Chapter 28-Friends Best Friends.
Loving The Bad Boy
Chapter 28- Friends, Best Friends.
-Amy-
"Amy." I heard a voice call my name softly. I ignored the voice and rolled over on my stomach covering my head with a pillow.
"Amy." I heard the voice call out again sounding irritated. This damn voice was getting annoying but I was too tired to open my eyes to see who this person was or to even throw an insult at them.
"You know what, no more being nice." I furrow my eyebrows at that statement, whoever this was, was not being nice if they were interrupting my sleep. Suddenly I felt my warm cuddly pillow being ripped away from my grasp letting my head fall onto the mattress and smacked repeatedly at me.
Now I was pissed, I grabbed the pillow and yanked it. Whoever the person was fell onto my bed with an 'omph'. I sat up on my bed and took the same pillow and smacked the person repeatedly with even more force. Ha! How do you like that now jerk!?
"Amy! Amy stop! It's me!" The voice yelled and I looked down to see Matt looking up at me.
"Matt, what the hell?" I glanced over to the clock on my nightstand. The neon color light flashed 7:30 am. "Matt, its freaking 7:30 in the morning! What the hell are you doing here so early especially on a Saturday morning!?" I yelled at him. Matt just looked up at me with an innocent look on his gorgeous face. I wanted to kiss him because of how cute he looked but I refrained from it because I was still pissed he came and woke me up so damn early!
"You have my phone." He stated simply. I groaned and fell back onto the bed.
"Matt, it's on the coffee table in the living room. Right where you left it last night when we were watching the movie. You could have just picked it up and left, instead of waking me up from wonderful sleep." I retorted.
"I just can't come and not see my gorgeous girlfriend." He said with a smile as he propped himself up with his hand to his head. I blush at his statement and smack his arm. He knew saying things like that would have me blushing red like tomato.
"It's too early for this." I said trying to cover the blush. Matt just chuckled.
"What are you doing today?" He said pulling me into his embrace. I wrapped my arms around his torso and rest my head on his chest.
"Emma and I are gonna hang out for day. We haven't had a day for just us in a long time." I said cuddling into him. "How about you?" I asked.
"I'll probably spend the day with Lacey. I felt like I haven't spending enough time with her." Matt said stroking my hair softly. I smile at his words, Lacey is Matt's four year old sister and she is the cutest thing ever! She has dark blonde hair and huge blue eyes that make her seem so innocent. I met her couple of times and I completely love her, she's like the little sister I never had.
"Aww, aren't you the sweetest big brother ever." I teased him. Matt rolled his eyes but didn't complain, he is a pretty awesome big brother, no matter what he always makes time for Lacey and is always there when she needs him. It's adorable.
Matt and I stayed cuddled up for a few more minutes before he said he had to go so he can get home before Lacey woke up. We got up and Matt grabbed his phone so he wouldn't forget it again. I walked him to the front door. "How did you get in here?" I asked.
"I have my ways." He said with a smirk and I just rolled my eyes. "Your back door was unlocked so I just came in." He said with a shrug of his shoulders.
I gapped at him. "Really? I thought I locked it last night!"
"I guess you didn't, but please do lock it. You don't want creeps to come in."
"Like you?" I said with a smirk and Matt just laughed.
"Seriously though, lock it. I don't want anything to happen to you especially since we all have Mark on our tails." He said seriously and I nodded.
"I will, but it's nice to know you care." I said with a smile.
"Of course I care. You're my girlfriend after all." He said grinning at me. "I have to go now." He said opening the front door.
"Alright. Bye Matt." I said holding the door open.
"Aw, that's all I get?" He said grabbing me by the waist pulling my body towards him.
I giggled softly. "What more do you want?" I asked.
"You know exactly what I want." He said leaning closer his lips brushing softly against my own. I leaned in and press my lips softly against his soft ones. I felt sparks fly as his lips start to move against mine, my lips followed the rhythm of his own and before I knew it we were having a full on make out session on the front steps of my house. I pulled away a bit breathless the same time he did and rested my forehead against his.
"You better get going." I said not really wanting him to go, but I knew he had too.
"Yeah, you're right." Matt pecked my lips softly. "I love you, baby."
"I love you too." I said smiling like an idiot at his words. Matt let go of me and promised that he would call me later then left. I walked back into my house and shut the door. Who knew that I, Amy Johnson, would be dating Matt Ryder? At first I thought he was jerk who was full of himself and played girls like a game, but once I got to know him better I found out I judged him wrong. Yes, Matt has his jerk kind of ways and is a bit full of himself, but he's also a very sweet, fun loving guy and before I knew it I was falling for him. I never thought he would feel the same for me but I was wrong he felt the same way I did and now we're dating and in love. Yes, I'm in love with Matt Ryder. Shocking.
After Matt left, I went back to room and crashed for a few more hours until Emma came over. I heard some shuffling in my room, I opened my eyes and saw a pair of bright green ones staring down at me. "Still sleeping, huh?" Emma said with a grin.
I shook my head and sat up. "Yeah Matt came freaking 7:30 in the morning for his phone that he left here last night."
Emma chuckled. "If Aiden bothered me so early in the morning, I probably drop kick his ass out of my house." I laughed at her statement because it was true, she would definitely do that.
"What do you wanna do today?" I asked.
"Mhm, how about we just laze around all day, watch movies and pig out on junk food?" She said.
"See this is why I love you, you always know what I want to do before I even tell you."
"We are best friends after all." She said lying down next to me.
Emma and I have been best friends since Kindergarten. It's always been me and her and sometimes Nick, but no matter what I can always count on her to have my back no matter what. I love this girl completely, she's like my twin, the sister I never I had.
"We're more than best friends, more like sisters." I said with full honestly because no matter what she will always be my best friend and sister all wrapped into one.
She smiled at me, "Best friends forever." She said and I nodded.
Best friends forever, Sisters for a lifetime.

-Derek-
"Dude, come on! I'm beating your ass at this game!" Aiden yelled at me as is fingers worked furiously at the game controller in his hands. We were currently sitting in his game room playing Call of Duty.
"Bitch, please! If you haven't notice, I'm beating your ass at this game." I retorted, keeping my full attention on the screen in front of me. A half an hour later and I came out victorious, beating his ass at the game. "Pay up." I said with a smirk on my face extending my hand.
Aiden muttered a few colorful words under his breath, but reluctantly place a hundred dollar bill in my hand. "I let you win." Aiden said trying to keep his pride.
I chuckled. "Yeah right, man. You're just saying that because you lost." I said walking over to the mini fridge and grabbing two cans of soda. I threw one over to him and he grabbed it with one hand. I went over and plopped down the bean bag chair that I was on before and cracked open the can of soda. "Where's Mia?" I asked him.
Aiden lounged on his bean bag chair stretch out his legs and took a sip of his soda. "Emma and Amy invited her to spend the day with them, just them girls."
"She fits in perfectly with them, doesn't she?" I asked and Aiden nodded.
"Yeah, I'm glad that she does get along with them so well. I thought when Emma found out that I used to be in love with Mia that she would hate her from the start, but Emma looked passed that and didn't judge Mia for anything she did. They're becoming great friends. Even Mia and Amy are close." He said obviously happy that the girls were getting along so well and so was I. I knew Emma wouldn't automatically hate Mia because Aiden use to be in love with her. Emma is the type of person that wouldn't judge you by your past or anything only by your personality and that's one of the many things that first attracted me towards her. I felt a pang in my heart when I thought about her, I knew I can't be with her or anything, she's with my best friend and they're in love. I'll just have to move past it and I am, slowly but surely.
"You really love Emma, don't you?" I asked him.
Aiden grinned at the mention of her. "Yeah, I do." That made me smile. I'm glad that Aiden found someone he can truly love and who can love him back just as much. He really did deserve it, especially after all the shit he's been through.
I slapped his back. "Good, man. You do deserve it, I'm glad you guys are happy." I said honestly. I am glad they're happy with each other and in love. As long as my best friend was happy, I was happy. "Hey, where's Matt?" I asked.
"He's spending the day with Lacey." Aiden said. I smiled at that, Lacey is lucky to have a great big brother like Matt, plus she is the sweetest little thing ever. I wish my own sister was just as sweet and not so stubborn some times. Riley, can be a stubborn, smart mouth fifteen year old girl, but I love her all the same, she and my mother are the only blood family I have.
"That's great." I said then finished the can of soda in my hand.
Aiden turned to me and smirked. "Wanna do something we haven't done in awhile?"
I raised an eyebrow at his words. "Like what?"
"Just follow." He said standing up and walking out the room, I got up and followed him out of curiosity. We walked out to Aiden's huge car garage and he opened it. Then it clicked.
"Racing my friend? Very wise choice." I said with a smirk. He smirked back and I glanced inside and saw a brand new cherry red Audi R8 Coupe and sleek black Mercedes- Benz SL63 AMG. "I call the Audi!" I yelled sprinting to it. I was like a kid in a candy store with these cars!
"Hey that's not fair!" I heard Aiden complain as I slipped into the driver seat.
"Yeah, whatever man. I got here first!" I retorted which caused Aiden to mutter something under his breath.
"Fine, but I'll still beat your ass." He said sliding into the driver's seat of the Mercedes.
"You wish." I said making the engine of the car roar alive the same time Aiden did. We drove the cars out the garage and onto the long strip of road we use to race at the back of his house and pulled down our windows.
"You know the rules. First one to make to the end of the road before the graveled part starts wins." I nodded.
"Stakes?"
"Bragging rights." He said.
"Perfect, now I'll make sure to definitely beat your ass." I said with a smirk.
"Don't get to cocky, my friend." Aiden said.
"Me? Never." Aiden just rolled his eyes.
"Ready." He said.
"Set" I said.
"Go!" We both yelled at the same time and pressed down on the gas pedal. We sped down the road, I shifted my gears allowing me to speed up and I saw Aiden do the same through my side mirror. At some points I would be ahead of Aiden and some points he would be ahead of me, but over all we were both going at the same speed not allow either one of us to pass each other. I saw that I close to the gravel road, so I shift gears and pressed down on the gas. Aiden caught on, on what I was doing and did the same. We both came to the end of the gravel road around the same time, it was too close to call, but I believe I won. I press on the brakes and turned the wheel causing the car to turn around and back onto the road and drove back to his garage.
Aiden pulled up next to me. "I won." He said simply.
"You're kidding right? I so came ahead of you at the last!"
"Hell no! I came ahead at the last!" Aiden exclaimed as he parked the car and stepped out of it. I did the same. We argued for a few more minutes about who won before finally calling it a tie.
"Here" Aiden said handing me a beer when he came back out from his house. I took the beer, thank him and twisted the top of and took a sip as I leaned against the hood of the car.
"It's been awhile since just you and I hanged out." I said and Aiden nodded.
"I know. I've just been busy with Emma and this damn Mark thing."
"Have you heard anything about him?" I asked.
"Not a thing, it's like he disappeared. But I've seen his men around keeping an eye on us so I have my guard up."
I nodded and glanced at Aiden he looked tense and I saw guilt in his eyes. "Aiden, you know if we had a chance to change anything that happened that cause us to get involved with this situation we wouldn't change it. So stop looking so guilty, man. I'll always have your back." I said slapping his back.
Aiden turned and smiled at me. "I'm glad my best friend got my back."
"I'm not just your best friend, I'm your brother, just like Matt and you guys are mine too."
"Bros forever." Aiden said slapping my hand.
Best friends forever, Brothers for a lifetime.

-Matt-
"Matty, thank you for the ice cweam!" Lacey exclaimed with joy.
I ruffled her dark blonde hair softly. "You're welcome, sweetie. You just have to promise to eat all of your dinner out tonight. Can you do that for me?" I asked.
She nodded vigorously. "Yes!" She exclaimed and latched her little body onto my leg.
I chuckled and picked her up and held her in my arms as I walked into our house. I heard voices coming from the kitchen area. I set Lacey down in the corridor and she ran straight to the kitchen while I just walked there.
I saw my parents at the counter of the large kitchen chopping away vegetables for whatever they were cooking for dinner. "Mommy, Daddy!" Lacey exclaimed running up to my parents.
"My babies!" My mother said picking up Lacey and giving me a big kiss on the cheek.
"Mom." I whined and she just grinned at me. "Hey dad." I greeted slapping his hand.
"Hey Matt. You took Lacey out for the day?" He asked after giving Lacey a kiss on the cheek.
"Yup." I said as I took a seat on one of the bar stools at the counter. "I took the little monster out."
"Hey! I'm not a monster!" She protested.
"Okay okay, I mean my cute adorable little monster." I corrected and she just grinned at me.
"Where did Matt take you?" My mom asked her.
"Matty took me to the park and spent the whole day playing with me and he bought me my favorite ice cweam!" Lacey answered.
"Well it sounds like you had a full day and a pretty great big brother." My dad said.
"Yes!" She said nodding her head causing her hair to move all over and I chuckled. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and I pulled it out. It was a text from Derek, I read it and replied.
"I'm gonna go meet Derek and Aiden. I'll be hanging out with them for the rest of the night. "I told my parents and they nodded in understanding and bid me a goodbye. I gave Lacey a kiss on the cheek and told her I'll be back later.
I walked out my house and saw a sleek black car pulled up in my roundabout driveway. I slipped into the backseat and closed the door. "Hey guys." I greeted them. Aiden was in the driver seat and Derek in the passenger.
"Hey man." They greeted in unison.
"So what are we doing tonight?" I said slapping their backs with a smirk plastered onto my lips.
"How about we go see what the girls are up to, since we haven't seen them all day?" Aiden said.
"Sounds like a plan to me." I replied. It took us about fifteen minutes to get to Amy's house. When we pulled up to her house all the lights were off except a flashing light from the living room due to the TV. "Hey guys, wanna play a little prank on them?" I asked with a smirk on my face.
"Of course." Aiden said.
"What do you have planned?" Derek asked.
"Just follow me and be silent." I said getting out the car. Derek and Aiden follow my movements as we walked around the house to the back careful not make a noise. I placed my hand on the door knob of the back door and twisted it. Unlocked of course! Remind me to beat Amy with another pillow. I opened the door and let the guys in shutting the door silently.
We hid behind the counter top. I glanced over it and saw that the girls were watching a Paranormal Activity 2. These girls hate scary movies, but still watch them. I'll never understand them. "Okay, we sneak into the living room and scare the living shit out of them. Got it?" They nodded. Derek was going to scare Mia, Aiden to Emma and I to Amy. We tiptoed into the living room and set up our positions, the girls were oblivious to anything around them and were in a trance due to the movie.
I count us off with my fingers, once I got to three we placed our hand firmly on the girls' shoulders causing them to scream and thrash around causing popcorn and soda to fly around the room. They turned around and since it was dark they couldn't see us. Emma took her shoe and started to beat Aiden with it, Mia took the remote and did the same, Amy took the pillow and for the second time for day I was getting beat by a pillow.
"Amy, Ames!" I yelled but she continued her abuse.
"Em, Emma!" Aiden tried but Emma kept hitting him.
"You guys! It's us!" Derek yelled causing the girls to stop. Emma went and switched on the lights.
"You assholes!" They said together with hands on their hips.
"You didn't have to scare the living shit out of us!" Mia said glaring at us.
"It was Matt's idea! I'm never listening to him again. I almost died by getting beaten with a remote." Derek said. "By the way good arm, Mia." Mia grinned at him.
"And you idiots listened?" Emma said glaring at Derek and Aiden.
"Well it seemed like a good idea, but I didn't know my girlfriend would maul me with a shoe!" Aiden replied glaring back at Emma.
"I took this as teaching you a lesson on locking your back door." I said looking at Amy and realization crossed her features.
"God damn it! I swore I locked my back door!" Amy exclaimed and I just shook my head.
"Well, I locked it for you. See what could happen if you do?" I asked.
"Oh shut up. You're just trying to cover up your stupid prank." Amy said and I just smiled at her cheekily.
After a few more minutes of the girls complaining on how we crashed their girls night, they turned off the movie and we lounged around eat popcorn, telling jokes and stories and just enjoying each other's company.
I put my arm around Amy's shoulders pulling her close and glanced around the room to my friends. Aiden had his arm around Emma, Derek was lounging in the love seat and Mia was sitting on the floor next to it. They all laughed at something Derek said, but I wasn't paying attention. The thought that ran across my head was that these guys weren't just my friends, they are my best friends. The people I care for, the ones I joke around with and play pranks on. It wasn't just Derek, Aiden and I anymore. We now had a tight group of best friends. We're not only best friends, but family.
Best friends forever, Family for a lifetime.
