Chapter 407
Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)
Chapter 407 Are You Done Making a Fuss?
Ben signaled Elijah with his eyes. "Aren't you following them? Maybe
they're going to have some fun.â
"Your mouth should be sewn shut,â Elijah retorted coldly, but he had
already stood up and left.
Ben watched his departing figure, and his lips curved into a smile for
once.
He took a photo of Elijah's back and sent it to Imogen.
After reviewing the entire auction's proceedings in the "live broadcastâ
he had sent to Imogen, he felt nothing was missing, so he put his
phone away.
Then, his phone suddenly vibrated in his hand.
Ben paused and then opened the social media app with a hint of
eagerness. When he saw the bright red "Circle 1" on Imogen's profile
picture, joy surged within him.

Ben's lips curved into a smile, and he immediately got up to follow in
the direction Elijah had left.
Meanwhile, Cordelia wandered casually through the hotel's back
garden. Initially, Eason followed behind her, but after a few steps, he
walked briskly to join her side.
"Cordelia, you shouldn't take those people's words to heart. If they
trouble you, I can post a special announcement to clarify things.â
Eason's tone was sincere, and his words deeply comforted Cordelia.
"No need, Eason. Once you confirm your engagement partner, those
rumors will naturally fade away,â said Cordelia.
Eason frowned. "But it is too unfair for you."
"I'm already used to it."
Cordelia had been beautiful since childhood and had a soft temper, so
she was often the target of such comments, even more malicious ones.
However, Cordelia had already become used to them.
Upon seeing Eason lost in thought, not looking great, as if he was
pretty worried, Cordelia patted his shoulder. "It's alright, Eason. You
don't have to worry about me."
At this time, a person emerged from the shadows, walking towards
them with heavy footsteps.
Every step he took seemed filled with intense emotions.
"It is Elijah," Eason was the first to recognize the approaching person
and informed Cordelia.
Cordelia nodded slightly and was about to turn and leave.
Suddenly, her wrist was firmly gripped, preventing her from moving.
"Cordelia."
Cordelia turned around in astonishment and looked at Elijah.
At this moment, he stood under a street lamp in the garden, his eyes
slightly reddened. He stared intently at Cordeliaâs eyes, saying,
"Cordelia, you said I am the one you love the most!"
However, she was with another man just now, showing affection before
him and completely forgetting about him.
Cordelia frowned. "Elijah, are you done making a fuss?"
It seemed like the tables had turned.
She was now using the exact words Elijah had used on her to question
him.
Not far away, Ben, who had been hiding in the shadow of a tree and
recording the video secretly using night vision, stopped the video
recording with satisfaction and then sent it to Imogen.
Meanwhile, Imogen, who was far away in Grant City, immediately
excitedly opened the message upon hearing the short notification
sound on her phone.
On the side, Adam pursed his lips and grumbled, "Hey! Just a few days
ago, you were in so much pain, and now you've healed, but you seem
to have forgotten the pain. Shouldn't you be more careful?â
Imogen rolled her eyes at him. "Adam, that is enough! Please stop with
your nagging. Come here and see what Eason has done!"
Adam immediately put down his computer, pushed up his rimless
glasses on his nose, and leaned in to look at Imogen's phone.
"Damn it. This is exciting!"
But when he looked closer, he exclaimed, "What the hell? The person
holding Cordelia's hand isn't Eason. It is Elijah."
