" so I wanted to wear the black but white looks more appealing on my skin-"

"Athenaaa hurry up, I'm starving" Apollo flopped backward on the bed with a dramatic sign, hands behind his head as he laid on the bed filled with clothes.

I looked at him, rolling my eyes I turned back to the mirror, fixing the shoulder strap on my dress

"I'm done, I'm done, don't be a baby"

"Finally let's go!!" he said, his eyes went wide with a sparkle, and he pounded his fists in the air.

Guess he really is hungry, fucking fatass

He dragged me out the door of our room, yes it's still OUR room. The brother refused to sleep in rooms on the other side of the house, at this point the "parents" ended up installing 3 giant beds in the room so we could sleep more comfortably, in less than half a day may I add.

Rich people, am I right?

Apollo's grip on my hand slipped because of the fast and long strides he was taking to go to the kitchen, causing me to bump into a hard surface. Looking up I notice it's Enzo, he holds my shoulders and moves me away, with one cold look. He scoffs and turns away heading to the dining room.

What up his ass

I had to jog to catch up with Apollo because this house is fucking massive, I hate it already for making me run, I hate running.

"Why do you zone out so much" Apollo clicks his finger in front of my face with a concerned look and I shove them away.

"I hate it here already"

"I know thea but we're only here for a few more months till we're 18 or we can kill everyone and run your choice" he hums with a finger on his chin like he has a brain and can think.

Before I can respond something bumps into us from behind, nearly knocking us down.

It's Ares, I can smell the tacos from his breath-

"Guys I've been looking everywhere for you, why are you standing in the middle of a hallway like loners?" He has both his arms around us and pushes us toward the hallway leading to the dining room.

"Sup bro, listen I had this really good idea.." Apollo puts his hand on his shoulder and proceeds to tell Ares about his plan to kill everyone, which may I add he looks way too excited about. He continues to tell Ares about his plan till we reach the giant doors of the dining room, we can already hear chatter but it seems to get quieter the closer we get to the door.

I quirk my eyebrow at my brother and step in front to push open the door, the mouthwatering smell of a combination of breakfast foods assaults my nose, making me hungrier than I was this morning. I think I can smell pancakes, I would literally kill for pancakes.

I'm deadass, I have a Glock in my pocket right now.

I feel like an animal in a petting zoo right now because of the way the "family" is staring at us. It's a very awkward situation...They're all sitting in their designated seat, leaving 3 seats left at the end of the table, near mother and father

Oh joy

"Come and take a seat, I hope you're having breakfast with us today! I even got a variety of lactose-free dishes!" Mother dearest gets up from her seat, all giddy and she pulls our chairs out for us but we make no indication of walking to the seats. I make eye contact with Armani which brings me back to the talk we had yesterday, he nods at us with a smile and I nearly catch myself doing it back before I shrug the feeling off mentally slapping myself and giving him a cold look.

Ew I'm becoming soft, gross feelings

Apollo walked to the table, reaching out to Enzo's plate, grabbing 5 pancakes in his hand, and using his other hand to grab the jug of an orange jug. Me and Ares look at each other, trying not to laugh while we each look around to see what we want to eat.

In about 30 seconds we have pancakes, orange juice, a plate of eggs and bacon, and a stack of toast in our hands. Our family looks at us like we're the demons from the bible who have possessed us, and for some reason Leo keeps alternating his looks from Apollo and his empty plate, looking at Apollo with a confused mixture of a concerned and shocked face.

"Yeah sweet, bye-

"Wait that's not lactose intolerant-" Mother interrupts us

"Oh right...well, Thea has a fluctuating, diverse type of lactose intolerance, changes day by day if you get my gist" he winks at her and continues to walk out mumbling "dumb bitches" which I'm pretty sure he wanted everyone to hear.

Me and Ares bust our laughing as we leave the room, talking about our day's plans

"I'm thinking road trip-"

"Wherever you go be back before 6, I need to talk to you guys" We stop as we hear a booming voice behind us, with a collective groan we all turn around, Ares crooks his eyebrows at Romeo

"We will be back when we feel like it." he looked at Romeo directly in the eyes, making Romeo take in a deep breath

"I said by 6" Romeo tilts his head, saying that with a demanding voice. Does he think we'll be like little puppies for him and listen to his every command?

This is hilarious, I'm dreaming now, right?

"I bet my second plan sounds like paradise now right Thea?" I look at him and him and mock yawn, and he gets the message.

"I think you didn't hear my brother correctly Romeo, we'll be back, when we're back." Apollo puts his arm around Ares while he says that, laughing like Romeo was saying something funny but gets more serious at the end.

Romeo's demanding eyes seem to narrow at us. He takes a breath in and out.

Pass me the popcorn, I just know this is going to be interesting

"Look I know we didn't start very well but I'm trying to make this better, we're here for you now. You don't have to be fighting those internal battles alone-"

"What the actual fuck is he on about?" I interrupt Romeo's depressing rant, which is meant to be supportive

I think?

But it is nowhere close

Apollo starts laughing like a hyena, me and Ares join in.

"That's got to be the funniest shit I've heard this week-" Ares is at a point in his laughing where he has to hold the wall to stay up

"Look he all red now-" I huff out, taking a short break from laughing just to point at Romeo's face changing colors

"You guys have changed huh, full on heartless now" Romeo looks at us, with some emotion I can't grab onto.

"And that's on you Romeo" I manage to put a smirk on, while Ares and Apollo stop laughing.

"Yeah Romeo, we just thank you actually" Apollo put his hand on romeos shoulder

"Thanks for showing us the real world" Ares continues for us.

We finish each other's sentences bitches

"I'm gonna have to sanitize this shit for hours now" Apollo takes his hand off and looks at it in disgust as we walk out of the mansion leaving Romeo speechless
