Meera's pov

We came back to our room but I was still confused about what happened there what does dhruv meant? I tried to ask akaay but he said it's nothing an all..

Leave it... It must not be important...

I went to freshen up and changed into a comfortable night suit...

I saw him seating on the bed he saw me and went to freshen up ,I was too tired to talk him so I straight went to my side of bed and I don't know when I slept..

Akaay's pov

I saw her coming outside,maybe she will again ask me something or will try to talk me? Without wasting a second I went to freshen up..

I came outside after about 10 minutes and saw her already drifted off to sleep....

God she looks too innocent while sleeping.. well she is.. what will be her reaction? When she will see those paper's? I took a sigh and went to my side...

I don't know when thinking about all the things I slept

After 6 days

Author's pov..

Akaay was trying to give her that divorce papers but his heart was denying him to not but last night he decided not to wait anymore...

The bright sunlight peeked inside the room from the window ,making meera open her eyes in irritation...

She opened her eyes and realise their position ,she was almost clinging on him ,their legs tangled,his hand on her waist her head on his chest..

They were too close.. in these days Meera first time saw this position of them, nervousness went upon her as she tried to get free from his sleep ,she safely took her legs from his and then it was time for his hand which were on his waist,she tried to put his hand back but his next move made her all numb and her heartbeat raised...

He made his grip tight on her and snuggled more into her crook of neck...

Her face became whole red due to their proximity....

She doesn't want him to see the position but she can't stay like this too ..

After 2-3 attempts finally she freed herself and took a deep sigh

She looked at him and smiled and then went to freshen up

And wore a very simple kurti matching with white plazo..

She made a loose braid and applied her vermillion,kajal In her eyes and lip bam that's all..

Meera was in kitchen making kheer for everyone as she wanted too..

While making kheer she was humming a song..

Ankhe meri..har jagah..

Dhundhe tujhe behwajah...

Ye m hu yaa koi aur hai...

Meriii tarahhh......

She was singing these lines when suddenly Akaay's thought came in her mind.. and she got all red remembering the scene she saw in the morning..she continued to sing

Kese huaa.... Kese hua...

Tu itna jaruri kese hua...

Kese.. hua kese hua..

Tu itna jaruri kese hua

M barish ki boli samjhta nhi tha..

Hawaoo se m yu ulajhta nhi tha..

Hai seene m dil bhi ...

Kaha thi mujhe ye khabar..

Kya haal hogyaa..

Ye Mera?

Ankhe mere...har jagah..

Dhundhe tujhe behwajah...

Ye me hu ya koi aur hai??

Meri tarah....

Hmmmm...

Before she can sing more she saw her mother in law standing there with chachi with srishti

She took their blessings

" Kitna acha gaati hai aap bhabhi!" Srishti exclaimed followed by her mother in law and chachi

"Thankyou " Meera said with a small smile

After a while aashi came into kitchen and said

" Maa Ghar m ek chuha ghus ayya hai!" Aashi said

" C-ch-chuha!!!!" Meera asked with a little high voice

" Hn bhabhi chuha wo bhi itna bada!" Aashi said pointing towards her hands

" I-itna bada!!" Meera said this is the one thing she is scared of... From her childhood she was too scared of rats.. cause when she was 5 a rat bite her .. after that she hates rat's

She completed her kheer and went to her room not before seeing every corner..

" Hey bhagwan aaj bacha lo bus!" She said looking at the floor

She reached her room and sighed

" Hash Bach gyi chuhe se" Meera said to herself but suddenly a voice made her scared that she suddenly jumped in shock

" Kisse baat krri ho yaha" it was none other than akaay who saw her talking to herself

She looked back and placed her hand on her chest to calm her raising heartbeat

" Dara dia aapne!" Meera said a little loud

" Oh!" Akaay said not understanding what to say..

Meera moved to go towards her almirah when she saw her biggest fear!

A rat!

Ek chuha!!

" Mummmyyyyyyyyy!!!!!" She shouted and ran back and saw akaay who became scared suddenly listening to her shout ..

" Meera kya--" before Akaay can complete she came and hugged him tight closing her eyes!

The world faded for him he became numb.not able to understand his feeling for his own wife,he was shocked to see her coming suddenly and hugging him

After he can from his lalalaa land... He asked her

" Kya hua hai Meera"

"W-wo ch-ch-chuhaa" Meera said pointing to a corner

" Chuha?" He asked and she nodded timidly he looked at her for few seconds and burst into laughter

She saw him in disbelief

"A-aap has rhe ho! Huh! I hate you" she said and got seperated from him

Controlling his laugh he said" seriously Meera?? Chuhe se dar gyi" and again started laughing

Meera realised and said" n-nhi woh to mene chuha dekha to socha aap -aapko dar lagega to isleye wrna m nhi darti chuhe se" she said being brave but from inside she was hella scared

" Acha wo dekho chuha" akaay said with a pause after 'acha'

" Chuha" she whispered and clung onto him

" Chuha!!!! Chuha!!! Chuhaaa!!! Bachao!!! Mummy!! Chuhaa!!" She shouted

She was almost in air clung to him to prevent her unbalancing and falling he held her waist

Meera was long ago forgot about the rat but her focus was on his hands which were on her waist ,her face became whole red like a Tomato

She looked up to see him looking back at her which made her blush even more..

And here on other side 5 people from outside of their room was seeing all this , enjoying everything they were none other than akaay's mom,chachi,dhruv,aashi and srishti

Yes it was all their plan ,when they got to know that she is scared of a rat they formed this plan and worked on it... And here they got their plan worked!

" Chlo chalo ab sab kuch mat dekho" Akaay's mom said and took them all from there while Akaay looked at her and blurted " what are you doing to me Meera"

" Me? W-what I did" Meera said innocently and he realised,he realised it was all wrong as per his mind.. it was wrong..

" You will get hurt in the end... Pls don't come close to me " akaay said and left her she looked at him being confused and asked

" Why will I get hurt?" Her innocent eyes attracted him... And made him think on his decision once again but at the end it wasn't changed...

He took a sigh and made her sit on nearby bed

He too took a seat and held her hand

" Meera see you are too young and i have seen your interest in study ,i-i.. I think you should focus on your studies rather than distracting yourself on this marriage' things....y-you are too innocent to understand this marriage things so-" akaay tried to say but something was stopping him it was like.. needles piercing his throat and he wasn't able to say the word 'divorce'

" So?" Meera asked being impatient

He took a sigh and said to himself that it's the time...it's the time to tell her..

" I know.. I know you must be feeling good here.. b-but Meera try to understand you can achieve everything in the world but only when you want.. I don't want you to feel guilty later for distracting yourself with this marriage..." Akaay said and took a pause then continued" and about our marriage..i-i don't want to burden you.. and i-i w-want to f-fre you from his love less marriage I don't want you to regret..

You know clearly in which circumstances we get married so it's.. it's better to e-end it..." Akaay said

" What do you clearly want to say?" Meera asked in a stern voice

Akaay stood up and went to his almirah and took out some paper's...

" Divorce me" he said...

Meera's pov..

I was happy very happy in this house everyone is too nice.. and about this man he always respect me.. b-but idk know why he is ignoring me from 6 days as if I don't exist..

Uh...

I was in kitchen when aashi told about the rat and I was hella scared of that rat ahh I hate them!!.

I reached the room and there akaay scared me by suddenly coming ... And there I saw.. I saw a rat and unknowingly got clung onto him.. and after that he teased me ofc..huh..so bad of him

I realised we were close too close that my heart stopped beating and my legs became jelly..but suddenly he asked

" What are you doing to me Meera?"

Listening to his words my face became red

" Me?w-hat I did?" I asked him

His next words was : you will get hurt in the end don't come close to me"

" Why will I get hurt?" I asked him and saw him getting lost somewhere after a brief pause he took me to bed and tried to say..

Something about my studies , marriage,regret, distract

Wht he clearly want to say bruh??

I asked him and what he said made me feel like someone stabbed me....

H-how can he say this? That he want divorce ??

Like literally divorce! I understand our marriage was not done with our permission but we were comfortable? Right? He were comfortable with me? Or not?

Tears gathered in my eyes but to show myself strong I stopped them from falling...

" Meera p-pls sign it... I will be back .till evening" he said and went away leaving me with this fucking papers!? How I mean how?? How can he even think like this!? Wait-.. i-is there any o-other girl I-in his heart? No no... Then why would he marry me!

' but he was also forced like u' my inner self said making me realise

I wiped my tears harshly which was already rolling down from my cheeks

H-he thinks I'm too young for this marriage. I'm innocent i-i am n-not capable for him? I -i will show him!

T-that i-i am capable for b-being his wife...

I-am capable!...

I said to myself and cried... The whole day went in my room...thinking about the papers...aashi,maa,srishti,chachi ,dhruv Everyone came to see me but.. I told them that I'm not okay.. as I can't stress them.. wht will they think? They will think that it's my decision to divorce him . As I was g-forced

Thinking what to do I prepared myself

' he want divorce,I will give him!'

It was almost 8pm and I know he was about to come...so I wiped off my tears and told myself to be bold

' you are not weak Meera ,u are not weak! Hm... You are not weak!' I thought and repeated the same words in my mind until I heart some foot steps I know whose they are...and whom they belong to.. it was none other than akaay!

Author's pov

He entered the room only to see Meera sitting near the window back facing him

He was hella scared and his heart wants to take his words back but it's too late he had already hurted her... And his mind wanted to stay on his decision

Akaay saw Meera and went there .

" M-meera" he called slowly her name

She turned to look and gestured him to sit

" Kon hai wo?" Meera asked still looking outside the window and not looking at him he became confused

" Kon?" He asked

" Jiske liye aap mujhe d-divorce.. de rhe" Meera asked shocking Akaay

" M-meera jaisa tum soch rhi ho waise kuch nhi--" he tried to say

" Jhut mat boliye..." Meera said this time looking at him

There were no emotions in her eyes seeing her this side.. Akaay become a little scared... Cause she was always a emotional type of girl to him but when it comes to something which made her hurt she becomes like this bold and confident......

" Meera aisa kuch nhi" akaay said softly to her..

" Aisa kuch nhi?? " She said and laughed bitterly

" Agar aapko yahi Krna tha to umeed kyu jagayi meri? Hm? Dur kyu nhi rhe mujhse hm? Kyu!? Kyu mujhe itna comfortable feel kraya hn? Boliye kyu? Kyu Dil toda Mera??" Meera said loudly and when she said the last line that's all she lost all her patience and tears gathered in her eyes and it started falling from her eyes...

Akaay became shocked . listening to her words " aren't you uncomfortable?"he asked

"Uncomfortable? Yeh aap puch rhe? " She said and stood up

Then he noticed the tears in her eyes which hurted his heart...it felt like something pierced his heart

" God what I did? I hurted her?? I thought she will be never comfortable with me.. but here.." akaay was in his thoughts when she came with the papers which were already signed by her...

" Lijiye nhi rehna na aapko mere sath mat rahiye..." Meera said and giving those papers to akaay she went towards her side of bed and covered her with a blanket....

He saw the papers which has her sign and regretted, regretted the moment he got this thought regretted hurting her... B-but? He thought it's good for her? But maybe it wasn't she can study staying with him too? She can achieve anything staying with him too! There's no need to seperate for it? But yeh baat iss budhu ko kon samjhaye!

He stood up and went to meera and saw her crying silently under the blanket he took the blanket and saw her eyes closed

" Meera " akaay called her she didn't opened her eyes

He wasn't sure what to do but he knew one thing seeing tears in her eyes hurted him... Hurted him too much..

But then something clicked in his mind...

Flashback

Few hours ago..

Akaay was in there house office thinking about the papers he gave to meera... And suddenly his bua entered there.. though he hated her but never disrespected her...

" Akaay beta! Mene suna tum Meera ko divorce de rhe ho!" His bua said evilness was visible in her tone but Akaay ignored that and nodded

" Hmmm sahi hi hai waise bhi woh yha rehke kuch nahi kr payegi" his bus said making him note... That yes this will distract her... He doesn't want to let her go.. but at the same time he wanted to see her successful

And after that his bua said many things which made him go on with his decision and not to change it

Flashback end..

He saw her eyes closed and went back to his study...

After some time his mom came to call Meera for dinner as she was going to dining she decided to ask her too

His mother saw the door is unlocked so she entered inside only to see darkness in the room the lights were off and a blanket was there over her she thought maybe Meera has slept earlier so to not disturb her sleep she decide to move out and let her sleep for sometime

But as she was going she heard a voice.. voice like someone is crying she moved back and saw meera crying silently

Her heart ached seeing her crying she immediately went and on the lights seeing the lights on Meera quickly wiped her tears and pretended to sleep

His mother came and caressed her hairs

" Meera bache kya hua hai" his mom asked as Meera lost her patience and started crying hugging her

" Meera shh shant hojao batao kya hua hai .. a-akaay ne kuch kaha?" Her mother in law asked

Meera looked up and wiped her tears and then decided to tell her everything as she can't!.. this thing is eating her from inside...

" M-ma- wo -- h-he a-sked m-me t-to di-div-divorce " Meera said hiccuping and again hugged her mother in law

" Divorce.." his mother whispered and hugged her back

" Shh shh.. shant.. ekdam shant bache.." his mother tried and tried to console her but she was crying continuously

" Come with me we will talk to him" his mother said but Meera nodded in denail and put her head in her mother's lap..

She caressed Meera's hairs and Meera closed her eyes ... Because of crying too much her head was paining and due to that she slept...

When her mother in law noticed that she is already asleep they slowly put her head on the bed and covered her from a blanket and immediately went to his study with anger

She entered there... And see him leaning to his chair face palming himself

" Akaay!" His mother called him

Akaay looked up and saw his mother...

" Tumne Meera se divorce ki baat ki?" His mother asked and he nodded

" Kyu? Kyu kr rhe ho yeh hn? Kyu apni hi jindgi barbaad krre ho?? Apne sath sath usko kyu itna dukh dere? Kyu rula rhe ho usse?" His mother asked and he became shocked " she is still crying?" he asked

While his mother nodded

Akaay felt bad very bad... H-he doesn't know how to react? What to say?!

" Akaay I'm warning you if I will see her crying once more then I will do something which will not good!"his mother said and started going from there

" Maa I'm sorry but I can't change my decision" he said in one go

" Okay then don't! She has signed the paper and you too right? So go! Go and submit that papers and see what's upcoming next" saying his mother went out leaving akaay there lost in his thoughts....
