Chapter 51
Love After Divorce by BELLA
Chapter 51:.
When Stella looked behind her, the man had walked past her. He sat at a table not far from hers.
Stella cursed inwardly: âWhy do I have such bad luck? Why do I meet this man everywhere I go? She checked her phone; it was just a clock....
Lunchtime had just started. How could it have ended already? And if lunchtime was over, why was she still here? Were there different rules for her compared to other workers?
Tristan, who was sitting across from her, raised his hand, looked at the watch on his wrist and said, âHow is it possible that your companyâs lunch hour ended at 1? Why do I remember someone saying that lunch hour starts at 1?â
Stella took another bite of the food on her plate.
Yes, the lunch break started at 1 oâclock! It didnât end until two oâclock. However, now that she had met that man, she didnât know what was wrong with him. Why didnât he let her have lunch with anyone else?
Stella replied, âYes, it just started!â.
That was the truth. It was written in the company rules that the lunch break started at one oâclock in the afternoon. During that hour, employees could do whatever they wanted; it was their free time.
Even if the president wanted to be taken care of, she didnât have to go. At least during that hour, it was her time.
Hearing this, Tristan felt that nothing was wrong. He nodded and said, âKeep eating! If the food isnât enough, we can order more!â.
As he said this, he put more food on Stellaâs plate.
Stella loved food and refused nothing. Whatâs more, Tristan knew her tastes very well and everything she ordered was her favorite. She noticed and kept eating. However, every time she put her head down to eat, she felt that someone was looking at her from the opposite side....
Moreover, he felt that the look was unfriendly and full of hostility. But when he raised his head, he found no one in his field of vision.
After a few rounds, Stella no longer felt like eating because in front of her table sat RK. Every time Stella raised her head to look for the person staring at her â who knows from where â her eyes would meet his!
gⱯlnÏνí®âs.cøm brings endless adventures However, when Stella looked at him, that man didnât even give her a glance!
It was as if the sinister look was not hers as she ate now. Stella had lost her appetite.
âStella! Why donât you eat, donât you like it?â
Tristan looked at Stella and saw that she was clueless, so he asked.
The man was sitting diagonally across from her, as if he was there to watch her. She was eating, but it seemed as if someone was watching her all the time....
It was as if she had done something wrong and lightning was about to strike her.
âNo, Iâm full.â
Stella shook her head.
Stella looked at Tristanâs plate and saw that he hadnât even touched his dishes. She told him kindly, âYou should eat too. Donât starve yourself.â
As she said this, Stella placed the remaining plates on Tristanâs plate one by one.
But every time Stella put something on Tristanâs plate, she felt someoneâs eyes staring at her again.
The next second, she raised her head and saw RK, who was sitting in front of her table, looking at her. Their eyes met.
This time, RK looked at her without hiding anything. She felt as if in his eyes there was a storm capable of destroying everything.
When they looked into each otherâs eyes, Stella only felt a sense of danger. It was as if there was an unknown pressure full of warning and oppression. Stella could only feel that it was inexplicable!
Why was that man looking at her? Lunchtime wasnât over yet. Why was he interfering with her lunchtime?
He could have lunch and she could not?
Stella lowered her head and growled coldly; she didnât want to look at that jerk!
As he held the food in his hand, he said, âBrother Tristan, eat more! You must be very busy at the hospital this afternoon, right?
Iâve heard that sometimes doctors are busy for more than ten hours and donât eat anything. eat more! Donât forget to eat when you are busy later.â
These words... Stella could have sworn she didnât mean anything by them. She just remembered that Tristan also had a stomach problem like hers.
Stella used to have stomach problems if she drank cold drinks, but before long it seemed that her stomach problems spread to others.
Shortly after Tristan became a doctor, he also had stomach problems. Therefore, the two people with stomach problems often urged each other to eat or nourish the stomach.
In recent years, due to Adrianâs diet, Stella had convinced herself that her stomach was better than before.
Tristan, however, was different.... He still often had stomach problems.
Perhaps because they had been away from each other for so long, neither of them forgot to urge the other to eat properly.
Besides, he had put too much energy into his medical career. Over the years, he had treated many people, but often neglected himself.
Tristan picked up the plates Stella handed him and felt something indescribable in his heart. A smile appeared at the corner of his lips as he said, âStella, itâs been so long since youâve cared about me!â.
Stella lowered her head, embarrassed. Only then did she realize... Was she being too considerate?
She just wanted this man to eat, so she served him some food. Wasnât that being too considerate?
However, come to think of it, Tristan had just served her food and she was just returning the gesture. There was nothing wrong with that, he thought.
âYou should eat.â
Stella said nothing and merely lowered her head awkwardly. However, in the eyes of the others, like Tristan.... She had lowered her head, and the soft, yellow light fell on her face, making her look shy.
But good things donât last long. Whatever she did, she had the feeling that someone was watching her the whole time. It was like waiting for a missile to land.
Every time she raised her head, her eyes easily met those of the person sitting behind Tristan. When their eyes met again, Stella saw that the light in his eyes was frighteningly deep!
It was as if he was about to judge her at any moment. This scared her so much that it made her hair stand on end. She felt something was wrong. What did this man want?
She was just eating during her lunch break. Why did he have to come and observe her in her daily life?
Stella couldnât look away. Even if she tried, she had the feeling that someone was watching her all the time.
Tristan was quick to finish the food from the plate Stella had personally served him.
Stella didnât want to stay in the restaurant any longer. She was quick to say, âBrother Tristan, I have to get back to the office.â
She felt that if she stayed in the restaurant for one more second, there might be a problem with her safety.
What if the man became sad and decided to do something to him? Tristan also stood up and said, âIâll go with you!â.
Stella did not refuse. After all, they had left the company together. Besides, if she turned down his offer, it might look like she was giving things too much thought.
They had known each other for a long time. Something like accompanying her didnât seem like much. From childhood to adulthood, this man had always taken care of her. He had even sent her to school, starting in kindergarten.
Back then, when the chauffeur drove Tristan to elementary school every day, he would ask him to drop Stella off at daycare first.
Over the years, from Stellaâs kindergarten days through elementary school, high school, junior high and college, everything had been organized by this man.
So, over time, Stella had grown accustomed to what he was doing for her. She didnât refuse when Tristan offered to walk her back to the company. After all, it was only a five-minute walk.
The two left the restaurant and, within five minutes, arrived at the companyâs entrance.
As Stella was about to thank him, Tristan said, âStella, can I invite you and Adrian over for dinner tonight?â
Stella had no plans to tell the Richard family about Adrian. However, since this man had already found out, she couldnât help herself. But she still declined, saying, âNo need. Adrian wants to watch cartoons tonight. Letâs skip it.â
Stella made up an excuse on the spot.
After all, she was still resisting Tristanâs feelings for her. Just as Isabella had said....
Although there was no blood relationship between them, he was still his older brother in terms of family ties. The Richard family could not afford to lose face.
Seeing Stellaâs refusal, Tristan smiled faintly and said, âThen Iâll ask Adrian to see if he has time to go out with me for dinner.â
Stella was speechless â since when did everyone know her precious sonâs phone number? It had only been a few days since she had gotten his number.
When did Tristan get it too?
Stella cursed her son. She had bought him a phone so that it would be easier to contact him at any time. Who had told her to spread his phone number around like that?
But that wasnât the main point. The main point was that he didnât give it to just anyone, but to those two men!
When she thought about this, she felt dread. What if those two men asked Adrian out alone when she wasnât ready? She wouldnât know what to do in that situation.
Stella forced a smile and replied, âLetâs do it tonight.... I remember Adrian wants to watch cartoons tomorrow.â
If Adrian and Tristan were going out alone... a big one, a small one and worried about both of them. So after thinking about it, she decided to forget about it and just go with him tonight!
