Chapter 426
Love After Divorce by BELLA
Chapter 426:
When they got home, Stella shared the news with Emily, her good friend. âWhat? Youâre going to marry RK again?â Emily looked at Stella in disbelief.
Stella nodded and said in a warm, serious tone, âI want to give Adrian a complete home so that he will have more love and a better life.â
After all, Adrian was the innocent victim of her relationship with RK. She didnât want her precious son to be involved in adult affairs. Besides, Adrian hadnât experienced a fatherâs love since he was born.
In this way, Stella didnât want her son to live a life without a father anymore.
Emily nodded. âMy godson should have a father.â
Emily had always been very supportive of Stellaâs choices. âEspecially since he is Adrianâs biological father.â Emily approved of RK wholeheartedly.
Even though the two of them had suffered a lot in the past and experienced many challenges, now that the misunderstandings had been resolved, it would be best for them to reunite. âThatâs fine,â Emily said again. âSince itâs so hard for you to be together again this time, donât separate again.â
âYes, I know...â Stella lowered her eyes and nodded.
At the Kindergarten Stella made an appointment with RK to pick up her precious son from school.
âDarling, I am here!â
When Stella arrived to pick up the little fellow after school, she heard Adrian calling her from a distance.
1@ŧâ¬Åâ ¢ÑâþŧêÑ$ Ãи galí·ovels.í¬om The chubby little figure ran to her with his small school bag on his back. He hugged Stellaâs thigh, raised his little head, and chastised her, âDarling, you are five minutes late today...â
To be honest, Stella had always known that Adrian was a child without a sense of security. Although he was usually very independent and much more mature than other children his age, in terms of family affection...
The little fellow was still very anxious and afraid of losing his parents. At the end of the day, everyone hoped to have a complete home, and Adrian was no exception. âAdrian, I was wrong today. I will come to pick you up early in the future, okay?â Stella took Adrianâs hand and was about to head back.
âWell, darling, you should keep your word.â Adrian smiled up at Stella, his eyes narrowed into a line, warming her heart. At that moment, RK slowly walked up to them. âI will take you back.â
From a distance, the picture of the family of three was surprisingly harmonious.
âAt one oâclock tomorrow afternoon, letâs try on the wedding dress.â
Before they went upstairs, RK spoke up.
Those words lingered in Stellaâs mind. It could be said that this was the first time she had gotten married. The last time she got married, she was merely marrying a man in place of someone else. Now, she was going to marry RK.
âDarling, what are you laughing at? I called you a few times, but you didnât react.â Adrian rubbed her head with one hand, looking at Stella intently.
âDarling!â Adrian pushed Stella playfully, bringing her back to reality. âWhat are you doing, Adrian? Hasnât your godmother finished your cooking yet?â
âAlright, alright, all of you are close. You dare to bully an outsider like me.â Although Emily complained, her hands were quick.
âHere is a chicken drumstick for you. I treat you so well.â
âThe weather doesnât look good today.â Stella looked up at the sky. âIt looks like itâs going to rain.â
She had already asked Emily to help pick up Adrian and had cleared her entire afternoon for RK. She belonged to him. At least, she thought she belonged to RK now, and he naturally belonged to her too...
On the Other Side RK had already set off, a faint smile playing at the corners of his mouth. He glanced at the gift beside the seat, and a deep light shone in his eyes.
When the call went through, RK looked at the caller ID with a slight frown. He pressed the speaker headset that he had already put on. As soon as the call connected, there was a burst of noise... Bang!
At five oâclock in the afternoon, RK still hadnât shown up on time. Stella sat on the bench alone, gazing into the distance quietly.
She held her phone but didnât dare to call him. She dialed his number but then stopped herself, a sense of powerlessness welling up in her heart. Perhaps, it was because they once had a broken relationship that made her hesitant about the wedding...
She had been waiting outside for four hours, but she didnât see him at all.
Perhaps he had broken off the engagement?
Or perhaps...
In short, Stella felt uneasy. It took her a lot of effort to gather the courage to make a phone call...
As soon as she dialed the number, she heard someone hang up.
Did that man regret it? Had he been lying to her all these days? Did he not intend to take care of Adrian and provide him with a complete home?
Ring...
Her phone rang.
Emily called. Stella picked up her phone and glanced at the screen, thinking it was RK.
âWhatâs wrong, Emily?â
âDear, are you coming back for dinner? But I think you two should go out for a candlelight dinner. It will be so romantic.â
As Emily spoke, she didnât notice something was wrong with Stella.
Stella calmly replied, âHe didnât come.â
