Chapter 4: Chapter Three

GUN'S POV

I was shocked seeing Oab, I completely forgot about him! I'm stupid. I don't know how to approach him... I put my stuff down and asked him to follow me on the porch.

"So where have you been?" Oab asked.

"I'm sorry Oab" I started

"Gun, I told you I'm gonna fetch you, I went to the studio you work at, the lobby said everybody left already, you didn't even bother to pick-up my calls and you didn't even replied to my messages" He said.

Oab is different when he's mad. He really gets scary...

"Oab I'm sorry, I went out to have dinner with the people I worked with today, I was really having the great day, I was assigned assistant to the director today. Oab that's my dream remember?" I told him hoping he would understand the partial lie I pulled off.

"Can you hear yourself right now? You're selfish, I'm out of here" He said

"Oab-----" He cut me off by leaving me on the porch.

With that, he left me right there. I felt my tears flow. I felt really sad and lost, he of all people should know that this is my dream, I'm finally reaching it! But deep inside me, a spark of anger started... I'm selfish for choosing to make myself happy now huh?

I walked inside the house only to find my dad eavesdropping by the door. Ugh, sometimes I just can't with this family!

"I told you, film won't get you anywhere, now you lost your boyfriend to it. What's next?" He said

"Dad, that has nothing to do with it..." I tried to defend myself as I fight back my tears.

He sighed and looked at me with disappointment in his eyes. He never liked my choices, having a boyfriend is already a big disappointment, choosing film has been a greater disappointment. But I said I want to be happy. I don't want his business, I don't want the company.

Pim on the other hand doesn't struggle like I do, she's the favorite, they'd do anything for Pim, she even said she likes to take up film to become and actress and Dad is willing to talk to his connections for Pim. For me, I'm on my own, he said after I finish my studies I need to make a living on my own.

I went to attend my classes the next day, It's the day we start filming for the partner project...

"So you agreed to be Off's partner? What happened to charity project??" Tay asked as if I made a decision that made me look like I was out of my mind.

"Tay, I judged him too fast, he promised it won't be a charity project" I said.

Tay seemed disappointed but he's my best friend so he supports me with everything, literally everything.

"You're never that easy to please, and as your best friend, I'm just saying, you have Oab, don't break your boyfriend's heart." He told me

"Tay, it's just a project" I said and rolled my eyes

"Yes it is. But it can also lead to different things Gun, I know how easy you give in to people, I'm just warning you too" He said

The class started without any Off Jumpol showing up, I sighed. I took my iPad out and decided to make an outline, I'll do things on my own if he doesn't show up.

After all my classes I saw Off coming down from his van. He immediately ran towards me.

"Sorry I missed the class, I had some schedules" He smiled

"Off, if this keeps happening I'm backing out." I said

"No, Gun I'm sorry, tell me what do you want me to do, I'll do it" He said

"Show up next time. No more excuses, you chose to study and even be my partner so if you wanna have that project, we do things on my terms." I said

He was quiet for a while as if he was thinking. Huh, I knew it! He's just like any other artist, can't get enough of the limelight huh?

"Okay" He said and smiled

He smiled goofily and kept saying sorry until I saw Oab looking at me from a distance...

"Off I have to go, I'll send you the outline and schedule" I said hurriedly

I walked towards Oab who still looks at me as if there's no emotions in his eyes.

"Hey" I said as I approached him

"You're friends with famous people now huh?" He said

"Oab, he's my classmate" I said

"Yeah Gun, he's also someone you could work with in that studio, someone you could have dinner dates with" He said and started walking away

"Oab what is wrong with you? The dinner was with people I worked, Off is just my classmate" I said getting frustrated

"Go ahead, do whatever you want Gun" He said as he got into his car and left me all alone there

I tried to stop the tears from falling. He's frustrating!

Tay Tawan

Hey Tay?

Where are you?

Let's go have some drinks, it's on me.

You okay?

Should I call the boys?

I mean... Krist, Singto, and Arm?

Yes please, I'll ask Jane and Olive to come too.

Upside Down Club, I reserved a table.

I decided to make a lot more bad decisions today, I'm exhausted with this life. If people see me as disappointment then why not rub it in their faces instead of them rubbing it on my face?

"Where are you going?" Dad asked as he saw me heading downstairs after I've changed my clothes

"Out with my friends" I told him

"Wasting more money on something that would disappoint us? Great" He said with great disappointment on his voice

"Maybe" I said

I had enough. I don't really answer my parents and all but today was too much. If I could run away I would. Everything said to me, all those words stabs me everytime and they never get pulled out they are just being stab to me deeper.

"Gun, wow that's a lot" Tay said as he saw the drinks I've ordered.

"That's just enough to feel numb from all the bullshits I have in life" I said

I ignored everything, even turned my phone silent. I don't want anything from my reality tonight. I don't want any of it, I just want to feel numb.

After a lot of shots, I felt physically numb and my vision is spinning and blurry. This is what I want. I pulled myself off the leather couch. I pulled Tay on the dance floor and started dancing and having fun.

The crowd started to get wild when the DJ announced that there are celebrities in the bar. I didn't mind and kept dancing and ordered more shots for myself

"Gun I think that is enough" Tay said

"No" I firmly said as I downed one more tequila shot

"Oab has been calling" Arm shouted a little as it was too noisy already

"I don't care" I told them and ordered more shots

I kept dancing and all until I couldn't stand on my own two feet. This is nirvana.

TAY'S POV

I looked over to Arm who has Gun's phone, Gun passed out already on the couch. He was too drunk, this is his way of dealing with things in his life, even though it looks like he's just running away from them.

"Oab is coming" Arm told me.

We patiently waited for Oab, I know they are not in the best situation. But atleast he's still here for Gun, I know he still loves Gun, it's just that sometimes he loves him too much he becomes selfish with Gun.

"Hey Oab, take it easy on Gun, he's not at the best state right now" I said as he arrived.

"I'm just dropping him off at his house, we're not in good terms anyway" Oab said.
