Chapter 432

Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)

Chapter 432 Better to Miss Each Other

Cordelia looked at Elijah.

After two years of not seeing each other, this man lost weight.

His eye sockets were deeply hollow, and shadows were under his eyes.

But even so, his face was still extraordinarily handsome and noble.

Overall, it gave Cordelia the feeling that Elijah was suffering from a

severe illness.

"How did you find here?" Cordelia asked indifferently.

"I really shouldn't have come.” Elijah smiled at himself. "I thought that

finding and seeing you would be delightful. I didn't expect..."

He didn't expect the only thing it brought was heartache.

Seeing the brilliant ring on Cordelia’s hand, Elijah felt like a knife was

cutting his heart.

He thought, "Did Cordelia finally choose Eason?"

"Isn't it better to miss each other? In that case, you'd better leave!"

After speaking, Cordelia turned to go in.

Elijah took a big step forward and blocked the door about to close.

Cordelia only glanced back at him and went in without paying more

attention.

Elijah looked at her back and hesitated for a long time, thinking,

"Should I go in? What should I do if I see traces of Eason living here?

Can I bear it?"

With that in mind, Elijah couldn't help but laugh at himself and

continued thinking, "Didn't I just see the scene of them saying goodbye

already? What am I expecting? Everything is settled anyway. Then what

do I have to be afraid of?"

Having done the mental construction, he finally stepped forward

heavily.

Passing through the small yard and arriving in front of the small

bungalow where Cordelia lived, Elijah froze.

He couldn't get in because Cordelia shut him out.

For a moment, Elijah was a little dumbfounded.

He overthought.

He tried knocking on the door, and Cordelia said coldly inside, "Go

away. We should act as if we've never known each other.”

They just hurt each other when they meet. So why bother?

Elijah did want to turn and leave.

However, he waited for two years and finally found Cordelia. How could

he be willing to leave after only meeting her once?

"I'll live in your yard today if you don't open the door!" Elijah said

stubbornly.

"Whatever!" Cordelia snorted coldly and lowered her head to continue

working.

She was busy until nightfall.

Cordelia was ready to cook in the small kitchen built independently in

the yard.

However, as soon as she went out, she saw Elijah sitting on the steps of

her doorway, leaning on the threshold, and falling asleep.

Even though he was still dressed well, his skinny body made him look

particularly pitiful.

Cordelia's heart softened, and she entered the room to get a thin

blanket to cover him.

While covering, Cordelia muttered, "Leaving the comfortable villa and

hotel not to live, you must come to the poor countryside to sleep on

the street. You're a masochist.”

Suddenly, with her neck being hooked, Cordelia's eyes widened.

Immediately afterward, with an unsteady center of gravity, her entire

body fell into Elijah's arms.

After two years of not seeing him, his scent had become fresh and

minty, no longer the light tobacco scent he always carried.

Just then, Elijah's phone rang.

Cordelia hurriedly pushed her away, after which she patted the dirt on

her body and fled directly into the kitchen.

Looking at her back, Elijah could not help but smile. He quickly

regained seriousness and picked up the phone, saying, "What's up?"

"I lost two days of my memory again,” Ben said in a low tone, "I don't

remember how I came to Verdania."

Elijah frowned and said, "Earlier, you said you found Imogen.”

"I found her?" Ben said in a slightly pained tone, "I can't remember. My

head hurts."

"You should come back first. Your current situation is unstable, and it

isn't suitable for you to stay abroad alone.” Elijah suggested.

"Okay, I'll book a flight now," Ben said weakly.
