chapter 3

     The girl tore the page she was writing on while Aarushi took out her phone randomly opening and closing apps trying to hide the disgust on her face. " Here. For you. Thank you.", the girl suddenly spoke up as she held out a paper probably the one she tore out now in front of Aarushi who only looked at her confused. The girl  passed her a faint smile gesturing her to take it. Aarushi nervously grabbed the sheet looking at it curiously while the girl packed her own bag. A small smile crept on her face unknowingly. The girl left without further words and Aarushi just sat there with parted lips as she wished to praise or perhaps thank the girl.      She sighed as she realised the girl had left without turning back even once. She once again smiled at the her sketch drawn with pen . It was a quick one but looked so beautiful. It was a side view of hers while writing . She was about to place it in her book when her eyes fell at the door as she saw the girl return with an annoyed look. " Guess I am having a bad day.", she said as she settled besides Aarushi throwing her only book on the desk. Aarushi was about to question but she saw the next proffessor walk in shortly after her. It wasn't difficult to interpret the situation. She couldn't help but giggle lightly which just earned her an amused look from the one besides her.        The proffessor begun with the lecture and Aarushi got back to her work of making notes. She was writing when she felt a hand snatch the pen from within her fingers and she looked at the girl besides with a stern look. Surprisingly that didn't bother the one engrossed in her sketching. She didn't want unnecessary drama so she just took another pen and continued writing. She felt the other nudge her on her arm and so she looked at her. The girl just shifted her notebook towards Aarushi letting her have a look at her work.      " Why-", Aarushi's's reaction was suppressed by the other immediately reaching out to shut her mouth. Her eyes threatened the other to hold back and Aarushi assuring her , appologised immediately lowering her voice. She once looked at the funny sketch with unrealistic exaggerated details . She couldn't help but giggle at it. She wasn't supportive of such stuff but somehow found it funny. Her reaction earned a satisfied smile from the proud artist. She didn't say anything but went back to paying attention while the other continued decorating her masterpiece.       " So that's all for today. ", the proffessor ended his lecture and rushed out 5 minutes earlier. Aarushi looked at the girl who didn't even get up this time but simply took out her phone scrolling through it. " Doesn't look like I have any chance of escaping today. May as well get my attendance settled.", she responded as if had guessed the question in her mind. She placed her phone back in as the next proffessor showed up. Aarushi merely smiled at her words. " What a strength indeed. Just do what you all are here for and you can leave. Next lecture is cancelled.", the proffessor said and a low cheer echoed in the almost empty room.     " Atleast universe shows some mercy. ", the girl mumbled as she played with the pen . Aarushi too packed her bag and kept only a pen in hand. The attendance register reached her she signed it and passed to the girl besides . " How many days are you even signing for?", Aarushi asked as she realised the other was taking her own sweet time while the proffessor was least bothered considering how he didn't even look up once from his phone screen. " How many days was I absent?", she asked with a mischievous grin.        " I - I don't know. I never saw you before. ", Aarushi blurted out thinking of it as a question that needed to be answered. The girl looked up at her with the most amused look. " Never ?", she asked and Aarushi shook her head negatively. " Am I that unpopular?", she sounded a bit offended this time. Poor girl went silent at that. She wasn't entirely lying the other barely sat for lectures but it didn't mean she hadn't seen her during practicals  or had came across some of the gossips going on about her. Not her fault  her looks kept upto to the rumours as she too had herself never failed to notice her presence ." So you must not be knowing my name as well. And I thought you did. Sorry . It's Vibhavari , you can call me Vibha ." , she introduced while Aarushi just smiled and complimented " That's a beautiful name." " Thank you. " Though she was expecting some fancy name like Kiara or Tiya perhaps, the one she heard actually made her compliment.         " Don't worry. I know your name. You can feel special. Just like you said you never saw me before. That's because I rarely attend and still I know you.", she boasted as if were knowing some top secret of the most wanted research. Aarushi faked a smile at that. She passed the register behind , returned the pen to Aarushi and stood up . " Byee . ", Passing a smile she  walked out . Aarushi chose to  wave though the girl hadn't waited for her response.     " Woah- look at your luck -", ----------------------------------------------Note: Since the name is too big for me to type all the time so even I would be using Vibha only instead of Vibhavari.      Â
