Chapter Forty: The Ending

CLASSY MOTHERF*****S.

* A WEEK LATER *

I was forced to do but nothing and stay in the house which is against my will. I don't know what happened to Luke or any news about him and until now I did nothing but cry about it. I haven't seen Calum since I left that day. I can't believe I'm a coward. I can't believe everything has led into this.

I didn't bother to do anything to make the situation worse for the past few days. Mother kept her word and signed paper works that'll release Luke from her press charges. That calmed me down a bit but everything else is peachy.

Today's the day I've been dreading to happen.

My wedding day.

Mother insisted that we should continue with the wedding as soon as possible so I wouldn't have any more ideas to stop it.

She hasn't brought up anything about the abortion yet. Which made me feel relief. I don't know what she's scheming but I know that it'll not end the way I want it to. As much as I could I took care of myself for the baby. I ate properly and even asked Nana to buy me multivitamins. Anything to help me right now because I obviously need it.

I sat quietly in my room. Everyone inside it, frantic to get me dolled up for this special day.

I sighed as I stare at myself in the mirror. My reflection all caked up. I can't even recognize myself.

My hair being pulled into curls once in a while and flowers being stuck unto it to perk it up.

"Smile, honey. Its your wedding day! You must be thrilled!" The hairdresser my mother hired judged my shoulder. Her pearly whites showing, eyes glimmering.

"You have no idea" I sighed sarcastically but she didn't notice it as she continue with her work.

After a minute or two, I was asked to change my clothes to the my wedding gown.

I did so and it fit perfect like a glove.

Everyone inside the room who's helping with my preparation looked at me in awe, a few gasps was heard but I don't even know this people to thank them for their reaction and appreciation of how I looked like to begin with so I just stood there.

"Here-" a brunette handed me my bouquet. A bunch of baby's breath perfectly round out together in a perfect sphere like shape and stems pulled together in a light lilac kind of ribbon.

I guess the theme of this wedding is lilac and garden like since the reception is going to happen at the Hood's backyard.

"It's time to go" a tall model like woman with jet black hair and bangs exclaimed as she looks at the clock. "Ready?" She nods my direction.

As if I have a choice?

I nodded.

Soon enough the girls behind me are trying to help me climb up the car, being careful enough to not get the tail of my dress which is exaggerately long caught by the car door.

The ride towards the church was silent. I shed a few tears but wiped them away gently before anyone could see.

Once we arrived the church I was led towards the back. There was some kind of waiting room in it. I wasn't shocked to see my mother sitting on one of the couches, wearing an ankle length lilac dress. Face caked up as well and a white shawl on both of her shoulder, hands pressed towards her ear. Ignoring me upon my arrival.

Outside the church, I noticed people who are already waiting as they make their way in the church. Cars were parked down the road and everyone seems to be joyous. I don't even know these people. Why would they even know or even attend my wedding? Oh yeah that's right! Its because I have a selfish, arrogant mother who wants to be drowned in riches and attention of people she doesn't even know. They want everyone to be jealous of her for looking all perfect.

"Oh, Miss. You look really beautiful." Nana gushed over me as she wiped her tears away.

I gave her a small smile.

My mother was still giving me the silent treatment which is good. I don't know what I'll do if she wouldn't stop talking to me about her bullshit that I don't give a fuck about.

I sat silently on the chair they assigned me to sit on before leaving me alone for a moment as they take care of the few errands before the ceremony is going to start in about 30 minutes.

20 minutes of me just sitting silently by myself the doorknob rattled.

Revealing me the same girl with the jet black hair from awhile ago to tell me that I only have 8 minutes before showtime.

I nodded and just sighed and she left me alone again once more.

I tapped my heels against the tiled floor relentlessly.

My heart wanted to jump out of my chest but I want it to stop beating instead.

I wanted to cry but it feels like I'm all dried up.

The room was silent. Nothing else I could hear but my own breathing.

I sighed once the door fluttered open again. Waiting for the woman to tell me that everything's ready and its time to go.

I was taken a back when I suddenly felt a grip on my wrist.

"Calum? What a-are you d-doing here?" I exclaimed in shock.

"There's no time to explain come on!" He yanked my arm and led me outside the door. He was running and I was being dragged with him.

"Calum! Oh my god! Where are we g-going?!" I exclaimed in a hush tone as we ran our way outside.

"Thank me later!" He laughed.

He was wearing his tuxedo and his hair was gelled. I wanted to laugh at the sight but I couldn't. He looked good, I must admit.

He led me to his black range rover and I am utterly confused.

"Calum what are you d-doing? What about the w-wedding?"

"There's gonna be no wedding if there's no bride and groom, right? You said that once before!" He laughed,

Once he opened the backseat door my eyes widened.

"Hello, beautiful." A familiar voice exclaimed in the backseat.

He was there. He looked better than before but he still looked weak from the accident. He was wearing a suit but his left leg has a brace. I noticed that he was holding a crutch in one of his hands. Bruises still on his face and a still busted lip but I didnt care, I couldnt careless. I couldn't believe my eyes. He's here.

I felt my eyes starting to water again once Calum helped me up to climb his car.

Damn, range rover! Why does it have to be high!?

I clutched my hands on my mouth, covering my trembling lips.

"Luke-" I cried and wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him tighter.

Calum rode the driver seat and pulled out the lot as fast as he could.

The car was silent for a little while before I finally spoke up.

"Luke, I'm sorry. I didn't mean for any of this to happen. You don't know how much I hate myself for what happened to you..to us. This is all my faul-"

"Baby, look at me. None of this is your fault don't blame it to yourself please. Stop blaming yourself." He cuts me off and tilts my chin to look at his blue eyes that I came to miss. "You have nothing to worry about. Okay? Let's forget everything that has happened. What matters is that were okay. Don't cry anymore please?"

I nodded.

"I love you." I whispered under my breath.

"And I love you." He cuddled me into his arms and I nozzled myself on his chest. He pressed a light kiss on my forehead.

I felt the car halt into a stop.

"Where are we?" I pulled away from our tight embrace before looking at Calum's expression.

"Airport" Calum exclaimed before looking towards as as he parks his car on the lot.

"What do you mean? What are you guys planning?" I asked.

"You have two tickets to Ireland which is going to leave in about.." He looks at his wrist watch "15 minutes." He chuckles.

"Oh my god!" I gasped.

"Your bags are on the trunk." He added.

He helped us step out of the car. I managed to help Luke as he place one of his arms around my shoulder for support.

Calum helped dragged a trolley that has a duffel on top of it behind his as we walk towards the automatic doors of the airport entrance.

"So I guess..this is it-" Calum laughed.

I stepped a little away from Luke and managed to crush Calum towards a hug.

"Calum, you have no idea how much thankful I am. Thank you so much for all of this. I owe you a lot. I don't know how you did it but I'm seriously thankful. I'm sorry about our wedding." I whispered into his chest.

"Nah, don't worry about it. I'm your friend! Don't cry about it now that its over." He chuckles trying to keep his cool.

"Thank you so much, Mr. Hood." I heard Luke exclaimed from behind me.

I felt Calum nod at Luke's direction.

I pulled away. Wiping a few tears rolling down my cheek.

"Go on now, before your flight leaves you." He nudged and I nodded.

I grabbed the trolley bag from him and I pecked him a kiss on the cheek.

"Don't forget about me!" He teased.

"Never!" I smiled before disappearing.
