twenty eight

this is a double update so make sure you've read chapter twenty seven!

billie grabs a key from behind the desk and I follow her upstairs and into studio two.

she unlocks the door and we step inside.

she walks over to the wall in the corner and pushes against the padding on the wall and it clicks.

what is she doing?

"my grandad built this for my dad and my dad gave this to me"

billie pulls the wall and it opens like a door.

she uses the key to unlock something and another door is opened.

"my little safe place, come on"

billie grabs my hand and flicks the lights on and I hold in my gasp when I step inside.

the lights are bright red and it's covered in blankets and throw pillows and LV printed fabric all over the walls.

this shit is so cool.

"luckily, there's some food in here so we won't starve to death"

that's not really what I thought id be eating.

"you can't ever tell anyone about this place, not even kai. finneas knows about it, we used to come in here when we were kids but he's not been in here for years, no-one but me has"

"I promise I won't tell anyone"

billie moves one of the curtains back and it looks like theres a bed.

oh my god.

billie kicks her shoes off, throwing her bag down and I follow suit, not wanting to do anything billie wouldn't want.

"this place is so beautiful"

"sometimes I come up here in the middle of the night just to be in my little small space alone because no-one can hurt me in here"

billie grabs my hand and we fall back on the bed in here side by side.

it hits me that we're actually on a bed right now.

"you haven't had sex in here..right?"

"no" billie laughs, turning to face me "but that might change"

I shove her shoulder and mutter a 'fuck off' and billie laughs out loud.

after a few moments of silence, billie sits up and pulls her hoodie off.

oh so we're getting naked already?

"im not getting naked or anything so don't panic"

I wasn't even panicking.

"im not sleeping in my shoes and my sweatpants so im still gonna have a big shirt on, okay? you wear whatever you want"

we're really doing this.

I kick off my shoes and asses what im wearing.

as billie slips her sweatpants down her legs my blood rushes straight down.

to distract myself I turn around and remove my itchy tights so im left in a sweatshirt and a mini skirt.

there's no way im taking my jumper off in-front of her.

"I can't tell if you're looking at me like you're scared of me or you're gonna jump me"

I laugh nervously, sitting back down. "im not sure myself, probably both"

billie lies down and I do the same so we're lead down facing one another.

"im scared"

"why are you scared baby? it's just me"

that's why im scared!

"because I like you, I want this but I don't want to ruin what we have. what if tonight goes wrong?"

billie tucks a strand of hair behind my ear. "im scared too"

"you are?"

"of course. I like you way too much to ruin anything either. im scared that once you get to know the real me, you're going to realise you could do so much better and break my heart"

"when I first came to town, there was someone else" I admit.

"really?"

"yeah. I guess you could say when you think you know someone, it turns out you didn't really know them at all. but I don't think the problem was them, I think it was myself"

"im confused here princess"

"it doesn't matter" I shake my head. "what im trying to say is before I moved here, I didn't know much about myself and I didn't know I'd fall for you. but I did"

billie traces her finger along the side of my face. "you fell for me, huh?"

I lift up my hand in-front of us and hold up my thumb and finger, measuring a small amount. "maybe this much"

"is that it? i guess im gonna have to try a little harder" billie moves my hand and leans in.

but she doesn't kiss me, just leaving her lips so close that I can feel her breath on my own but not touching.

fucking tease.

I close my eyes.

"if I put my hand here-" her fingers slide under my jumper and over my stomach.

it's amazing for about two seconds but then her finger inch too close to my off-limit area and I flinch back, pulling her hand away.

she can't touch my scar.

billie pulls back when she feels me tense. "hey hey-"

"no no it's not you" I say quickly not want ing to ruin the night. "its not you so don't take it personally...just uh not there...maybe-"

I grab onto her hand and move it onto my inner thigh.

"baby" billie groans and i bite my lip.

"you can keep going" i blow out a breath and keep my eyes on hers.

this is really happening right now.

her fingers slowly trace along my skin and I adjust myself a little.

"oh" she kisses me and I kiss her back just as desperately.

I whimper into her mouth when her fingers trail along my baby blue panties.

her leg is wrapped around my other thigh and she grinds herself into me and there's no mistaking the wetness I feel against my skin.

her lips trail down my neck and I close my eyes. "you better not give me another hickey billie"

billie laughs and moves her hand, rolling on top of me.

"I can give you them in places no-one else will see"

her head dips lower and lower under the blanket until-oh!

unlike our previous moments alone, this definitely isn't anything PG and when billie pleads to touch me, my heart almost stops beating.

it's possibly the most amazing thing that's ever, ever happened.

I return the favour and it's mind-blowing.

it's two in the morning and I can barely keep my eyes open.

I don't care that we're about to fall asleep in here and no-one has rang us back.

im wrapped around billie and as I drift in and out of consciousness, I hear music.

"what's going on?"

"sorry, I can't sleep without listening to music, is it bothering you?"

"it's fine" I snuggle back against her and listen for a few seconds. "is that arlo parks?"

"you know arlo?"

"yeah, someone introduced me to her and I love her"

"me too, I found her by accident. I kinda love that she isn't popular"

how funny.

"maybe you and I have more in common than you think" I say before drifting into sleep.
