"She's a fox, I am gonna call her." Jake was sitting in Ian's office, examining documents that Ian kept handing to him intermittently.

Ian had arrived at work unusually late after having a bizarre night post his departure from the club. His head was still aching and his mood was all over the place. What was bothering him was the girl Jake had introduced him to last night. He had felt something strange pass between them, it was as if the moment she had looked at him was the moment the world had stood still for a little while. He had seen her positively shaken from the experience, he himself had felt unsettled in that moment. He had never, in his life, experienced something like this. He had been around plenty of women in his lifetime and he had seen them be rattled by his presence, but he had never been on the receiving end of this kind of a stir. He had felt very alive in that moment and now he wanted to get rid of thoughts of the strangeness that was last night and focus on work, but here was his friend, adamant on talking about things he wished to forget.

"You sure about her?" Ian asked Jake, trying hard not to sound concerned, but he feared his irritation might be obvious anyway.

"Why? You saw her, isn't she cute? She is really sweet, Ian. We had a nice little chat. Can't believe I am so into her after a chance meeting!" Jake was surprised at his own reaction to Tara. He seldom felt so strongly about women. For him they were mere playthings, amusements.

His vehemence in the matter surprised even Ian, his friend was not the one to take such meetings seriously, but here he was gushing about the girl. Yes, the girl. Tara, was it? Ian mused to himself. A beautiful name, for an exotic girl. Even Ian couldn't deny she was a beauty, he had only just laid eyes on her and he couldn't stop thinking about her. With her jet-black hair, green, doe-eyes and heart-shaped lips, she could make any logical man lose reason! What had she done at the club, drugged their drinks or something? He kept thinking back to her reserved 'hi', her slight nervousness (he didn't know what to attribute it to) and her beautiful smile.

"Tread carefully, Jake." Ian warned him. For some reason, Ian wished his friend wouldn't pursue this girl.

"Come on, man. Don't be a buzzkill! I am gonna call her...'k?" Jake replied completely dismissing Ian's cautionary remark.

Ian put his hands up and decided not to comment on this matter any further, "Your life, your choices!"

"Attaboy!" Jake smirked and dialed Tara's number.
