Dimly lit room with floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing a panoramic view of the cityscape. Haider, well-dressed and charismatic, paces the room anxiously. His closest friend Ayaan, a seasoned mobster, a trusted confidant, sits facing him at an opulent round table.

"  I've received news that requires me to leave the country for a while. A business engagement overseas that I cannot postpone " Haider announced, annoyed ,for the first time in his life , he has no intention of him leaving because of the innocent girl who captured his heart in a blink .

Zoaib and Ayyan exchange worried glances, immediately understanding the gravity of the situation.

" I will make arrangements " Zoaib stood up .

Haider nodded allowing…

As I boarded the private jet, the weight of my position as the leader of the world-renowned mafia organisation burdened my mind. My steps had always been calculated, my decisions strategic, and my emotions shielded beneath layers of cunning. But today felt different. Today, I was leaving behind someone who had, perhaps unknowingly, shattered those layers to reach my deeply suppressed heart.

She was our maid, a mere presence in the sprawling estate that served as a covert safehouse for my operations. Her name was Aamal– a woman with eyes like emeralds, radiating an innocence and warmth that could melt even the coldest of hearts. From the moment she stepped foot in my household, I found myself inexplicably drawn to her. I tried my best to hide it…..I almost did that's why I wanted to leave her in that house and bride of the men to help her escape so that she doesn't break the wall I have build in years but damn my faith , she stumbled upon me again….I cannot help but want to make her mine .

Aamal was cloaked in an aura of obliviousness, unaware of the kind of power I commanded or the darkness that swirled around me. She saw only a man who made decisions, one who possessed immense wealth and influence. She went about her work diligently, her gentle presence captivating the entire infrastructure of my operation, my heart included.

As I settled into my first-class seat, staring out at the clouds below, I couldn't help but replay every stolen moment and fluttering heartbeat. Our interactions, though seemingly insignificant, remained vivid in my mind like cherished memories. Her graceful hands setting a tray before me, her timid smile when our eyes met, the subtle brush of her elbow grazing mine during a crowded hallway – these were the moments that would forever torment me while I was away.

But Aamal remained oblivious to the depths of my affection. To her, I was merely her bad Mafia bound by a complex web of shadows and danger. How could I reveal that behind the facade of my position, I was desperate to possess much more than just her services?

As the jet ascended further into the sky, I made a vow to myself – a vow that after I go back home . I will ask her to marry me. I know she is a practising Muslim and won't let me touch her without bonding into a sacred relationship like marriage though I don't believe in it but for her I will do anything…..I lean on my seat more I just can't wait to go back .

The living room is dimly lit, adorned with the remnants of a tumultuous life.

My's fingertips nervously ran on the edges of an old books revealing  Suddenly, the front door creaks open, and Zoaib, enters with a mixed expression of happiness and respect.

" Well, well, well, Aamal The day has come—the day your punishment is over " he spoke happily .

I Looks up, my gaze meeting  his happy stare.

" You are not lying" I stood up hurriedly in disbelief .

He takes a step closer, his voice dripping with a mixture of admiration and intimidation.

" I am serious …. today is one year of your completed and now as we promise you are free to leave but tell your brother never mess with us again '' there was a warning in the end .

My eyes glisten with happiness …

" Thank you….thank you so much " I cried . For the first time in this house I felt like I am breathing again…

As I stood at the entrance of the imposing Mafia mansion, preparing to finally leave behind the treacherous walls that had held me captive for far too long, I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. The weight of my experiences, the fear and suffering I had endured, were now about to be overshadowed by the sweet anticipation of returning to the life I once knew - the life of an innocent maid, untouched by the darkness that had consumed this place.

Gone were the days where I had naively accepted the invitation to serve the most influential and dangerous figures in the underworld. Innocence, it seems, can be easily stained by the corrupting forces of the world. The glimmering chandeliers that once elicited awe from me now held a sinister glare, their reflections tainted with the shadowy secrets they bore witness to.

My heart raced with both anxiety and hope as I walked down the marble floors one last time, each step echoing in the cavernous hallways that were like a labyrinth of complications and questionable loyalties. The memories etched into these walls, like silent witnesses of my struggle, seemed to whisper cautionary tales that begged me to leave them behind.

As I passed the grand staircase, adorned with intricately carved banisters, I couldn't help but remember the night when it had become an inferno of violence and discord. I had hidden away, my heart pounding, as bullets pierced the air, claiming the lives of those who had thoughtlessly embraced this treacherous lifestyle. I had witnessed horrors I never wished to see, and yet, through sheer luck or divine intervention, I had somehow managed to escape their clutches.

Finally, I reached the door that would be my portal to freedom. The golden handle, no longer mocking me with its gilded extravagance, felt cool under my trembling fingers. As I turned it, the door creaked open, as though whispering goodbye to the life it had kept locked away. I stepped onto the threshold, breathless with anticipation, and the balmy evening air caressed my face like a wistful embrace.

The world outside, once ordinary and unremarkable, now seemed an oasis of unimaginable beauty. The rustling leaves, the soft sounds of nature, and the muted colors of the sunset painted a picture of serenity I had forgotten existed. Tears pricked at my eyes, blurring the line between release and sorrow.

Walking away from the Mafia mansion that had been my prison, I realized that my innocence had been lost forever. The memories, scars etched into my soul, would forever serve as a haunting reminder of the darkness I had witnessed. But as I walked further away, I also realized that strength, resilience, and the determination to reclaim one's life are the greatest weapons one can possess.

With renewed purpose and a heart that carried both pain and hope, I set forth towards a future unknown. The echoes of that haunted mansion, once a symbol of fear, now resonated within me as a testament to my survival. I would forever walk in the shadows of that past, but it would not define me. From that day forward, I vowed to embrace my newfound freedom, cherishing every mundane detail and cherishing the simple joy of being an innocent once more.
