Chapter 7
Love After Divorce by BELLA
Chapter 7:.
Stella was still deep in thought when a sweet, childlike voice suddenly reached her ears. âDaddy... Daddy! The baby is here!â
Stella looked at the girl, about four years old, who was running toward the man in front of the car.
Alia had left the school surrounded by several bodyguards. When the girl saw the man standing in front of the car, she screamed and ran towards him....
RK noticed his daughter running towards him and quickly took big steps forward, taking the child in his arms.
The bodyguards followed close behind. He had only come to pick up his daughter, but it felt like a spectacle, attracting the attention of many onlookers.
âWhy are you running? You know Dad will be worried.â
Alia nodded and said, âI know, Dad...next time.â
Stella was watching the interaction between father and daughter when a familiar, crisp voice came from behind, drawing her attention.
âHoney?â
Adrian, always attentive to Stellaâs emotions, had noticed the sadness in her expression. Concerned, he looked at her and said, âHoney, if youâre not happy, I can give you a big hug!â.
Saying this, she opened both arms wide.
Stella looked at her sonâs little face and hid the faint emotions from her eyes. She picked up the chubby little guy and hugged him tightly, kissing his rosy cheeks.
âHoney heâs not unhappy,â she reassured him, âbut yes, your hugs are wonderful. I like them very much.â
After looking at her son, Stella forgot about everything else; she didnât care about anything. In her life, nothing mattered more than her son.
âIf my darling likes it, then hug me like this forever,â Adrian said with an earnest nod of his head, hugging Stellaâs neck. âAnd when you grow old, Iâll hold you and take care of you.â
Your escape is on g Ɐ ln Ï Î½í® âs.com âWell, then donât forget... Iâm counting on you to take me back and take care of me.â
Stella joked, playfully pinching her chubby cheeks. With that, Stella started walking in the opposite direction of RK and his group of people.
Time seemed to stand still. The moment was so precious; mother and son were chatting and laughing, as if they were alone in this world with no one around.
At home...
It had not been long since Stella had returned, and she had nowhere to live here except RKâs mansion, where she had lived for three years after her marriage to RK.
But of course, I couldnât go there, and even if I could... I wasnât willing to go.
So, right now, she was living in an apartment she had rented with her best friend, Emily.
Emily and Stella worked together in France, and since they were both from the same country, they got along well. Last year, Emily was there from headquarters, so after that they didnât work together in France.
âStella, youâre here!â
Emily, who was busy in the kitchen, heard the noise in the living room and came out to see. When she saw Stella, she greeted her cheerfully.
Since he had been working in the kitchen and had just come out, he still wore his apron around his body.
As she spoke to Stella, her eyes fell on the little boy next to her and her face filled with excitement. âLook whoâs here, my little boy! You donât know how much your aunt has missed you.â
Emily exclaimed, rushing over to Adrian to hug him tightly and kiss his cheeks.
Adrian frowned because, with the exception of his mother, he didnât like anyone kissing him. But of course, there was nothing he could do because he knew his aunt was always like that.
Undeterred by his reaction, Emily continued, âAuntie made you your favorite grilled sandwich and corn chowder today. You want to eat, donât you?â she asked as she held him in her arms.
As she carried him in her arms, Emily continued, âI wasnât home yesterday, so I didnât get to see you. Itâs been almost a year since I last saw you.
You donât know how much Iâve missed my little baby.â
Then, she put him on the couch and said, âBut I can say that in this year, my baby got cuter and chubbier.â
âFatty?â
Adrian heard her words and jumped down from the couch. âI think Auntie is getting old and her eyesight has gone bad, how can she say Iâm chubby? Itâs just that Iâm cute and handsome!â.
Adrian said with an angry face, turning his head away from Emily.
Emily saw her cute reaction and laughed, âHehe.... Have you ever seen such a cute aunt who even knows how to cook delicious food?â she teased. Adrian, still sulking, said nothing, keeping his head turned away.
Emily looked at Stella and complained, âItâs only been a year since we last saw each other, and look at this little guy? How ungrateful he is!â
Stella said nothing and just smiled, because the two of them were always like that.
She gently tousled her sonâs fluffy hair and said, âHoney, go wash your hands. Itâs time to eat.
Adrian listened to his motherâs words and replied, âVery good, honey!â.
As he said this, he ran to the bathroom to wash his hands.
Emily complained again, âLook at this little guy; he only knows how to listen to his mother! Stella, how long are you going to stay in the field this time?â.
Stella sat on the couch, her expression thoughtful.
âIâve already done what Mr. Paul asked me to do. At first I thought this project would take me at least two months, but everything went faster and smoother than I expected...â.
He paused and then added, âNow that itâs all done, Iâm thinking of coming back as soon as possible.â
I didnât want him to be her boss. She didnât want to wait for him. She didnât want her son and daughter to go to the same school.
Most of all, Stella was afraid he would find out about Adrian.
After their divorce six years earlier, she had cut all ties with him. They were already separated, and she didnât want to see him again.... Ever!
âThen come back... But...â Emily heard that Rene Kingston bought the company.
She already knew his situation, so she also knew of his concern and worry. But whatever happened, she would always be by his side.
âBut the problem is that now that Mr. Paulâs company has been bought by the RK Group, if you want to go back to France, you will have to get their approval.â
Stella frowned. Because this was the very situation she had been worrying about. She had been thinking about this for a whole day, but she still didnât have the courage to face it.
Whatâs more, I didnât want to look at him, let alone say a single word to him....
Every time I thought about this, I felt a kind of psychological burden.
