gone" Elena states.

"How is Damon handling it?" she asks.

"Damon, is Damon" Elena answers.

"Can we not the discuss the vampire who nearly killed me?" I ask.

"Right, sorry" Bonnie says.

"Did you really get in front of Klaus?" Elena asks me.

"Yes, Mikael was a threat to everyone. Klaus was the only one who could kill him" I state. "Besides Klaus healed me" I state.

"Only because he wants a back up encase one of us dies" she states.

"Tell me what you really think Elena" I tell her.

"Ok, I think Klaus has compelled you. Why else would you dump Matt? And defend Klaus of all people?" she asks me.

"Bonnie why don't you take Gray, Elena and I need a sister talk" I state. She takes Grayson and leaves the grill. "Elena, you dumped Matt. How is it a surprise that I'd do the same?" I ask her. "Klaus only compelled me to leave town, nothing else" I state.

"But how do you know? He could have compelled you forget him compelling you" she states.

"Can we drop this conversation, we're never gonna agree in regards to Klaus" I state. She nods her head. "Ric ditched Damon" I add.

"I'm gonna go talk to him" she states.

"Ok, I'm gonna go get my son back. Stay out of trouble" I tell her. She nods her head and I go outside to see Bonnie waiting with Grayson. "Thanks for that" I say as I take him.

"You two ok?" she asks me concerned.

"Just a normal sibling disagreement. We'll get over it soon" I assure her. "Anyway, I'm late meeting Jeremy and Tyler" I tell her. "Have a good day" I say.

"You too" she says. I leave and go to the woods. It took me a while, but I soon find Jeremy and Tyler. They are having target practice with a crossbow while drinking.

"Hey guys" I say.

"Mira, how's my favourite nephew?" Jeremy asks.

"He's your only nephew and he is fine" I assure him.

"Here" Tyler says. Handing me the usual thermos. It has coffee in it. I drink it every time we meet. He is better at making coffee then Matt is.

"Thanks, I needed a coffee" I tell him. I remove the lid and take a sip.

"Little man keeping you up?" he asks.

"A new tooth is coming in" I state. "Mind if I have a shot?" I ask. Gesturing to the crossbow.

"Think you can handle it?" Jeremy asks teasingly. I hand Grayson to Tyler and take the crossbow from Jeremy. "Don't hurt yourself Mira" he tells me as I load the arrow. I roll my eyes and aim at a can. I fire and hit it.

"Nice shot" Tyler cheers.

"It's a gift" I say shrugging as I hand the crossbow back to Jeremy. "Dad taught me how to use one, one summer" I state. I have some more coffee as Jeremy goes to collect a few arrows.

"So what's the point of this again?" Jeremy asks Tyler.

"The point is I'm pissed at Caroline and Bonnie dumped your ass. Mira broke up with Matt. The point is to get drunk and shoot stuff" Tyler states.

"Correction, for you two to get drunk. I'm just here to shot stuff" I correct him.

"Profound. Alaric finds out I took this he is gonna use it on me" Jeremy states. He reloads the crossbow as Tyler hands me Grayson and goes to get himself another drink.

"So what's the deal with that? He is like your guardian now?" Tyler asks us.

"Sort of, yeah. I think he feels responsible for us" Jeremy answers.

"Do you guys like him?" Tyler asks.

"He's great, he is so good with Grayson" I state.

"Yeah. Yeah-I like him" Jeremy says as he aims the crossbow. "You wanna move out of the way?" he asks Tyler. Who chuckles.

"I'm a hybrid, Gilbert. You can't kill me unless you cut off my head or rip out my heart. And you're not gonna do it with that lame ass crossbow! Go ahead!! Take a shot! Unless you don't think you can hit me" Tyler dares him.

Jeremy aims the crossbow and shoots at Tyler. Tyler catches the arrow. They laugh. "Don't follow their example" I tell Grayson. Who coos happily making grabby hands at the crossbow.

"Looks like he wants a shot" Tyler states.

"Yeah, no. He is to young" I tell him. "We can teach him when he's ten or something" I state.

"Fair enough" he says. "My turn Gilbert" he tells Jeremy. Who hands him the crossbow. I sit on a log and continue to enjoy my coffee. I even gave Gray his bottle. Before putting him down for his late morning nap.

A couple hours later. We decide it's time for lunch. But first Jeremy and I had to pick up a few things from our house. When we arrive, we see Alaric and Elena. "Hey guys" I say and go upstairs to change Grayson. He had pooed his pants and I forgot to bring a change of clothes in his nappy bag. Once he was dressed, I go back downstairs. "Ok Jere, we're ready to go" I state.

"Change of plans, we're staying her for lunch" he tells me. I see he invited Tyler in.

"Fine with me" I state. "Need help in the kitchen?" I ask Elena as I hand Grayson to Jeremy. Who puts him in his bouncer. She nods and I go help her. Soon we are all sitting at the table enjoying lunch. Well I am, though I sense tension amongst the others. "Something wrong?" I ask them.

"This is weird. Klaus has hybrids stalking me and now you're just sitting in our kitchen" Elena says looking at Tyler.

"Wait, which hybrid?" I ask her.

"Tony I think" she states.

"Must have thought you were me, Klaus made him my bodyguard in Portland" I tell her.

"Look, maybe I should go" Tyler suggests.

"Oh, stay. You're not doing anything" Jeremy tells him.

"Yes, please stay" I add.

"Unless you have to, you know, check in with your hybrid master" Elena states. Making Tyler laugh.

"It's not like that Elena" he assures her.

"Tell me Tyler...What is the difference between being sired and being compelled?" Ric asks.

"Compulsion-that's just mind control-like hypnosis. And being sired is...it's like faith. You do something because you believe it's the right thing" Tyler explains.

"So you believe that serving Klaus is the right thing?" Elena asks him.

"I don't serve him. Klaus released me from a curse that was ruining my life. I owe him for that" Tyler states.

"What if he asked you to jump off a bridge?" Ric asks.

"He wouldn't! And even if he did I'd be fine. I'm a hybrid" Tyler answers.

"Okay, so what if he asked you to rip your own heart out?" Elena asks.

"Elena!" I snap.

"Again, he wouldn't" Tyler states.

"What if he did?" she asks.

"I don't know! Then I'd rip out my heart!" he exclaims. Scaring Grayson. I pick Grayson up and rock him gently. Humming. "You guys sound like Caroline, getting all freaked out over something you don't understand" he tells us.

"I do, you went through hell every full moon and Klaus saved you from that pain" I state.

"Thank you Mira" he says with a smile.

"You're right Tyler I don't understand. Klaus has terrorized every single one of us and you're just blindly loyal to him" Elena tells him.

"You're over-thinking it. I can still make my own decisions" Tyler tells her. "I gotta go, thanks for the food offer" he says.

"It's fine, don't be a stranger" I tell him.

"I'm sorry for scaring Gray, I didn't mean too" he states.

"It's fine, I'll see you out" I state and lead him to the door. As I hear Jeremy's phone ring. "You'll have my coffee tomorrow, right?" I ask and he chuckles.

"Of course" he says and leaves. I decide to go have a photo shoot with Grayson upstairs. It won't be long until he out grows a few clothes and he hasn't worn all the ones Caroline brought for him. So I'll take photos of him in each on the bed.

Before I could even decide the first outfit. I hear Ric and Elena shouting Jeremy's name downstairs. Then hear a screech of tires. I race downstairs with Grayson to see Jeremy and Elena dragging an injured Ric into the house. "What the hell happened?" I demand.

"Klaus compelled Jeremy to stand in front of a speeding car without his ring. Tony just ran Ric over" Elena states. I look at her shocked. What would drive Klaus to do this?

"What's Klaus after?" I ask. "He wouldn't do this without a reason" I state.

"He wants his family back, Stefan stole them" she states. "Look take Grayson to Matt's, you both will be safe there" she states. I agree reluctantly and leave with Grayson.

(Mikaelson Manor) Third Persons POV

Klaus and Mindy are walking through the rooms of a large mansion; workers are everywhere. "Compel the men to open up this wall. We need sun. I want a fortress not a dungeon" he tells her. She nods and leaves as Tyler appears. "Here he is: man of the hour!" Klaus says happily.

"So everything went okay?" Tyler asks.

"Tony ran down Alaric instead of Jeremy, but apples, oranges, message lands the same" Klaus states.

"You said you are sending them a warning" Tyler states.

"And I did. An effective one! Elena's family suffers, she is motivated to get me what I want" Klaus tells him.

"I didn't think that we actually have to kill anyone" Tyler stresses.

"Tyler, mate. What you are feeling is the remnant of a guilty conscience. I need you to get over it, okay? End of the day human life is just a means to an end. Our means to our end. You do well to remember that" Klaus tells him. "Did Mira have her coffee?" he asks. Tyler nods. "Good" he says and leaves the room. At least if anything bad happens to Mira, she'll live to raise her son. Thanks to his blood in her system.

(Matt's house) Mira's POV

I heard from Elena. Things have calmed down. But she recommended I stay at Matt's tonight. I agreed and made dinner with Matt & I. It was a peaceful night and I slept in a spare room with Grayson. While Matt slept in his. It was our first sleep over since we broke up and I returned to town. It wasn't awkward at all. Like I thought it'd be and I had a peaceful night sleep. After taking some Advil for a headache. I've been having them a lot recently at night. But it's usually gone by morning.
