Loving The Bad Boy

Chapter 10- Whoop Whoop, Party time! Not.

-Emma-

I’m gonna murder Amy. I never agreed to this damn party! But when I saw the grin on Derek’s face I couldn’t say no. So here I am now with Amy, my so called best friend in her room, getting ready for a party I didn’t even want to go to. I called my mom letting her know I’ll be staying at Amy’s for the night, so I got that covered. Amy can be so damn frustrating.

“What are you gonna wear?” Amy asked as she tumbles through her closet.

“Jeans and a shirt?” I question and she turned around to scold at me.

“No” She said sternly. “How about a dress?” She said sending a smirk in my direction. No way, No freaking way. Amy knows how much I hate wearing dresses, I only wear dresses when it’s necessary and this is not a necessary situation.

“No.” I stated.

“Please Em!” She begged giving me the puppy dog eyes as she turned away from her monster closet to face me.

I’m not gonna cave.

“Emmy.” she pleaded moving closer as her eyes get wider.

No way in hell! Don’t cave Em.

“Please” she pleaded sticking out her bottom lip in a pout.

Don’t you dar-

“FINE!  I’ll wear a damn dress.” I muttered at her. Way to go Emma. Hey! In my defense she knows those puppy dog eyes are my weakness. Man I need learn how to resist those eyes.

“Yes! I’m gonna make you look amazing!” She said tackling me with a hug that makes us fall back onto her bed with an ‘ompf’. Despite Amy being a slim girl, when she falls on you it still hurts.

“Amy get off of me, your heavy!” I said glowering at her. She chuckled and moved off of me.

“Let’s get started” she said grinning.

Oh this is gonna be fun.

~~~
“You look hot!” Amy exclaimed as I rolled my eyes at her. I glance into the mirror and I was shocked, the girl staring back at me didn’t look like me. My dark brown hair fell to my mid back in perfect curls, my make up wasn’t caked on like other girls instead it was light and look natural. Amy did a smoky eye effect with my green eyes making them much brighter. My outfit, even though I didn’t want to wear dress looked great. Amy made me wear a strapless black dress that fell mid thigh and hugged my curves, she paired it with a light colored jean jacket and a gray scarf.
“I did good didn’t I?” she said smirking at me, she was wearing tight black jeans with purple ruffled tank top and a black cardigan.
I glared at her. “Why couldn’t I wear what you’re wearing?”
“Because I knew this was the only way I could get you in a dress, you never wear dresses and I do. So we switched.” She said smiling in satisfaction. “Now you have to wear theses.” She pulled out a pair of high heels. This is where I draw the line! I am not wearing heels. No. Freaking. Way.
“Not a chance in hell.” I grabbed my converses and pulled them on. “At least let me add a touch of me in it.”
She glowered at me but shrugged it off pulling on the heels she picked out for me onto her feet. “Ready to go?” she questioned.
“Ready then I’ll ever be.” I answered. Grabbing my phone I followed Amy downstairs.
“Whoa you look hot and great touch with those converses.” I heard a deep voice commented as Amy and I were making our way towards the front door, I turned around to see Amy’s older brother, Nick checking me out. Now Nick is hot, not as hot as Aiden, but still hot. He has dark blonde hair and blue eyes. Nick is muscular but lean at the same time and at least 6’2. Over all he’s one piece of hot guy. Nick is three years older than Amy and I, so that makes him in his second year of college, I’ve known him as long as I’ve known Amy and that’s saying something. If you know Nick as long as I have, you tend to learn something about him and what I’ve learn is that Nick Johnson is huge flirt. So when he flirts with me and I turn his little game around and flirt with him, just like now.
“Why thank you. You don’t look so bad yourself, Nicky.” I said smirking sending a wink in his direction causing a blush to rise on his neck. He looks a bit flustered but brushes it off and places a smirk on his face and steps closer to me.
“Now what did I tell you about calling me that name.” He said, he was so close I could smell his cologne.
I look up at him, not even fazed by him being so close. “Oh nothing, just that you don’t like it, but I like the name, Nicky.”He glared at me and I do the same for a minute or two before we both burst out laughing.
“Oh man, I missed you Emmy.” He said pulling me into his arms for a hug which I gladly returned after we stopped laughing.
“I missed you too Nicky. I barely see you anymore.” I said pouting like a child who did get the toy they wanted. Now I bet your wondering what the hell just happened, but Nick and I are best friends. Just like Amy and me, except he’s my guy best friend. We flirt but its harmless fun. I use to have a crush on him but that faded eventually.
“I know, I have to make time for you Emmy. It’s just that college has been taking up my time, but I promise I’ll set aside a day just for me and you.” He said smiling. That causes a grin to spring to my face.
“That sounds awesome Nick, can’t wait.”
“Now if you guys are done, we have somewhere to be.” Amy said impatiently. I rolled my eyes at her.
“Oh yeah, where are you guys going all dressed up?” Nick questioned.
“To a party.” Amy answered.
“To a party? On a Tuesday night?” Nick asked suspiciously.
I nodded. “Yeah, one of the soccer players at our school is throwing it and Amy is dragging me along.” I said as I scowl replace the smile on my face.
He laughs at my expression. “Well you guys have fun.” He said turning around walking to the kitchen.
“Oh I highly doubt that” I muttered under my breath as Amy and I exit the house making our way to her car.
This is gonna be so fun. Not.
Ten minutes later Amy was pulling up in front of the house that held the party. Cars were lined up at the curb, drunken people were stumbling out the house and the stench of beer scented the yard. Amy and I walked into the house and saw people dancing, grinding to be exact, which to me is not even dancing and drinking. They look like they’re having fun. I felt a nudge at my side and look at Amy.
“Let’s go get a drink.” Amy yelled over the music. I nodded and followed her to the kitchen. “Beer or soda?” She asked and I gave her an “Are-you-kidding” look that caused her to smirk. She handed me a soda while she took one herself.
“Why not a beer?” I voice whispered into my ear. Startled I whipped around to find Derek smirking at me. I smack his arm hard.
“Don’t scare me like that!” I glared at him and he just chuckled.
“You guys just got here?” he asked Amy and me. We nodded in unison. “Come hang out with us.”
“Us?” I questioned.
“Yeah, me, Aiden and Matt.” Amy snorted when she heard Matt’s name. I turned to her. Huh I wonder what that’s all about?
“Oh, uh I don’t kn-“I was interrupted by Amy. “We love to.” She said with a smirk on her lips. Okay then.
“Great” Derek said with a smile and grabs my hand as I grabbed Amy’s hand. He led us through the crowd until a black leather jacket caught my eye. I look up to see Aiden leaning against the wall sipping on a beer while a red haired girl tries to get his attention. He looked up staring into my eyes until he looked down at my hand holding Derek’s and turned away averting his attention to the red haired girl. What’s wrong with him?  My heart cracked a bit when I saw his expression but I shook it off.
For most of the night Derek, Amy and me chatted even Matt joined in, Amy wasn’t too happy about that, I wonder why.  Matt isn’t that bad once you get to know him, he’s pretty funny actually. I even saw Amy cracked a smile at one of his jokes, but covered it up. I was actually having fun even though I was against coming. Aiden never joined into our conversation, he basically kept to himself and flirted with girls that came up to him. I tried to ignore him but I found it hard to do that. I would glance over to him every five minutes or so.
“Wanna dance?” Derek asked with a smile.
“Uh, um.” I stammered out. Derek chuckled and grabbed my hand.
“Come on, one dance.” He said pulling me towards the dance floor.
I sighed and smiled “Fine one dance.” He placed his hands on my hips as a fast beat song blasted through the speakers. I moved my hips to the rhythm of the song, all thoughts of Aiden faded as I danced with Derek.
“Who knew you can dance?” He said winking at me and I blushed.
“Eh, I had some practice. “ I smirked at him as he twirled me around. He spins me out to the crowd but I lost his grip and came in contact with a hard chest causing me to stumble backwards, a strong arm wrapped around my waist to steady me.
“Oh, sorry!” I apologize. I looked up and was met with a pair of hazel eyes. Aiden.
“You should definitely watch where you’re going sweetheart.” He said smirking at me. “This is the second time you’ve crash into me. By the way someone is look hot.” I rolled my eyes at him as my cheeks warm up but I brush off his comment.
“It speaks!” I exclaimed in fake enthusiasm. I saw a smile tugging at his lips. “And here I thought you were ignoring me.”
He put a hand to his chest in mock hurt. “Me ignore you? Never” I giggled at his words. “Now wanna tell me why you weren’t in school today?” How did he know?
“We had a project to work on, remember?” Oh yeah. Makes more sense now.
“Uh, um.” I stammered. Should I tell him I was with Derek? I mean if he notices I wasn’t there he must have notice that Derek wasn’t there. “I-I was with Derek.” A scowl made its way onto his face.
“Why?” he questioned as his hazel eyes grew darker. I can’t tell him about Ashley’s threat. Come on Em think of something.
“I, um, I wasn’t feeling well so Derek helped me out, He thought a bit of fresh air would help so he took me out.” I said hoping he would buy it. “Sorry about the project.”
He looked at me suspiciously but brushed it off and sighed. “Okay I was just a bit worried.” Worried? Aiden Black, worried about me?
“Oh, Mr. Bad Boy worried about me?” I teased him.
He scoffed “No, I was worried that my grade would drop because of you and your lack of dedication to this project.” I narrowed my eyes at him. “And I prefer Mr. Bad Ass.”
“Emma!” a voice called, I turned around to see Derek making his way through the crowd to us. “Sorry I lost you back there.”
I smiled at him “Its fine Derek.” He grinned back at me and turned to Aiden.
“Oh, Hey man.” Derek greeted Aiden.
“Hey dude.” Aiden greeted back.
“You seem in a better mood” Derek said smirking at him.
“Yeah, something like that.” Aiden responded sending a wink at me causing my cheeks to warm up.
“Hey guys.” Matt came up. “Why did you leave me with Satan’s spawn?” He said pointing to Amy who was glaring at him. His statement causes us to chuckle.
“Hey! Why don’t you just shove it dickhead?” And the bickering continued as the rest of us talked and laughed and danced for the rest of the night. Aiden is actually a pretty good dancer along with Derek and Matt. Huh, who know the bad boys could dance? I’m actually glad I came to this party, even though Amy forced me and it’s on a Tuesday night. I mean who has a party on a Tuesday night? Despite having to go to school the next day, I was still enjoying myself. If you were to tell me a week ago I would be partying with the Aiden Black and his friends I would have laughed in your face.
“Well well look at the boys having fun.” A deep voice bellowed, it cause all of us to freeze and turn towards the voice. The guy standing before us has short black hair that is spiked up and icy blue eyes that pierce into your soul, his face was angular and his jaw clench. He was lean and tall and if he wasn’t giving off the scary vibe I would find him hot.
Aiden, Derek and Matt stepped forward pushing Amy and me behind them for protection. Protection? From what?  My thoughts exactly.
Aiden stepped forward closer to this guy crossing his arms over his chest causing him to give off a menacing vibe. Now I can see why people are scared of him. “Why the hell are you here?” Aiden growled out with anger and hatred laced in his voice. By this time the music stop and people’s attention was directed to the scene before them.
“A guy can’t go to a party without being questioned? I’m just here to have fun.” The mystery guy said with a mocking smirk on his face.
“Get the hell out of here, Mark.” Aiden spat out. Why so much hatred?
“Oh, but that’s no fun.” Mark faked pouted, but it soon turned into a smirk. “You know she doesn’t even miss you. Not one bit. Not when she has me.” Who is he talking about?
This causes Aiden to snap. “You fucking asshole.”  He was about to lunged at him but Derek and Matt grabbed his arms to hold him back. Derek was whispering something to Aiden will Matt dealt with Mark.
“Get the hell out of here if you want to leave in one piece.” Matt spat out, I could see it took him a lot to keep calm.
Mark held his hands up in surrender with a smirk plastered onto his face. “Fine I’m leaving.” With that he turned around a walked out the house. The music started back up and people went back to whatever they were doing before. Aiden turned around and came face to face with me. His face softens for second, but went to a blank state.
“Uh, sorry Emma, but I need to go.” With that he leaves me, walking straight out the door not looking back. My mind was racing with thoughts as I watch him leave.
Who was that guy?
Why were the guys so protective?
Why did Aiden snap?
And who the hell was the girl that Mark guy was talking about?
