Oliver wake up. Do you want to go to meganâs house today?â I asked shaking him slowly
âYes daddy. I want to goâ he mumbled sitting up in bed, and rubbing his eyes
âGood. Now you brush your teeth, and Iâll pick your clothesâ I said standing up as he got out of bed and went to the bathroom.
I walked to the closet and picked out his clothes.
âDaddy. Can Rachel get me ready? Please?â He asked coming out of the bathroom
âNo Oliver. She might be busy.â I said just as the door opened
âIts okay Jaxon. Iâm happy to helpâ I heard Rachel say coming into the room.
âRachel your pregnant! I donât want to leave Oliver on you.â I mumbled and she shook her head
âItâs okay. I love Oliver! And I am going to be pregnant for a few months Jaxon. I canât just ignore Oliver. Is that right Oliver?â She said getting down on her knees slowly.
âYes! I love youâ he said hugging her
âOliver be carefulâ I mumbled and he nodded and let her go.
âI love you too Oli. I heard so you have a date. Your so grown up! I think we need to get you some nice clothesâ she exclaimed standing up
âIâll be downstairsâ I said and she nodded walking to the closet.
I went downstairs to the kitchen to see kyle making pancakes
âDonât burn them!â I said and he rolled his eyes
âI can cook jaxonâ he muttered and I shook my head
âYou canât cook kyle. You can bake but not cook!â I explained as he threw a burnt pancake in the bin.
âFine. You do it thenâ he muttered handing me the pan and I nodded
âI heard Oliver is going to a girls house?â He asked as I put the mixture in the pan.
âYeah he is. Heâs really excited to goâ I replied and he nodded
âWhy donât you put Oliver in a werewolf school?â He asked and I shrugged
âItâs his choice kyle. If he wants to go to a human school, then I donât mind. And he has told me that he doesnât like the werewolf school. Remember the first day he went and he came back crying. I tried to ask him what happened but he never told me. He said you wonât understand? But itâs true. If he doesnât tell me them how am I meant to understandâ I explained putting the pancakes in the plate as Oliver and Rachel walked into the room.
âDaddy look. Auntie Rachel said I look handsomeâ Oliver said as kyle helped him on the stool
âYou do little man. Hey Oliver, why donât you want to go to a werewolf school?â Kyle asked and Rachel hit him on the head

âChill kyle. Nobody can understand womenâ I mumbled and walked out the kitchen. I went to the living room to see Oliver crying on Rachelâs shoulder.
âI donât like that school Auntie Rachel. Everyone says my mommy died. I know! But people donât play with me because I donât have a mommyâ he cried
âShush Oliver. I know. I remember when you told me. But remember what I told you? Ignore them. You have a great dad that looks after you good. And you have me and uncle kyle as well. And then you have uncle Ryan and uncle Eric. All those people can look after you. So what if you donât have a mommy, you have usâ Rachel explained making him sit on her lap
âYeah. But thatâs why I like my school, Auntie Rachel. Everyone plays with me, even if I donât have a mommy. Megan said she likes me too, because Iâm strong. I said she is strong too because she doesnât have a daddyâ he replied as Rachel wiped his eyes
âI know Oli. Now how about you go to meganâs house. We donât want her to see you cry, do we? Your a strong boyâ she said making him stand up and sorting his clothes out.
âNow anything happens, you can always tell me if you canât tell your daddy okay?â She said and he nodded
I walked out the house and to my car. I drove to the cemetery and walked inside to Cherryâs grave.
âLook what happened cherry. He canât even tell me anything! You left and he is alone! He canât even trust me. He gets bullied in school, because he doesnât have a mom. Thatâs fucking crazy. Why did you leave cherry? Why? I canât do it alone. I tried but I canât. I need you cherry. I need you so bad. Oliver needs you as well. I canât do it anymore cherry. I canât. He doesnât trust meâ I shouted falling to the floor defeated.
âI need you cherry. I miss youâ I whispered as someone touched my shoulder
âJaxon. Come on. You canât give upâ I heard kyle mutter
âI canât do it alone kyle. I canât.â I whispered tears rolling down my face
âJaxon. You canât give up. What is Oliver going to think? You know Rachel loves Oliver and she doesnât mind looking after himâ he said sitting down next to me.
âKyle how long is your mate going to look after him? Once the baby is born, she has to look after the baby then. What about Oliver? He doesnât even trust me to tell me what happens in school? So what if he needs someone to talk to? Rachel canât always be thereâ I shouted and he sighed
âLook Jaxon. Letâs not do this here. This is the human area. Theyâll get suspicious and we donât need that headache. Rachel has taken Oliver to meganâs house. And you? You need to pull yourself together. I know you break down every night Jaxon. Iâm not stupid. I see you wake up in the night and walk outside, just staring at the sky! You need to get over this. You have to do this for Oliverâ he said and I nodded
âYou go kyle. And Iâll pick Oliver up in an hourâ I mumbled and he nodded
âDonât do anything stupid kyle. This pack needs their alphaâ he said standing up and I nodded as he walked away.

I knocked on Ericaâs door and after a few seconds she opened it with a big smile
âHey. Come on in and Iâll call himâ she said and I nodded closing the door behind me
âI hope he hasnât been a troubleâ I said and she shook her head walking to a room.
âOh no. Heâs been a right gentleman.â She said and I smiled and nodded
âOliver. Your dadâs hereâ she shouted upstairs
In a few seconds Oliver came running downstairs.
âDaddy. Where did you go in the morning?âhe said hugging me and I picked him up
âSorry son. I had some meetingsâ I said and he nodded
âOliver is really clever for a 5 years old. Heâs amazingâ Erica said and I nodded
When I put Oliver in a human school, I made his age higher, because werewolfs are more clever, stronger, and grow older than normal humans. So Oliver is only 2 years old but he looks around 5.
âYeah he is. Thank you for having Oliverâ I said and she nodded
âNo problem. He can come around any timeâ she said opening the door for me and I nodded
I walked down the couple of steps and to my car. I put Oliver in his seat and sat in my own.
âOliver how about we go shopping and get you some more toys to play with?â I asked and he started clapping
âYes daddyâ he shouted and I nodded
