âHa! Cassian.â
She was out of breath.
Cassian pushed his lips against hers without giving her a moment and it drove her out of her mind.
He squeezed her shoulder and twisted her head.
However, she couldnât stand being forced to follow his lead when it came to kissing.
âI! I! Iâââ
She wanted to tell him to give her time to breathe but Cassian seemed determined not to let her speak.
Holding Yerniaâs chin, he slipped his tongue between her parted lips.
She had no idea how many minutes it had been.
She couldnât tell how long it had been since she started guiding him.
Cassian was pushing it too hard that she didnât even have the time to check.
No matter how long it had been, Yernia felt that her guiding would last more than an hour.
Cassian approached her roughly even if she already told him to slow down multiple times but he kept acting like he didnât hear her pleas.
Yernia calmed down for a while when Cassian started to move slowly but then he became fierce once again.
Just when she assumed his kisses became softer, Cassian suddenly held the back of Yerniaâs head firmly and changed the angles of their faces.
She had no idea why Cassian was doing this.
How did they end up kissing instead of guiding?
She didnât intend to kiss Cassian during her first attempt at guiding him but he insisted that they do it when he asked.
According to him, it was the most natural method of guidance.
Yernia accepted his torrid kisses, thinking it wasnât that bad.
She didnât know this would happen every single tie.
âI⦠I canât⦠breatheâ-â
âPart your lips for me, Yernia.â
âStop! Stop!â
âItâs still not enough. I need more.â
âIâm going to die at this rateâââ
Yernia shook her head, breathing hard.
He examined her flushed cheeks for a moment when she said she couldnât breathe.
From his countenance, she guessed the color didnât look good.
Cassian remained still with his lips off her as if he already decided to let her slide.
Yernia kept exhaling heavy breaths while Cassianâs breathing was similarly rough, their chests moving up and down.
âAre you mad?â
âWhy do you think so?â
She wouldnât ask if he was angry if she actually knew it.
âI donât know. I just think youâre angry at me for some reason. You wonât even let me breathe.â
âI donât think so.â
âYour voice changed subtly, as well.â
Cassian went silent for a while as he gave Yernia a cool stare.
âWhat did you two talk about?â He asked.
âWhat? With whom?â
âWith Jennan. Yesterday.â
Why would he ask that from out of the blue?
She didnât expect Jennanâs name mentioned in this situation.
Yernia thought for a moment.
Yesterday, Cassian gave Yernia a hard time by using âguidingâ as an excuse.
He did the same thing today, as well.
Today, he also asked her about her conversation with Jennan yesterday.
Did he want to know that badly?
âIf you were curious about that, you should ask him. Why are you bothering me?â
âSo what did you say?â
Jennan just said some strange things.
Thatâs all.
When Cassian, who seemed to be in a bad mood, came closer, Jennan said something to Yernia and then he left her, afterwards.
She already knew Cassian hated Jennan so much and she didnât want to argue with him because of that.
She decided to avoid the subject altogether but Cassian became more ruthless in finding out the truth.
âI didnât tell him anything much. I told him I would support him when he asked me to do it for him.â
She said something else, but this discussion might become even more complicated if she brought it up now.
Then, Yernia recalled what Jennan told her.
âIf youâre confused, do what your head tells you to do. Donât follow your heart.â
Cassian seemed jealous even if she thought it wasnât possible.
He had another person to love and his fated guide was the heroine of this novel.
The current plot had veered far from the original novel when her name began to appear on Cassianâs skin.
However, she couldnât find  Cassianâs name on her body no matter how many times she looked for it.
In addition, there was a possibility that the current plot would still flow back to the original one.
If two names appeared on his skin, it was Yernia, not Herena, who would be abandoned.
âDonât run away from me, Yernia.â
Cassian kissed her lips again when he noticed her lost in her thoughts.
Where did her fierce and stubborn spirit go?
Yernia used to argue with him even if their lips were still pressed against each other.
His lips touched hers tightly when he added, Â âI donât like it.â
Yernia felt that this shouldnât go on for too long.
She had to take action.
If she stayed with Cassian like this, she would be the only one who would get hurt.
She was just guiding him because that was her role.
Yernia clenched her fist.
