Chapter 263

Love After Divorce by BELLA

Chapter 263:

“Adrian, considering how naughty you are, you should also be filial to your Darling. It must have been so difficult for her to give birth to you,” Emily said, unwilling to back down. How could she be outdone by a little kid?

“Of course! I want to spend my whole life protecting and taking care of Darling,” Adrian declared confidently.

Stella was both amused and touched. Where did this little guy learn these lines? Why did they sound so awkward, almost like a confession?

“Hmph! At least you have some conscience,” Emily admitted, finding Adrian’s words surprisingly pleasant to hear, so she didn’t argue any further.

“Okay, okay, Adrian, eat first. Emily, come out with me for a minute,” Stella said, leading Emily out of the ward. As soon as the door closed, Emily couldn’t help but grumble. “Well, Stella, how dare you sneak out of the hospital behind my back? Didn’t I tell you that with Adrian’s godmother around, everything would be fine? Why don’t you believe me?”

“No, it’s not that I don’t believe you. I just don’t want to lie in bed anymore. Don’t I look fine now? I’m alright, see?” Stella spun around in front of Emily, showing she was well.

“Alright, alright, stop showing off.” Emily pulled her closer. “But what are you going to do about the custody issue?”

“I don’t know,” Stella said, her face growing serious. “But I’ll never let RK succeed.”

“That damn RK. He’s been acting like a madman at the company recently, implementing all sorts of crazy policies. He’s determined to fight you for Adrian’s custody. What is he thinking? He’s lost it!”

“If I knew what he was thinking, maybe I wouldn’t be so distressed,” Stella sighed, glancing up at the ceiling. “When will that man finally let Adrian and me go, and leave us alone?”

“You’re right. How many kids does RK want with Sophia? Why does he have to take Adrian away from you?” Emily remarked.

Stella shook her head. “Who knows? He’s not normal.”

“No, no, no,” Emily argued confidently. “In my opinion, he might be trying to reconcile with you.”

“Hmph, like I’m afraid of her!” Emily crossed her arms in a tough stance. “I’ve been the vice president of the Taekwondo club for so many years in college. If she dares to mess with you, she better be ready for me!”

“Hahaha!” Stella couldn’t hold back her laughter. “Don’t exaggerate. Didn’t you get that title by threatening the president’s...

‘chastity’?”

“What nonsense are you talking about? I was just using my wisdom, okay? Besides, who could compete with me when it came to kicks and punches?” Emily said, proud of her college days.

“Yes, yes, you were the best. You even brought honor to the Taekwondo club. Truly the best.” Stella teased, recalling Emily’s wild antics back then.

“Hey, don’t bring up the brave things we did in those days. Don’t forget, you were the one who got drunk and smashed the door of the boys’ dormitory!”

“Hey, you forced me to drink and dragged me there! I thought it was our dorm, and I just knocked on the door because I thought the dorm auntie had fallen asleep again!” Stella argued.

“I don’t know,” Emily retorted, “but I do know you became famous in the boys’ dorm, even the dorm auntie knew who you were!”

“That was an accident!” Stella blushed, continuing to bicker with Emily. “You can’t argue with Adrian, so you come to bully his mother now, huh? If you have the guts, go ask Adrian for help!”

“Well, if you dare to ask him, I’ll tell him you snuck out of the hospital!” Emily threatened, her eyes gleaming mischievously.

“Enough, you’re on a roll today, aren’t you? Back in college, I thought you had caused enough trouble,” Stella said helplessly.

“No way. I’m a talented woman, and I always use my words to defeat people. I didn’t expect your college life to be so... colorful,”

Emily said with a smirk.

Just then, a familiar voice echoed down the corridor. “I didn’t expect your college life to be so wonderful.”

Emily instantly lost her swagger and panicked, quickly trying to recall if she’d said anything too inappropriate. Oh no, had she insulted RK? She might have... maybe a few times...

It’s over, she thought. Did he hear everything?
