Chapter 394
Love After Divorce by BELLA
Chapter 394:
After resting for a while, Violet saw that Stella had almost recovered, so she took her to buy lunch and then sent her home.
âSince youâre ill this time, it will give you more time to spend with Adrian.
Let this kid forget about his mother while heâs away. I will call RK right away and ask him to send Adrian over. It will also give you and RK some time together to rekindle your feelings.â Violet smiled with excitement.
âI have a cold, and Adrian might catch it,â Stella replied feebly.
âDonât worry; as your âdaughter-in-law,â I know Adrianâs health best. He certainly wonât catch a cold.â Violet was full of confidence.
âWhatâs more, this is just an ordinary fever. Who can a fever affect?â
With a look of certainty on her face, Violet happily took Stellaâs phone and called RK.
âHello.â After the call connected, Violet recognized RKâs usual tone.
âHey, is this RK? Iâm Stellaâs friend. Sheâs ill and has a fever, and itâs serious. Sheâs unconscious right now. Could you bring Adrian to see her if you have time?â
Perfect! Violet silently gave herself a score of 10 in her heart.
âSheâs sick? How could she be sick? Did she go to the hospital?â It was evident that RK was nervous. âCan she answer the phone now? Please let her speak.â
With a sly look on her face, Violet handed the phone to Stella. âStella, why didnât you tell me you were sick?â RKâs tone was full of displeasure.
âItâs okay. I just caught a cold. Itâs not a big deal.â
âWhy do you say itâs not a big deal? Have you gone to the hospital for an infusion? What did the doctor say?â
Stella was speechless. Shouldnât this kind of concern be touching? Since when did she have such a tendency to feel tortured?
LⱯtÑÑÏ cнαÏÏÑrs ιn gí¶líovÑlÑ.í¸íí âYes, the doctor said I should get another drip again tomorrow,â Stella replied honestly.
âDonât make breakfast when you get up tomorrow morning, and donât move around at home. Just wait for me obediently.â
âAh? You donât have to do that. Itâs not a big deal.â Besides, if she were to ask the president of a big company to accompany her to get an IV drip, she would feel a bit embarrassed.
âIf I come to your house tomorrow and youâre not home, or if you donât wait for me obediently, you will have to face the consequences.â
With that, RK hung up the phone.
Stella held her phone and looked at Violet, speechless. The latterâs face was full of excitement, as if she had expected this outcome. Great! In that case, she wouldnât have to go to the hospital with Stella the next day. There was no doubt that Violet was overjoyed. Stella looked at her with an unhappy expression.
âWill it be boring and painful for you to wait with me while I get an IV drip?â
âNo, thatâs not it at all. How could that be?â Violet smiled obsequiously. âIsnât this RKâs domineering way? Iâm happy for you.â
âHmph.â Stellaâs face was full of disbelief.
Violet had purposely taken the day off that morning. When Stella was about to go to bed, Violet left. Lying in bed, Stella felt that Violet must have encountered something at the hospital or seen someone she shouldnât have.
Otherwise, her behavior wouldnât have been like that. However, since Violet didnât want to say anything, Stella wouldnât force her.
Let nature take its course...
When Violet got home, she was exhausted and collapsed onto the sofa.
She had always thought that Willy would never appear in front of her again. She believed she had moved on from everything in the past, but whenever she heard his name and knew he was nearby, her heart would spiral into confusion, and she didnât know how to deal with it.
What should she do? What could she do to completely remove him from her life?
Initially, she had always believed that she was an invincible person who could create something from nothing. When challenges arose, she never needed to rely on others. She could handle everything by herself.
Thatâs why her parents had trusted her since she was a child. They believed she was a good girl who was independent and resourceful. They supported her in whatever she did but never intervened in her affairs. They wanted her to be self-reliant, and she had indeed become such a person. If she encountered any problems, she would never be at a loss.
Unfortunately, since she met Willy, he had taken over her burdens, provided her with someone to lean on, and made her feel warmth.
She had relied on him and trusted him, genuinely believing they could be happy together for the rest of their lives. She had thought it was her fortune to be able to share her life with him, which felt like a blessing. Unexpectedly, that fortune, that blessing, ultimately slipped away from her.
At that time, he had said he wanted to break up with her. She held back her tears and asked him why, hoping he was just playing a prank and that he would smile and say, âI was just trying to scare you.â But he didnât. He said nothing, only âsorry.â
âDonât say sorry to me. An apology can only bring you peace of mind, not my relief,â she had said at that time. âI wonât forgive you. I will hate you forever.â
In that moment, she was consumed by anger.
