Bethany’s p.o.v

“Bethany. Come here” I heard Charles shout and I sighing, I turned around.

“I didn’t do it!” I explained and he smiled

“Bethany. You need to come inside. We have to give your pills and you need to leave as well” he said and I nodded

“I’m coming” I mumbled and walked back inside the house.

“I’ll go get you your pills and your bag. And you tell me everything your going to do when you reach there” he asked walking into the living room.

“Well I have to reach California and then find a guy- Erm I forgot his name. But yes. And then I tell him everything I told you. And that’s it. He decides the rest?” I questioned as he walked back out.

“Here are you pills. And you need to find a guy called Cole Damien. And tell them that Charles sent you. They will understand” he said pulling a suitcase out of the living room.

“Okay. Thanks Charles. I don’t remember anything at all but you helped me. You made me pills that will help me get my memory back. Your a great chemistry teacher. I didn’t think they would allow you to do all this! It’s kind of shocking and unbelievable. Thanks Charles” I mumbled hugging him

“No problem dear. It’s the perks of being a chemistry teacher” he chuckled

“Thank you for taking me in. I better be going” I said picking my small suitcase up

“Yeah. Just be careful. If anyone asks, your name is Veronica. And your my daughter. Okay?“he asked opening the door and I nodded

“Veronica Hale” I repeated and he nodded

“Okay. So when you get to California you go to this address. If you can’t find anyone here, then ask for Cole Damien. Some one should know him. Say the word alpha. And they will take him straight to him.” He said handing me by fake passport and papers

“Alpha? Isn’t that in book-”

“Off you go bethany. You will miss your flight.” He cut me off and I nodded

“Okay. Bye Charles and thanks” I waved and sat in the car.

I reached California. And it was hot!

I sat in a taxi and the guy looked shocked to see me.

“Can you take me to this place please?” I asked handing him the paper and he nodded

“Of course luna” he exclaimed starting the car

“Not luna. My name is bethany” I said and he nodded

“Alpha is going to be so happy to see you” he said smiling at me in the review mirror

“Alpha? Yes. Oh so they already know I’m here? Charles told me to say alpha? But he already told these people I’m coming.” I mumbled to myself

“Charles? Who is Charles luna- I mean bethany?” The guy asked

“You heard that? Charles is my dad” I repeated what Charles has been making me say

“Your dad? But what about alpha Damien?” He asked confused

“Alpha Damien? I don’t understand” I asked confused

“Wait. I’ll tell alpha your coming” he said and his eyes glazed over

“Oh my god. Are you okay? Is something wrong? Hello?” I jumped up and was about to shake him when he turned his head around and looked at me.

“I’m okay bethany. I just have to contact alpha. To let him know your coming” he said and I sighed

“But your eyes. They were glazed over? How did that happen? And your driving. I could have died” I yelled and he turned back around.

“Sorry luna” he muttered

“Bethany” I replied and he nodded

After 5 minutes of driving threw the woods, we reached a really big house.

“Where are we? Are you trying to kidnap me?” I asked following him out the car as he took my suitcase

“No luna. This is your home” he said walking towards the house.

“Excuse me! This is wrong. You can’t just take someone’s suitcase and tell them this is their house. I have to meet a guy called Cole Damien? Do you know him?” I asked following him.

“Yes” the guy said opening the door to the big house. Everyone was staring at me and following me inside.

“Oi! Excuse me?” I mumbled trying to stop the guy with my suitcase

“Alpha” the guy shouted and I sighed as a few people came out the kitchen.

“Bethany?” A girl with red hair shouted and ran to me. She hugged me tightly

“Oh. Jaxon is going to be so happy” she mumbled and I pushed her away.

“Some room people. God! Never heard of personal space” I mumbled rubbing the flour off my jeans.

“Mommy” a little boy said running towards me. He hugged my legs tightly

“Cherry?” I heard another voice before someone tall was hugging me tightly.

The guy hugged me and sniffed my hair.

Not much of a hug person I thought

“Can you let me go?” I mumbled and he groaned

“I have been dying to hear your voice. I missed you so much cherry” he mumbled looking at me.

I didn’t have much time to look at his face, before he crashed his lips on mine. I pushed him away and groaned

“Stop. Everyone. Please” I sighed and the little boy moved away from me.

“Leave. All of you” the guy that kissed me said and everyone left except a few people.

“Wait! You!” I yelled to the taxi guy and he stopped

“Yes luna?” He asked and I walked closer to him.

“It’s bethany. But can you take me back. I need to see a guy called Cole Damien” I muttered and he looked behind him

“Alpha” he said

“Yes! Alpha? That’s the word. Can you take me to him please?” I asked but he ignored me and walked out the house, closing the door behind him.

“Fine ignore me. Rude much?” I muttered and grabbed my suitcase

“Cherry wait. I can call your dad” the guy that kissed me said walking infront of me.

“Rachel. Take Oliver upstairs.” He said and the girl with the red hair, took the little boy upstairs.

“Do you know Cole Damien?” I asked him and he nodded

“Yes cherry. I know your dad” he smirked

’“Dad? Can I see him. It’s urgent” I mumbled and he nodded

He walked towards me and held my hand.

“I missed you cherry” he mumbled kissing my hand

“Bethany” I replied pulling my hand out of his

“I’ll call your dad” he mumbled and walked to another room. I went to living room and sat down on the sofa.

I don’t know any of these people I mumbled looking around the room. There were a few pictures on the fireplace and I walked towards them. There was one of me with the girl called Rachel?

I don’t remember any of this

“Your dad will be here any minute. He was actually coming to visit oliver” I heard a voice behind me

“Oh. Sorry about looking at these. I was jus-”

“It’s okay cherry. This house is yours” he smiled

“I don’t know you!” I blurted and he looked confused

“What! Cherry I’m your mat-” he got cut off by the doorbell rang.

“I’ll be back” he mumbled and walked out the room.

“Where is she? Bethany” I heard another voice shout before an older man appeared into the living room

“Princess..” he whispered before walking to me and hugging me.

“Are you Cole Damien?” I asked and he chuckled and let me go

“Nice joke bethany. You can’t forgot your dad” he chuckled and I sighed

“Charles sent me here.” I said and he looked shocked

“Charles Hale?” He asked and I nodded

“Yes!” I exclaimed

“I’m going to kill that bastard” he growled?

“Are you okay?” I asked and he nodded

“Bethany. What did he say? You do know that he is a wizard. He is cable of doing anything” he muttered and I laughed

“Wizard? This is not a book Cole. Charles is a chemistry teacher!” I explained dad he sighed

“What has happened to you. I’m going to ask a few questions and I want you to answer them. Okay?” He said and I nodded slowly

“What’s your name?” He asked

“Bethany. But if someone else asks be, except you, then it’s Veronica Hale” I replied and he nodded

“What do you know about yourself?” He asked

“Well I am a girl and 22 years old. I’m going to be 23 soon” I replied and he nodded

“What’s your full name? And your parents name?” He asked and I shrugged my shoulder

“I don’t know” I mumbled and he sighed

“So you fucking lost your memory. I’m going to kill that asshole” he yelled and I sat down on the sofa

“No! Charles he helped me. He told me to tell you everything. But I can’t because-” I looked at the guy

“He is your mat- never mind. Your a human” Cole muttered and I rolled my eyes

“So your telling me your not a human?” I asked standing up

“No we are humans. Sit back down. And you can trust Jaxon. He won’t tell anyone. Now tell me how all of this happened?” Cole said and I nodded

“Charles is a good guy. All I remember, two years ago, is waking up on a street. In Florida. And Charles he was walking by, when he saw me. He took me home and looked after me. For two years Charles made me pills that will help me remember again. That’s why I was sent here. Because I’m going to get my memory back soon so I had to meet Cole. That’s why I was under a different name. Charles said that someone is after me and I have to come back to you guys. He said he can’t protect me forever. I never understand him but he did help me” I explained and cole nodded

“Wait! So one thing I don’t understand is the heads. Why were they send to us?” Jaxon asked and Cole sighed

“Illusions” he mumbled and Jaxon nodded.

“I’m confused” I stood up

“Don’t worry cherry.” Jaxon said walking towards me and I stepped back.

“Jaxon stop! She doesn’t know you” Cole said pulling Jaxon back

“Cole she’s my mate. She needs to know me!” He shouted and I moved back.

“Jaxon stop” Cole said looking at me

“No! She needs to know me. She’s MY MATE! She loves me. I fucking know it and she does as well” Jaxon shouted and I leaned on the wall sighing.

Ever since I lost my memory, I find it hard to breath when I’m in a noisy place. I have panic attacks sometimes as well. I just don’t get it!

“Jaxon calm the fuck down. Bethany? What’s wrong princess?” Cole asked walking close to me

“Nothing” I breathed out. I sat on the floor and took deep breaths.

“Cherry! What’s wrong cherry?” Jaxon asked sitting down next to me.

“I’m okay!” I mumbled standing up

“I’m sorry cherry. I didn’t know this was going to happen to you. I didn’t know you were going to get scared of me. I didn’t know!” He exclaimed and I nodded

“It’s okay. And it’s bethany” I repeated

“Would you like to tell me the rest?” Cole asked and I nodded sitting back down on the sofa

“Do you have someone talking in your mind at times? Like explaining things or something?” He asked and I shook my head

“No” I mumbled and he nodded

“So she lost her wolf as well. Do you feel different sometimes? For example, when your upset, the weather changes?” He asked and I scoffed

“I can’t control the weather you know” I exclaimed and he nodded and turned to Jaxon

“I’m guessing James has gotten rid of her memory and everything. She’s a human now! She doesn’t know us or anything. I’m going to call Charles and talk to him” Cole said and walked out the room.

“Cherry? Do you remember me?” Jaxon asked sitting on the floor and leaning on the sofa

“No?” I questioned

“What do you remember?” He asked looking at me

“I don’t know anything about my past! All I remember is waking up on a street, confused. And then Charles finding me” I explained and he nodded

“I know you will remember me soon” he mumbled leaning his head on my lap

“Excus-”

“I talked to Charles. And he said that he had seen James close by in Florida. That’s the reason why he sent her here. And she should get her memory back in a few days. When she gets it back, that’s when she will have to attack. We have to keep a close eye on her. Make sure she doesn’t go anywhere alone” Cole said walking into the room.

“I’ll make sure of that” Jaxon mumbled standing up

“Are you staying?” I asked cole and he shook his head

“No. I have to go back” he said and I sighed

“Can you stay, until I get my memory back? Please?” I asked and he nodded

“Of course princess. Why don’t you go upstairs and rest for a while?” He said and I nodded

“First floor, and first door” Jaxon said and I nodded

I walked out the room, and upstairs. I opened the first door to see a little boy crying on the bed.

“Are you okay?” I asked and he looked up at me.

“Yes” he replied looking at a photo frame in his hands

I nodded and closed the door behind me.

“Can I stay here with you?” I asked and he nodded. I sat on the bed as he wiped his eyes

“How old are you?” I asked

“2” he replied and I was shocked

“2? You look about 4-5” I mumbled and he nodded

“Yes” he said

“What’s this in your arms? Why are you crying?” I asked softly as tears rolled down his face

“My mommy” he said handing me the picture. It was of me and Jaxon smiling with a little boy in our hands?

“You are my mommy right? Daddy told me you are?” He asked looking at me

“I-I. Yeah” I muttered and he jumped on me and hugged me tightly

“Mommy I missed you. Did you get me a star?” He asked

“Star?” I asked confused and he let me go and sat in my lap

“Yeah mommy. Daddy said you went to the stars, to get me one. Did you get me one?” He asked and I shook my head

“They had so many people asking for stars and when I wanted one, they all finished. Sorry” I replied frowning and he shook his head

“It’s okay mommy. I love you” he said kissing my cheek

“Your mommy loves you too” I whispered.
