Chapter 20: Chapter Nineteen

GUN'S POV

I woke up early the next day, I wanted to see the sunrise, I'm pretty sure it would be as pretty as the sunset yesterday. I wanted to sleep more but I also wanted to make most of my time in this short vacation, who knows when the next one will be?

I opened my phone and checked the notifications I got. I was flooded with Tay's messages and it was funny because he's being a delusional.

I giggled and sent him a message telling him the things we did yesterday and how I am enjoying the mini vacation a lot. I'm pretty sure he's still sleeping and he'd flood me with messages again when he wakes up.

I made my way to the balcony where we watched the sunset last night, the ocean breeze was kind of cold so I took the blanket with me and wrapped myself with it. The skies are starting to light up and I was just silently waiting for the sun to rise, I was still kind of sleepy and the cold air that brushes up my face is making me a lot more sleepy.

"Good morning" I almost jumped out of the chair I was seating on when Off appeared from nowhere. He laughed at my reaction and took a seat beside me.

"Good morning" I replied to him.

"You're still sleepy why wake up already?" He asked me

"I wanted to watch the sunrise. It's pretty, I rarely get chances like this" I told him honestly.

"I could always just kidnap you or you can tell me when you want to come back." He told me.

"Aren't you busy? Plus we're gonna have to be busy with the study too, and I still have my coffee shop to manage" I said.

"This could be our escape" He said

Comfortable silence filled up our surroundings and we could hear the distant sound of the waves from the seashore as the sun rose making the sky go brighter and brighter.

"Come on, I'm pretty sure P'Geen is already making breakfast, let's eat then we can go for swim and we could enjoy some water activities" Off said as he stood up from his seat.

I followed him when we were going down, and since the blanket was long, I almost tripped down but Off managed to catch me in time and for a brief moment we were staring at each other, I could feel his breath on my skin because he was too close.

I snapped back to reality and awkwardness started to fill me so I started laughing and good thing Off did too. I went back to the room to get ready for the day, when I went out I was wearing a pair of board shorts and a swim shirt. Off was also ready but instead of swim shirts, he was wearing a casual muscle tee.

There were omelette, waffles, bacon, hash browns, spam and fried rice ready on the dining table when we got there. It was too much for two persons but Off was like a kid in a candy story when he saw all of the food that were prepared by P'Geen for us.

"Here's your favorite hot choco N'Off" P'Geen said as she placed a cup in front of Off.

"Thank you, did you make the drink for Gun?" He asked looking for that drink he was referring to.

"Yes, here's the caramel macchiato for N'Gun" P'Geen said walking back to us with another mug.

My eyes sparkled when I saw the transparent mug, the ombre color of the macchiato made me excited for it.

"You do like spicy foods right?" Off asked me while getting some food on his plate.

"Yes, why?" I asked him in return.

"You won't be having much of it while we're here. I don't like spicy foods that much" He said.

P'Geen laughed at him and she decided to leave us. I wanted her to join us but she said her family is also waiting for her. They live right beside this beach house and Off has this communication system with her whenever we are gonna need something.

Off requested P'Geen to ask another person to get the jet ski ready for him and also the speed boat so that we can do activities when we finish eating. I thought it was rentals but to my surprise Off owns all of them.

"Why are you still working so hard Off? You're already rich" I asked him as I grabbed the nth ash brown.

"I used to be so dependent and spoiled by my parents and I wanted to return all their efforts so bad in the ways that I can. It's fun listening to my mom complain not about the struggles but about how much I'm giving her" She said

I smiled. We all just really want to please our parents and family don't we? We finished eating and we decided to go to the beach already so we could swim and enjoy all the activities we could do.

"What's on your bucket list Off?" I asked as we were seating by the shore.

"Actually live in Japan, have a tour around asia, try capsule hotels, eat macarons at paris, have my own drive in movie theatre, actually settle peacefully with my family... no more fame and such, I wanted to try skydiving, visit as much beaches as I can" He told me

"At least your bucket list is more achievable

"Haha, yeah as long as I don't get distracted" He said and threw a bit of sand to me.

He continued swimming and I decided to build myself a sand castle that is already failing because I only have a bucket that we picked up at the side of the house.

"Gun, join me" Off said splashing water towards me and it hit the sand castle I was trying to build.

"You ruined my sand castle!" I said and threw the clumps of sand to him

He giggled and I ran towards the water and we kept splashing water to each other. The day wouldn't be complete without the photos of course, we took as much photos we could get by the beach.

After enjoying the waters Off took the jet ski and rode around for a few minutes...

"Gun, come on, I'll drive" Off told me offering me hand for me to ride the jet ski with him.

I was hesitant at first because I know we'd be going to the deep waters and even though I love the beach so much, there's always gonna be a part of the ocean that will scare me but today isn't a day to be scared so I decided to reach for his hand and climbed behind him.

Off drove slowly and steady at first, I was only holding on the seat and I was trying to balance and steady myself behind him.

"Gun, hold on to me, we're gonna go around fast now" He said

I was blushing semi-hugging him, he couldn't see it anyway, before he drove he took his phone from the waterproof compartment and snapped a photo of us which made me blush more because I was sort of back-hugging him.

It was fun riding around the jet ski, I often screamed because Off played pranks on me with suddenly jolting the jet ski forward and hitting the breaks.

"I'm getting down, I hate it here" I said and laughed when he did it again.

When we got tired, he called someone who brought over the speed boat and we rode that, it was almost sunset again when that happened and we decided to stop in the middle of the ocean to watch it.

"I'll never get tired of this" I said as I watch the sun set...

"It's the best" Off said from behind me.

We went back before it was completely dark, we didn't immediately changed and dinner was prepared for us outside like a picnic beside the pool.

"I'm gonna go swimming again a little after dinner, if you wanna change already go ahead" Off told me.

"Nah~ Might as well as enjoy all the perks of my free instant vacation" I said and giggled.

"This is only the first Gun, I'll always kidnap you now when we get the free time" He said.

We enjoyed the rest of the time we had there, the next day we needed to go back already. Off has a scheduled shoot for 3 days and I need to go back to the works that I've left, I wasn't able to do anything while we were on that mini vacation. It was past lunch when we got back, Off dropped me off at my house and I decided to unpack tonight and go visit my coffee shop to do some work even though I'm still clearly on a vacation hang over.

"Well, are you still single?" Somebody walked over to my table and when I looked up it was Tay.

"Oh shut up clown, we're good friends" I said as he pulled out the chair in front of me.

"I thought you won't come back anymore, how was Pattaya?" He asked, obviously digging up the info about the vacation.

"Still Pattaya, places doesn't change when people visit them" I said sarcastically to annoy him.

"Oh come on, how was it? How was your relationship with Off now?" Tay asked.

"The vacation was fun, very relaxing actually. The relationship? Is there one? I mean, will it ever exist? we're friends, good friends" I told him and continued to work on my laptop.

"Just Friends, don't do what we do" Tay sang and teased me.

He stayed with me and worked as well with the constant annoying teases he has for me about Off.

"Hahahaha even thai press is crazy, have you seen this?" Tay showed me his phone.

JUST IN: Actor Off Jumpol returns for shooting today after an allegedly vacation with his best friend or more known as secret relationships as per his fans.

It was the headline for the online post of a local tabloid news source here in Thailand and attached to it was a photo of us in the beach and some paparazzi takes of Off which I guess were from today?

"Ugh, they are creating drama" I said and handed the phone back to him.

"There are some of Off's fans here in the coffee shop and I'm pretty sure they are talking about it as well" Tay said looking around.

"Just let them be, it's what being friends with Off is like. Let people talk, we know all the truth" I told him.

We worked a little more until I was too lazy to do more paperworks.

"I'm gonna go head home, I'll have dinner with the family." I told Tay.

"Okay, take care" He said.

I went straight home and grandma was beyond happy seeing me there because I rarely got the chance to join them for dinner. It was not yet time for dinner when I got home so I lied down my bed while I wait.

I told Off that and I put my phone down. I'm still not over the past two days... Gun, you can't fall deeper for someone you can't have! I know I was falling more for Off even thought I keep telling myself that we're just friends and that there will never be a chance for me and him... but I couldn't help it, he's just too perfect for me.
