Chapter 4: Chapter 4

I woke up to everyone in my room except mom and dad.

“Morning guys. What’s wrong?” I asked sitting up and Blake sat down next to me.

“Mom told us you’re leaving. Is this true?” He questioned and I sighed, nodding.

“Yep. I’m going to California.” I said and Daniel shook his head.

“But Beth, California is on the other side of us.” He said and I nodded.

“I know Daniel but I need to go. I want to go.” I said and Lucy hugged me.

“I’m going to miss you but you’re going to come back right?” She asked and I nodded.

“Of course Lucy. I will come back soon.” I said and she nodded and let me go.

“Okay that’s good.” She said and I nodded and stood up.

“Okay, guys, can you leave so I can get changed?” I said and they all nodded and left.

I had a shower and got changed into a black skirt and a light purple top. I left my hair open and went downstairs to see Layla sat in the kitchen with mom.

“Hey, I’m sorry about yesterday.” I said and she shook her head.

“It’s okay. I heard you’re going to California. Today." She raised an eyebrow and I nodded as dad walked into the room.

“Yeh I’m going today. Right dad?” I asked and dad nodded.

“Not that I like it but yes. Your plane is at 3 and it’s 12 now so yeah. You need to be there at 2 okay?” Dad said and I nodded.

“Okay. Thank you dad.” I said and hugged him.

“It’s okay and this is the key for your house. There will be a car waiting for you outside. It will be a white Audi R8 and it’s yours. And the GPS will show you to your house. And I got you this as well.” Dad said handing me a bank card and two keys.

“Dad..” I said but he cut me off.

“It’s from me. The house is from your mom and the car is from your brothers and sisters. You said that I could only get you one thing. So I got you a card. And it’s unlimited.” Dad said and I smiled.

“Thank you. I need to go and pack.” I said and dad nodded and ran upstairs to my room.

“I’m going to miss all of you.” I said and hugged Blake, Lucy, Daniel and Ashton.

“Don’t tell anyone.” I whispered so lowly in Ashton’s ear that no one would be able to hear it, even with werewolf hearing.

“I’m going to miss you. Make sure to call everyday.” mom said, hugging me and I nodded.

“I will mom.” I said and hugged dad.

“Any trouble, ring me straight away. And leave your mind link open. If you see another pack call me and I’ll sort something out.” Dad said and I nodded.

“Okay” I said.

“Oh yeah, before I forget. Jake will be taking you.” dad said and I shook my head.

“NO! It’s okay! Kevin will be taking me.” I said and dad nodded slowly.

“Okay princess. Bye.” Dad said and hugged me again.

“Bye guys.” I said and walked outside where Kevin was waiting.

“Is Layla coming?” I asked and he sighed.

“Sorry Beth. She’s busy.” Kevin said and I nodded.

“Well let’s get this over with. Thanks for doing this for me.” I said as he put the bags in the boot.

“No problem. Why don’t you get in the car?” he said, smirking and I nodded.

I sat in the passenger’s seat and someone covered my eyes.

“Layla you came.” I faked a surprise look and she sighed.

“I bet you got it from my scent.” She said letting me and I turned around.

“I kind of realised that you’re in the car when Kevin smirked. I thought you were busy. ” I said and hugged her.

“Well I couldn’t let my best friend leave without saying bye.” she said as Kevin sat in the car.

“Ready to go?” Kevin questioned and I nodded.

I had said bye to Layla and Kevin and had just sat on the plane. I had no hand luggage so the top luggage compartment was empty. I sat in my seat, next to the window.

A lot of people came and the seat next to me was empty. The flight had started and was in the air as well.

A guy walked past and I could tell he was a wolf. I could smell his wolf. He stopped and turned around and looked at me. He had brown hair and wasn’t very built. He was staring at me for a very long time and then walked to the toilet.

Already seen a wolf. I shook my head, closing my eyes.

I had reached California. It was so sunny here and really hot. I grabbed my four suitcases and put them on a trolley. I walked outside and looked behind me too see the guy that was in the plane behind me and looking at me.

I quickly went outside and found my car. It was beautiful. I quickly walked towards it and put all my bags in the car and sat inside just as the guy came out the airport and looked at me.

I started the car as he started running. I waved and drove off.

After about an hour I got to the house and wow it was so big.

I grabbed my suitcases and went to the door. I opened it with the key and it was stunning from the inside. Straight away on my left, there are spiral stairs and then on my right is the living room with a big kitchen. And then another set of stairs.

I went upstairs to see four rooms. I went inside one of the rooms and loved it. It had a big balcony outside with two chairs outside and a table.

I went back downstairs, and there were two more doors. I opened one and it was the back door to a really big garden with trees. I went to the other door and it was a swimming pool.

“Wow.” I stared at it all before pulling my suitcases upstairs.

I got changed into black bed shorts with white stripes and a big white shirt.

I laid in bed.

Dad. I’m here. I said through the mindlink.

Okay, princess. Do you like the place? Dad said and I mentally nodded.

Yes. I really like it, dad. Especially the swimming pool. Thank you. I replied.

Okay princess. Goodnight. Dad said and I nodded.

Night dad. I said and closed the mind link.

The time difference between New York and California is 3 hours. So New York is ahead by three hours, and now it’s 9pm here and in New York it’s 12.

I chuckled.
