Chapter 252
Love After Divorce by BELLA
Chapter 252:
Thinking about the start of the new semester, Kelly felt an unexpected wave of excitement. After all, she and Stella had only seen each other a handful of times during the summer vacation. And even then, both times had ended poorly.
Once, Stella was taken away at the KTV, and the second time, during horseback riding at the RK mansion, the day had also ended badly.
Because of this, Kelly was eager for the upcoming semester, hoping things would be different this time. In the past, when they were in college, they had done everything together.
It was only then that Stella realized there were just a few days left before college started. She hadnât paid attention to time passing as she had been confined to the RK mansion every day, recovering from her leg injury.
Surprisingly, in the blink of an eye, two months had passed. Although she had thought time would crawl by while being stuck in the mansion, now that college was about to begin, she realized it had flown.
When college resumed, she wouldnât see RK as often, right?
In the past, when she was in college, she rarely saw himâmaybe three or four times a semester at most. After classes ended each day, she would only go back to the RK mansion occasionally to grab clothes or stay for the weekend.
Even during those rare visits, she never saw RK. It always seemed like she was the only one living there, and it felt as though the president had forgotten about the mansion entirely.
âStella, are you free today? Letâs go to the bookstore and take a look around! By the way, we can also buy some stationery. Most importantly... we can grab something to eat!â Kelly suggested enthusiastically.
Stella hesitated for a moment, then asked, âAre we really going to the bookstore this time?â
The last time Kelly had invited her to go to the bookstore, it was just supposed to be the two of them. But instead, she ended up being dragged to the KTV, and that night had ended in disaster.
In the end, Stella was caught by RK, and she hadnât been able to leave the mansion all summer because of it. All thanks to Kelly!

Thinking about it made Stellaâs head hurt.
On the other end, Kelly promised repeatedly, âStella, I swear, weâre really going to the bookstore this time! I promise itâs just the two of us. Donât worry, Iâm not inviting anyone else.â
Kelly continued, âIf Iâm lying, and you find out I invited someone else, you can leave immediately! I wonât stop you!â she said sincerely.
Stella rubbed her forehead and sighed. âBut... I donât even know if Iâm allowed to go out...â
She hadnât left the house in what felt like forever. She didnât know if RK would let her go out or not. He hadnât returned home once in the past month and hadnât asked about her. For the past month, they had lived as strangers.
Anyone who didnât know them would think they were a couple in the middle of a cold war, not husband and wife.
âHuh?â
Kelly was shocked. âItâs almost the start of college! You still canât go out? How long has he kept you locked up like this? The summer vacation is almost over!â Kelly started ranting.
Stella knew that the staff was only taking care of her foot. Previously, she hadnât been able to leave because of her injury, but now that college was starting soon, she wasnât sure if she was allowed to go out yet.
âKelly, how about this? Iâll try to go out later, and if I manage, Iâll let you know so we can meet up,â Stella suggested.
After all, it was almost the end of summer break. She wanted to enjoy the last few days and take the opportunity to go out and do something.
Kelly had no choice but to agree. âAlright then, hurry and get ready! Let me know when you leave!â
âOkay, I got it!â
After ending the call, Stella quickly changed clothes, not bothering with too much makeup.
However, as soon as she stepped out of the bedroom, she bumped into a servant who was about to bring her afternoon tea.
âMiss Richard, where... are you going?â
The servant looked her up and down, noticing Stella was already dressed and had a bag on her back. It was obvious she was about to go out.
Stella replied awkwardly, âIâm going to the bookstore with a friend. Iâll be back before dinner.â
âThe bookstore again?â The servant asked, looking at her suspiciously.
The last time Stella had slipped away, she had said she was going to the bookstore too. Now she was using the same excuse. It was like the story of the boy who cried wolf.
Clearly, the servant was full of doubt, and Stellaâs credibility was now in question.
âIâm really going to the bookstore this time! Itâs the truth!â Stella defended herself.
Even if she didnât go to the bookstore, she wasnât about to let herself stay trapped indoors forever!
Anyone watching from the outside would think she was a prisoner. And even prisoners were allowed to go outside for activities!
She was so frustrated by her situation.
