"It's been a week since Rudra was admitted to the hospital, and now today he is going back home. In the morning, Aarohi entered the hospital and saw Rudra's father at the reception, completing the formalities for Rudra's discharge. She was running late, so she headed straight to her classes. However, in the afternoon, after her classes, she approached the nurse and asked, 'Has Rudra... Mr. Sinha, left?' But the nurse replied, 'No, he will be discharged in the evening, and you need to check on him before he leaves.' Aarohi replied, 'Okay, so he's finally leaving. They're all going.' Just then, Jiya arrived and asked, 'Who's leaving?' Aarohi replied, 'Rudra is being discharged today.' Jiya expressed, 'Oh, that's sad.' Aarohi questioned, 'What's sad about it? I'm happy he's leaving.' Jiya explained, 'But most people don't feel that way.' Aarohi glanced at the nurse, who also admitted that she would miss Rudra as a patient. Aarohi shrugged it off, saying, you guys .....'
In the evening, when Aarohi went to Rudra's room for the final check-up, she instructed the nurse to bring all the reports from the tests. As the nurse went to retrieve the reports, Aarohi entered Rudra's room and found Myra sitting there, engaged in conversation.
Myra's expression changed as Aarohi entered, indicating her displeasure. Aarohi politely asked Myra to leave for a few minutes for the check-up, but Myra refused. Aarohi insisted, reminding her of the hospital's rules. Rudra intervened and asked Myra to leave. Once Myra left, Aarohi checked Rudra's blood pressure and heart rate. She noticed that she couldn't hear Rudra's heartbeat properly, so she moved closer and placed the stethoscope on his chest.
She commented, 'Your heart is beating so fast.' Rudra replied, 'It always .....' He seemed about to say something else but stopped abruptly, and Aarohi backed off, both remembering how Rudra's heart raced whenever she was near him."
"After a pause, Aarohi asked Rudra if he had taken all his medicine. Rudra simply nodded, and then the nurse arrived, handing the reports to Aarohi. After reviewing the reports, Aarohi remarked, 'Everything looks fine, but you'll need to come in for weekly check-ups.' Rudra replied, I can't come here. I have matches.' Aarohi insisted, 'Mr. Sinha, you can't play any matches. You need to rest for at least a month, and refrain from any athletic activities.' Rudra countered, 'Are you saying I can't play cricket? I have a match.' Aarohi responded firmly, 'I'm not going to sign the consent form for you. As a doctor, I have to prioritize your health.'
Rudra retorted, 'Then I would like to change my doctor.' Aarohi agreed, 'Okay, please speak with the authority. I'll gladly transfer your care.' Rudra expressed his desire to play, but Aarohi remained firm, 'No, you can't. Come here for weekly check-ups, at least for a month. I'm prescribing medication. Don't forget to take it.' Rudra questioned, 'Why weekly check-ups? Do you want to see me weekly?' Aarohi joked, 'In your dreams.' The nurse intervened, 'Mr. Sinha, your leg hasn't fully healed. You need to be more careful.' Rudra acknowledged, 'Okay.'
As they conversed, Rudra's parents arrived. His mother inquired, 'Are you ready to go, Rudra?' Rudra replied, 'Yes, absolutely. I just want to leave this place as soon as possible.' Rudra's father announced, 'All formalities are done. We can leave now.' They gathered Rudra's belongings, and Divya also arrived, casting a glance towards Aarohi. Rudra's father left, while his mother and Divya supported Rudra as they walked out. The nurse wondered aloud, 'Why is he leaving?' Aarohi quipped, 'Thank God he's leaving.'"
__________
About a week later, Rudra came for his weekly check-up. When he inquired about Dr. Aarohi at the reception, she was told to wait in room number 7 as she would arrive shortly. Rudra went to the room and waited. Myra was also there but stepped out to take a call. After some time, the nurse informed Aarohi that Mr. Sinha had arrived.
As Aarohi stood outside the room, she overheard Rudra talking on the phone. He reassured the person on the other end that he was fine and had come to the hospital for his check-up. He ended the call by saying, "Yeah, I miss you too. I love you too."
Hearing this, Aarohi felt upset once again, questioning why she felt this way since Rudra meant nothing to her. Yet, every time she heard something like this about Rudra, it affected her.
She entered the room, and Rudra ended the call. Aarohi asked how he was, and Rudra insisted he was fine and didn't need the weekly check-up, wanting to find his concert so he could play. Aarohi began examining Rudra, and the nurse arrived with some medicine. Aarohi adjusted Rudra's prescription and checked his fractured hand, confirming it was healing well. Rudra remarked that he had told her so. After the check-up, Rudra declared that he was fine and didn't need to return. Aarohi explained that he needed to come for at least a month, and asked him not to keep questioning her.
The nurse jokingly suggested daily check-ups, to which Rudra sarcastically responded.
Aarohi told Rudra he could leave, but he wanted to talk to Reena for a while. Aarohi agreed, and as she was leaving, when she was about to close the door from outside she herad that nurse was asking about rudra's girlfriend. She wondered if he mentioned his gf with nurse before.
Without waiting for his answer, she left for the canteen, where she looked up Rudra Sinha on her phone. She hadn't heard of him in the last five years, as she wasn't interested in cricket. She found his profile and learned that Rudra had started playing cricket four years ago and had quickly risen to prominence. She further read that rudra's name had been with many girls. She also discovered he had a girlfriend named Manvi, an anchor. Reflecting on Rudra's history, Aarohi concluded that he was always involved with multiple girls. And then she thought this manvi must be the one he was talking in the room.
As she was reading, jiya caught her and teased her about checking up on her ex. Aarohi quickly explained, and jiya asked " did u find something new".
Aarohi remarked that Rudra was still the same, always with different girls. But she said" what he did for when one after she left, jiya suggested he may have been flirting.
Jia noticed the sadness on Aarohi's face and inquired about what happened. Aarohi replied, "I don't know, Jia. I mean, I know we're not together anymore, but I feel sad. I'm feeling sad that he has a girlfriend right now. I don't know." Jiya reassured her, saying, "Don't worry, it happens. It happens because you still have some feelings for him." Aarohi denied this, stating, "No, the only feeling I have is hate." Jiya responded, "As you say"
The next day, Aarohi and some of her fellow students were summoned by a senior, who informed them about a camp. Only a select few students would be chosen to participate as part of the medical team for the camp.
Aarohi expressed enthusiasm, saying, "Oh, that's great. It's a fantastic opportunity for us." The senior doctor agreed, adding that the camp would take place in one or two months, and selection would be based on their performance throughout the year.
Jiya said I'm sure you are going but me not a chance.
Aarohi reassured her "Don't worry. What if we both get selected?" As they discussed, a senior boy named Ravi approached them. He was a senior of Aarohi.
Ravi, who has feelings for aarohi ,
said , "I'm 100% sure you're going, Aarohi."
Aarohi responded cautiously, "Uh, we can't say for sure right now. Let's see."
Jiya added optimistically, "I hope all three of us can go. It will be fun and a new experience." Ravi agreed, saying, "Yeah, it will be, but we don't know what the camp is about."
Jiya dismissed his concern, saying, "Why should we care? We're just part of the medical team." Aarohi nodded in agreement, "Yeah."
_______________
Today was Rudra's final check-up, and he was relieved that he wouldn't have to come back again. When he entered the room, he waited for Aarohi for almost half an hour, but she didn't show up.
He asked the receptionist about her whereabouts, but even she didn't know.
Rudra searched for her in the corridor and spotted her sitting with a boy at the canteen, chatting. He assumed they were close and felt annoyed that she was passing time with her friends instead of attending to him.
He approached them and said, "Dr. Aarohi, aren't you aware of your patients? You're supposed to check on them." Aarohi apologized, explaining that she had forgotten, and the boy, Ravi, greeted Rudra. Aarohi suggested they go for the check-up, and as they left, Ravi mentioned meeting aarohi later in the evening. Aarohi confirmed their plans and then accompanied Rudra to the room.
After examining him, she declared he was fine and could start playing again but advised him not to overexert his muscles. Rudra agreed, and after the check-up, Aarohi informed him that it was their last appointment, and they wouldn't need to come back.
Rudra hesitated before asking, "Is he your boyfriend?" Aarohi was taken aback and asked him to clarify. Rudra backtracked, saying he thought they seemed close. Aarohi retorted that if he could have a girlfriend, she could have a boyfriend.
Rudra shrugged, telling her she could do whatever she wanted but cautioned her not to play with anyone's feelings. Aarohi questioned his meaning, but Rudra deflected, and Aarohi instructed him to leave, saying he didn't need to come for a check-up again. Rudra thanked her and left.
"At the evening, Rudra was just thinking about Aarohi and that boy, and he was lying on his sofa. The television was on, but he was not paying attention to it, and he was just lost in his thoughts.
He was thinking, is she dating him? But he is not that handsome, like me. Does she love him? And are they going on a date tonight?
And then he said, why am I thinking about him?
When he was just lost in his thoughts, his phone rang, and it was a call from Myra, and Myra told her that she is in Delhi for some days, and she asked him to come for a party, as she is having some friends, and she also told him that he can invite some of his friends. And Rudra doesn't want to go, but he thought, if he stays at home, he will keep thinking about Aarohi and that boy, so he just said yes and got ready and left for the party."
_____________
Aarohi was waiting for Ravi in front of her hostel, and Ravi came with a car, and Aarohi got in the car, and they went left. They both were going for a friend's birthday party, a common friend of both of them.
the birthday party was in the same club in which Rudra was there with Myra. And Rudra was just talking to his friends and Myra's friends when she saw that Aarohi entered the club with that boy. And she was so pissed, he just want to ignore them. So, he turned his back from them.
Ravi and Aarohi went to their friend, they wished her birthday. And Aarohi and Ravi also handed the gift they brought for her birthday, for their friend's birthday. And Ravi asked Aarohi, would you like to have a drink? And Aarohi said, yeah, anything soft.
Ravi went to have some drink and at the same time Rudra was also standing at the counter. And Ravi said, oh, Rudra, hi, hello, how are you? And Rudra said, just same as I was in the morning. And Ravi laughed, oh, yeah, so you are here with your friends, Ravi said,
Rudra replied, yeah, and you?
me and Dr. Aarohi, we both came for our friend's birthday. And Rudra said, oh, good.
Ravi ordered two sprites. And at that moment Rudra asked, are you taking this for Aarohi and you? And Ravi said, yeah. And Rudra said, she don't like apple juice, you should try something else. And Ravi was confused that how he know what Aarohi liked.
But then Ravi asked him, then what should I go for? And Rudra said, maybe for sprite? And he said, okay.
Ravi took the drink for Aarohi and Aarohi said, oh, that's my favorite. And Ravi smiled and said, yeah, so he was right.
Aarohi said, who was right?
Ravi said, Rudra, he is here with his friends. So I just met him and he told me that you don't like apple juice. And he suggested me to bring Sprite instead of it.
Aarohi was just confused and she asked, he is here?
Ravi pointed towards the direction and he said, there, he is standing over there.
Aarohi when turned towards the direction, he noticed that Myra was there. And two and three more people were there. And then she remembered the girl, Manvi, who was the anchor. She saw that previous day on the image, .
she said, he is with his girlfriend too.
Ravi said, mmmm , do you want to dance? Aarohi said, sorry, but I don't know how to, you know. And Ravi said, oh, okay, no worries."
"After a moment of time, Aarohi just saw that Rudra was dancing with Manvi on the floor, and then she was so upset by looking at them, she went to the counter and she just said, just give me a drink, and the bartender just gave him the shot, and she was just taking one, and again, and again, and again, and after like some five shots, she went to Ravi and asked him for a dance
Ravi said, didn't you just say you don't know how to, and Aarohi said, now I know how to, and Aarohi just took the Ravi on the floor, and they were both dancing, and Aarohi was just being so intimate while dancing with Ravi, and Rudra was also looking towards Aarojhi, and , she drank for the first time, her body can't tolerate this much of alcohol, so she just lost her consciousness.
Then the sing played ,
""Jitni Dafa Dekhun Tumhe
Dhadke Zoron Se
Aisa Toh Kabhi Hota Nahi
Milke Gairon Se
Door Jaana Nahi
Tumko Hai Kasam
Khudse Zyada Tumhe
Chaahatein Hai Sanam
Door Jaana Nahi
Mujhse Aye Sanam
Khudse Zyada Tumhe
Chaahatein Hai Sanam
Dil mein jo bhi hai~
Tera hi toh hai~
Chaahe jo maang lo~
Roka kisne hai~
Qatl Agar karna ho
Karna dheere se
Uff bhi nahi niklegi
Mere honthon se
Door jaana nahi
Tumko hai kasam
Khudse zyada tumhe
Chahatein hain sanam""
the one whom Rudra and Aarohii danced for the first time five years ago, and as the song played, Aarohi looked towards Rudra, Rudra was already looking at Aarohi, and the memories came flooded over their mind
but Rudra was just unable to bear looking at Aarohi with that boy, so he just left the floor, the girl, Manvi also followed her, Rudra left the club, and he was just standing outside the club,
Aarohi was not feeling good inside the club, so she just took a moment, and she went outside, and after walking little bit, she saw that, girl Manvi and Rudra were kissing, and aarohi just back of the flamboyant, she was just walking on the road, and she don't know where she was going, and she was crying."
______________
After the party, rudra returned to his flat, changed, and prepared for sleep.
Meanwhile, Aarohi hadn't reached her room yet; she sat at the park. She called the hospital to obtain Rudra's number, and called him
Rudra: hello who's this??
Aarohi: "You forgot me this easily?"
Rudra: "Aarohi, is it you?"
Aarohi: "Yeah, it's me, Aarohi.
Rudra: "What happened to your voice?"
Aarohi: "Nothing, I'm just happy, you know, and sad at the same time."
Rudra: "Are you drunk?"
Aarohi: "No, I'm not."
Rudra: "Where are you? Who is near you? Are you at your home?"
Aarohi: "I'm somewhere where I just want to be alone, so I came here."
Rudra: "Where?"
Aarohi: "Here."
Rudra: "Here is where?"
Aarohi: "Here is here."
Rudra: "You're talking nonsense, Aarohi, just go to your hostel."
Aarohi: "No, I don't want to, I'm liking it here."
Rudra: where is your boyfriend?"
Aarohi: "I don't know who is my boyfriend, do you know?"
Rudra: "The boy whom you went to the party with."
Aarohi: "I left him there, and I walked away, and then I cried, and I came here."
Rudra: "Just send me your location, I'm coming."
Aarohi: "Are you coming? No, you don't need to."
Rudra: "Just send it to me." [ shouting]
Aarohi: "Don't shout at me, you always shout at me, why do you hate me?"
Rudra: "Okay, I'll not shout at you, just send me your location."
[Aarohi sends her location to Rudra]
[Rudra drives to the location, finds Aarohi crying in the park]
Aarohi: why do you came ??
Rudra: "How can I not come when you are in this condition, alone at night in this place? How did you get here?"
Aarohi: "I walked here."
Rudra: "Why are you crying? Just give me your address, I'll drop you."
Aarohi: "No, I don't need your help."
[Rudra helps Aarohi stand]
Rudra: "Just stay here, tell me your address, I'll drop you."
Aarohi: "Just go to your girlfriend, I don't need you."
Rudra: "Who?"
Aarohi: "That girl you were kissing."
Rudra: "Why do you care when you already left me?" [About to say something else]
Aarohi: "Yeah, why do I care?"
[tears fall]
Aarohi: "Because I think you said, 'If it's not me, it will be no one.' Why did you lie to me? I took it to my heart, and then every word, every memory, just stabs my heart like a knife, every day, whenever I think of it, why did you say that, IÂ took it seriously."
Rudra: "So you're saying it's all my fault, huh?"
Aarohi: "Yes, it is."
Rudra: "And why did you leave me, without even saying a word, what was my mistake?"
[no response]
Rudra: "You left without a word, and do you know how much I tried to call you, how much I tried to reach you, how much I needed you? But you left without saying a word. Tell me, Aarohi, tell me, why did you leave me?"
Rudra: just tell me [shouting]
Aarohi: "Because I saw you sleeping with that girl."
