Chapter 604
Love After Divorce by BELLA
Chapter 602:
âStella, do you think we need to go in?â Emily held Stellaâs arm, still hesitant to enter.
âWhat do you think?â Stella looked at Emilyâs cowardly demeanor, wanting to express that she hardly recognized this woman.
Stella sighed, shrugged off Emilyâs grip, turned her hand, and took Emilyâs arm, leading her into the building.
Emily was completely dragged into the RK Group building by Stella.
âHello, where is the personnel department?â Stella smiled as she addressed the staff at the front desk.
âHello, are you Miss Richard and Miss Emily?â The staff member looked at Stella and smiled gently, but in her mind, she wondered if these two were related to the president. The president had asked her to take them directly to his office.
âYes.â Stella was very curious about how the staff member knew them.
âHello, I will take you there.â
The woman escorted them, and Stella didnât think much about it. She pulled the stunned Emily into the elevator with her.
âStella, I canât go back on my word!â Emily suddenly came to her senses and pulled Stella back, trying to act like a spoiled child.
She didnât even notice that there was someone else beside her.
âWhat do you think?â
Stella glared at Emily, feeling embarrassed to smile at the people next to her.
âAh! Itâs all Rubenâs fault. Otherwise, I would have been happy to come to work. Iâm so annoyed!â
Emily didnât realize that there was someone beside her; she called out Rubenâs name as if she held a grudge against him.

At that moment, Stella wanted to distance herself from Emily. She felt like Emily had forgotten her brain at home when she came out.
âItâs all his fault. Otherwise, I wouldnât feel like a lunatic now. I suddenly feel that RK is much better,â Emily continued, oblivious to the atmosphere in the elevator.
The receptionist next to her was already startled by Emily. She thought hearing Rubenâs name was scary enough, but she didnât expect her to mention the presidentâs name too.
Just then, the elevator stopped, and the door opened. The receptionist stepped out. âThe two of you, please.â
Hearing someone speak and noticing another person, Emilyâs pupils dilated as she realized there was someone else in the elevator.
Stella smiled gently at Emily and walked out of the elevator first.
Emily immediately covered her face, feeling embarrassed. How could she not know that there was someone else in the elevator?
She had been so focused on avoiding Ruben. She hadnât even seen him yet, and she had already lost face.
The receptionist brought Stella and Emily to the door of the presidentâs office and knocked. âPresident, Miss Richard and Miss Emily are here.â
As soon as she called for the president, Stella realized that RK had returned to work. She had thought he would come to work, but she didnât expect him to have someone escort her directly to his office.
âCome in,â RKâs deep voice rang out, and Stella was certain it was him.
âStella, didnât RK ask Ruben to work for him? Isnât he resting? Whatâs wrong?â Emily looked at Stella in confusion.
Stella shook her head and remained silent.
The receptionist opened the door for Stella and Emily and then left. She had some big news to share with others; otherwise, she couldnât handle it alone.
Stella and Emily entered the office and saw RK reading a document at his desk.
Stella frowned and didnât speak first.
When Emily saw that RK was alone and Ruben wasnât there, she relaxed and felt no fear. She walked to the sofa and sat down.
âDidnât you tell me that I could report directly to the personnel department?â Stella frowned and looked at RK, who had raised his head.
âI was worried that the personnel department wouldnât make good arrangements, so I changed my mind.â RK looked at Stella as if he hadnât done anything wrong, but rather something good, waiting for her to praise him.
Stella stared at RK, unsure of what to say. She shouldnât have trusted a manâs words.
Stella sat down next to Emily, ignoring RK.
RK looked at Stella and acted as if nothing had happened. He picked up the phone. âBring me two cups of coffee.â After that, RK hung up the phone, then stood up from his chair and walked over to Stella.
âRuben, I just heard the girl at the front desk say that my sister-in-law and Emily are here.â Before Ruben arrived, RKâs voice had already reached them.
Ruben pushed open the door to RKâs office and saw Stella and Emily sitting there.
Ruben smiled at Stella, and when he saw Emily, he felt even happier.
When RKâs secretary entered to deliver the coffee, she sensed the awkward atmosphere in the office and wanted to leave.
However, with the coffee in her hand, she could only smile gently and walk in.
After delivering the coffee, she left the office immediately, feeling that the atmosphere inside was too tense.
But no matter how uncomfortable it was, it couldnât quell her curiosity.
