Chapter 19: Chapter 19

“I have to go, Jaxon” I mumbled and he sighed

“But cherry? You will come back right?” He asked and I nodded

“Of course” I said and he nodded and gave me my bag.

“Let’s go then” Jaxon said walking out the room.

I was going home today, to learn my powers with mom. I was also taking Eric with me. I don’t want him to be sad when he sees Ryan and chloe together. And uncle Carter. He is my mom’s best friends, mate, and he has the earth element.

" I want you to come back soon. You promise right?” Jaxon asked and I nodded as Eric went to the plane

“I promise” I said and he leaned down and pecked my lips.

“I’ll miss you” he mumbled against my lips

“Maybe I will too” I muttered and he chuckled

“I know you will. And keep our mindlink open” he said standing up and I nodded

“Bye” I said grabbing my bag

“See you later cherry?” He asked and I nodded

“See you later Jaxon” I said waving and walked into the plane.

“She’s back!” Ashton shouted walking into the house.

“Star and Carter are here as well” mom shouted from the living room. I ran to the room and hugged uncle carter.

“I take someone missed me” he said chuckling and I nodded

“I did. Nobody ever wanted to play with me. And you guys took so long” I exclaimed letting go of him.

“Only 1 year beth! It was amazing” Carter said and I nodded

“This is Eric. My friend” I said and Eric waved at everyone

“Hi. I’m skylar” mom said shaking his hand and Eric nodded

“Beth. I’m going to go rest. Can you show me my room?” He asked and Daniel walked into the room.

“Daniel will show you. Dan this is Eric, my friend, and Eric this is Daniel my brother” I introduced them, and Daniel nodded

“Come on man” Daniel said and walked out the room with Eric behind him.

“So shall we get started? I want to see everything you can do” Carter said and I nodded

We walked out the room and all the way to the backyard.

“Which power have you learnt?” Carter asked

I closed my eyes and thought of standing infront on carter.

“Teleportantion” Carter said smirking and I nodded opening my eyes

“And mind reading” I said thinking about reading Carter’s mind.

I could so beat her

“You think you can beat me? Really?” I scoffed and he nodded

“Anytime beth. I could beat you and your mom as well” he said and I rolled my eyes.

“Okay then. Why don’t you and mom practice. You already know about the war right?” I asked and he scoffed

“Yeah. You dad informed me but it’s not that I agree on it. And bethany, me and your mom know our powers well enough. We’ve had a lot of practice. It’s you who needs practise. So how about you go against me and your mom?” He asked and I nodded

“Okay” I said smirking and aunt Scarlett moved out of the way.

“Be easy on her” she said and walked inside.

“Carter? Really? She’s my daughter. I can’t hurt her” mom said crossing her arms.

“Come on mom. You can’t be soft on me. The warlock is going to come some day come and I haven’t even mastered my powers” I groaned and mom nodded

“Fine. On the count of 3” mom muttered and I stood in the middle as mom and Carter stood on the opposite sides of me.

“1,2,3” mom shouted and splashed water in me.

I used the wind to lift me up and create a storm around carter. That would hold him for a couple of minutes. I made a shield around mom, and she made it rain on me.

Mom has the element of water and fire and Carter has the element of earth.

“Do you want me to stop?” Mom asked worried and I shook my head

“Nope. And sorry” I shouted from the sky. I created a cloud on top of mom and made it hail. Just then uncle carter came out of the storm with grass under him.

He put his hand forward and the tree branches wrapped themselves around me.

“Uncle Carter! That’s unfair. Now i’m stu-” I cut myself off by teleporting myself out of the trees and infront of carter.

“Ha” I shouted and froze him with ice.

Just then, there was a shield of fire around me and arrows of fire dropping out of the sky, straight at me.

“Teleportantion” I mumbled kind of scared of getting burned. I moved right infront of mom and crossed my arms.

“You could have burned me mom or worse. Killed me” I exclaimed and mom smiled

“It wasn’t real Bethany. It was just to show you that the warlock will not be stopping for anyone” she said and sprayed me with water.

“Okay STOP!” I heard dad shout and mom stopped, and I turned to look at dad.

“What is going on here. Bethany. What have you done to Carter?” Dad asked and I sighed and got rid of the ice from him and he fell to the floor.

“We’re just practising Cole. Bethany needs it. She’s good, but she takes time to think. A lot.” Mom said walking towards dad

“Skylar..I’m not going to let her fight alone. I’ll stay with her”dad said and I shook my head.

“Dad! You have to trust me. I can do this” I said and dad sighed

“But what if more than just the Warlock attacks you. What if there’s vampires, fairies or even witches. Then what are you going to do?” dad asked

“Make a shield around myself and think of an idea?” I questioned

“A warlock knows magic. Any type of magic. So he can get rid of your smiled with a flick of his finger. Then what?” Dad asked

“That’s why I’m practising dad. The more I know the less time it takes for me to think” I said

“She’s right Cole. She’s good at it all. And she knows all of her powers well. And I say that she has mastered her weather, air element. All she needs to improve is her other powers.” Carter said walking closer to us.

“Okay fine. But you have special training. Everyday I want you to train. Are you going back?” Dad asked and I nodded

“Yes I am. And I know I keep moving, but this is the last time. I’m staying with Jaxon now. Forever” I said and mom smiled

“He told me that he is a hybrid. He told everyone. And when you got kidnapped, he was acting creepy as hell. That’s when he told all of us” mom said and I nodded

“Yeah. I just came today to get all of my things and say bye to all of you guys” I said and mom nodded

“Yeah. It’s better to stay with your mate, because now that he has marked you, the pain will be more.” Mom said and I nodded

“Yeah. That’s why I want to go as quick I can.” I mumbled and mom nodded

“Okay. Why don’t you go have a shower and get dressed. And i’ll make dinner” mom said and I nodded

“I have to get dressed again? Because someone drenched me. Oh wait!” I exclaimed and twirled my finger over my head, to try myself with the wind.

“It works. I’ll be in my room. Bye” I shouted and ran back inside.

I miss Jaxon already.
