Mira's POV
"I'm so proud of you Jeremy" I tell him when he told me the grade he got for his essay.
"Couldn't of done it without you and Anna" he states.
"We only help you get the research materials, you wrote the essay all by yourself" I state. "By the way, where is our ancestor journal?" I ask him.
"I loaned it to Mr Saltzman, he wanted to read it" he states.
"Just make sure you get it back, it's our family's history" I remind him. He nods his head. Just then Jenna appears. "What's up?" I ask her.
"Family night tonight, you both in?" she asks.
"I'm in" I say with a smile.
"Sounds fun" Jeremy states.
"Great, Mira please let Elena know" Jenna tells me. Before leaving the room. I went back to writing in my journal while Jeremy went back to sketching in his. I soon hear Elena return.
"I'm gonna go tell her about family night" I tell Jeremy. He nods his head. I put my journal down and headed to the kitchen to see Stefan and Elena going through a box of our ancestors things. "You guys looking for something?" I ask them as I grabbed an apple.
"Hey. Just going through some stuff, feeling sentimental. Dad had this old family journal from years ago. I thought I'd dig it up" Elena states.
"Johnathan Gilbert's journal?" I ask as I sit down and take a bite of the apple.
"Yeah, what do you know about it?" she asks.
"Jeremy just did a history essay on it" I state.
"Oh. So does that mean Jeremy still has it?" she asks.
"Nope, he loaned it to Mr. Saltzman. He wanted to see it apparently" I tell her with a shrug. "By the way, family night tonight Elena. We're all going to be there" I state.
"I'll be there" she states. "Thanks for the help" she tells me. I nod and finish my apple. Putting the core in the bin. Before returning to the living room.
(Time skip)
I'm in the kitchen with Jenna and Damon. Who is cooking dinner. I didn't want him here, but it's not like I can kick him out. "My father never approved of anyone I dated, which only made me want them more. Of course. What about you?" he asks us.
"My father did approve of Matt until he and Elena got drunk one night with Caroline. Though he never approved of my ex, turns out he was right about him" I state with a shrug.
"There were a few guys. Logan isn't the only loser I've dated" Jenna states.
"They ever find him? Or is he still missing?" Damon asks her.
"He's not missing. He's in the Bahamas working on his tan. Very entitled, that one. Marches to his own drum" Jenna explains. She drinks the rest of her wine. "He's a Fell. They're all snooty" she finishes.
Damon chuckles and walks over to Jenna, pouring more wine into her glass. She raises her glass to him and Damon turns back around to continue cooking. "Hello Elena" he says and I smile at my twin.
"Hey. Where have you been? We're cooking dinner" Jenna states.
"Well Damon is, he refuses to let me help and Jenna is happy to not help" I state.
"Is Stefan with you?" Damon asks Elena.
"Um - he'll be here soon" Elena answers. Elena leans against the counter which Jenna is sitting on and watches Damon with distaste. While I look Elena, she'd been acting weird all day. I hope everything is ok.
"Dinner is almost ready" Damon states.
"I'll watch it while you and Elena set the table. Mira, please go tell Jeremy dinner is almost ready" Jenna instructs. We all agree and I head upstairs to get Jeremy. Dinner was great. Damon is not a bad cook.
Anyway, we finished dinner. Damon is playing a game with Jeremy. While I am in the kitchen dry dishes and handing them to Elena. As Jenna washes them. "You said you never played this thing before" I hear Jeremy say.
"I'm a fast learner. Quick reflexes" Damon tells him. As Jeremy's phone bings as we finished the dishes. And Elena starts to go through a box.
"He is ridiculously hot" Jenna says.
"Who?" I ask.
"Damon" she says.
"Shh" Elena and I tell her.
"He's an ass" Elena states.
"And a jerk" I add.
"What are you doing with all this stuff?" Jenna asks.
"I thought there might be something about my and Mira's birth parents" Elena states.
"Honestly, I don't really care who they are" I tell her.
"Have either of you told Jeremy?" Jenna asks.
"No, not yet" I tell her.
"We will. When the time is right" Elena adds. She closes the box as the doorbell rings. "That's Stefan" she states.
"Dude!" Jeremy complains as I see Damon head for the door. I roll my eyes and take Damon's spot. Jeremy smiles and we continue the game.
Until Stefan, Damon and Elena join us. "So....I heard you found a really cool journal from back in the day. Who else did you show it to?" Damon asks Jeremy.
"Huh?" Jeremy says confused.
"Don't ask questions, just spill" Damon tells him.
"You're kidding me, right?" Jeremy asks.
"Jer, did you tell anyone other than Mr. Saltzman about Johnathan Gilbert's journal?" Elena asks.
"Why is everybody so obsessed with that thing?" Jeremy asks me. I shrug.
"Who else did you tell?" Elena asks.
"Just that girl Anna" he states.
"The hot, weird one?" Damon asks.
"Yeah" Jer says.
"Wait, who is Anna?" Stefan asks.
"That's what I want to find out" Damon states. Elena's phone rings and she left the room to answer it. Probably Bonnie wanting to update her on her date with Ben. "How do you know her?" he asks.
"We meet at the library" I tell him annoyed.
"She wants me to meet her at the Grill tonight" Jeremy adds.
"Perfect. I'll drive. Come on" Damon states leaving the room.
"Tell Anna I said hi" I tell Jeremy. He nods his head and left. "So what's going on?" I ask Stefan.
"Elena doesn't want you involved" he states.
"By being in this family, I'm involved. Spill" I tell him.
"Where's Damon?" Elena asks as she rejoins us.
"He left to track down Jeremy's friend Anna, see if there was anything there" Stefan tells her.
"Aren't you going to go with him? If he gets to the journal before we do, then..." Elena starts to rant. But Stefan pulls out a stake of papers.
"Doesn't matter" he tells her.
"What is that?" she asks him.
"It's a copy of it" he states.
"How did you get it?" we ask him.
"Well, Mr. Saltzman made a copy and was kind enough to loan it to me" Stefan states.
"He did?" Elena asks no convinced.
"Not exactly, but I got it" he states and she chuckles.
"Someone tell me what is going on right now" I demand.
"There's a tomb with vampires trapped inside. Damon is trying to find a way to open it and we are trying to prevent him from doing so. While pretending to be on his side" Elena states. Stefan gives her a look. "What? She would of stressed herself out if we didn't tell her. And that's not good for my future nephew" she tells him.
"Just be careful ok, I can't lose you Elena" I tell her.
"I'll be fine" she assures me. She gives me a hug. "Stay here and cover for us with Jenna" she states. Before leaving with Stefan. Soon Jenna appears with ice-cream.
"Where did everyone go?" she asks me confused.
"Jeremy had a date with Anna and Damon just bailed. Stefan needed to do homework and Elena went to help him" I lie.
"So much for family night" she mutters.
"Hey, next time we'll stay for dessert" I assure her. "Want to watch TV and eat the ice-cream?" I ask. She agrees and we put on Wipe Out. When it finishes, I decide to call it a night. As I head upstairs I see Jeremy arrive with Anna. "Hi guys, Jeremy you might want to apologize to Jenna" I state and he nods his head. "Nice to see you Anna, good night" I say.
"Night Mira" they say together and head for the kitchen. I head upstairs and got ready for bed calling it a night. I lay in my bed and fall asleep. Not knowing that Anna is a vampire or that she would kidnap my twin sister.
