“Don’t be too delusional.”

Seria held Ivan’s hand as if imitating Cassian.

However, Ivan only sighed and did not respond.

Since her brother wouldn’t join in on teasing her, Seria had no choice but to play two roles by herself.

“Senior, stop it. Ugly. Haha!”

“Seria, please read my mind.”

“Why? What happened today was the highlight of the entire wedding.”

Daisy’s wedding should have been blessed, but it was ruined.

What would it mean if the groom had left the bride and ran towards another woman during the wedding?

This ‘other woman’ had made the groom abandon the bride and choose to marry another man.

It was none other than the son of  Duke Lecardo.

In addition to that, it was revealed to the entire guests that the shameless groom had been driven to stalk Yernia during his academy days.

“I told you I wouldn’t put you in trouble. I’m good at keeping promises.” Cassian whispered in Yena’s ear after her blue-faced senior disappeared.

There was no dirt on the Yernia Cilliard’s name.

Now, her only problem was to deal with the public announcement.

She was going to marry Cassian.

The sight she saw earlier appeared in front of Yernia.

The hallucinations she had with Daisy and Cassian overlapped.

It consisted of Yernia’s senior shaking Daisy’s hand before running to Yernia.

It was almost similar to Yernia’s future.

Daisy would be Yernia, and Cassian would take the senior’s place.

Herena should be in Yernia’s place.

Cassian and Herena should have been paired.

Not her.

“No!”

She had been thinking about not marrying Cassian, but things had never felt so natural.

“Brother, brother, please save me.”

Yernia grabbed Ivan’s hand, who sat across her as if she was drowning and he was her only lifeline.

She always had this strange belief that a good brother would find a way to help somehow.

“Yernia?”

“I don’t want to marry Cassian. I won’t. Never.”

“The events earlier were just inevitable. I assumed the rumor was better than a scandal. At least rumor can be cleared out.”

She knew it wouldn’t be cleared just by saying it.

Still, she chose it because it was a much better option than the scandal, but she didn’t mean to agree to this marriage.

If rumors spread that she broke her engagement with Cassian, Yernia’s chances of future marriage might be hindered for a while.

However, after some time, it will gradually subside.

Twenty.

Fate usually appeared until the age of 21.

There was no record of their fate appearing after that.

Yernia had the role of supporting the villain.

She also died in the middle of the original novel, but she was determined to avoid such a fate.

An Esper could run out of control unless he had a guide.

Although inhibitors could curb an Esper, they weren’t enough to prevent the surge.

The Espers were the Empire’s biggest weapon, so they were highly regarded.

The royal family would force the guide to marrying another Esper if their fated one didn’t appear.

Twenty-one years old.

If she couldn’t marry her beloved Esper, she would have to force herself to match one that the royal family had designated for her.

One year.

The deadline was too short for her to find love and get married.

However, she couldn’t find anyone who could be suitable for her.

She couldn’t waste such precious time with Cassian since he would eventually go to Herena.

Yernia’s eternal happiness was on the line here.

“You said there was a method where I couldn’t get married. Tell me.”

“Yernia, do you hate it to be married that much?”

“Yes.”

Seria interrupted them again when Ivan started talking, but he just couldn’t bring himself to do it.

Ivan gave Yernia a severe look which was pretty rare.

“Don’t say it if it’s illegal, Ivan. You know.”

“But what else can I do if you say you hate it this much?”

Ivan couldn’t pretend to see Yernia’s tears.

*CRYING*

“Brother–”

Yernia, who knew Ivan’s temper well, lowered her head and tried to squeeze tears out of her eyes.

However, it was strange that her tears didn’t come, so she showed him that she was crying by lifting her shoulders up and down.

“Seria, I would have told you if you were in the same situation as Yernia. You are both so precious to me.”

Seria asked him to think about it more, but she eventually persuaded Ivan.

And finally–

“You can erase your fate.”

She finally heard the method.

“Erase my destiny?”

Yernia asked because she didn’t understand.

“People say that fate can’t be changed. But now you are telling me that I erase it?”

She asked Seria if she could change her fate the other day, and she only laughed.

A person’s fate is already marked by the stars in the sky when they were born.

It doesn’t change.

“Of course, it’s a taboo thing to do. It doesn’t make sense to go against God’s will. He is the one who had given us our fates.”

Well, that knowledge certainly didn’t appear in the original novel.

“Then where do you erase it?”

“That’s—”

Ivan had brought it up carefully, but now he had shifted in his seat from the discomfort.

*MORE CRYING*

Yernia sobbed even harder just in case her brother and sister would change their mind.

Yernia’s crying intensified, and Ivan was at a loss.

She had weakened his resolve.

She was genuinely sorry.

“Don’t cry like that, Yernia. Look at him.”

Yena shook her head and continued to sob.

Ivan patted her back, but her tears still streamed down her face.

“You can erase it from the temple.”
