Chapter 366

Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)

Chapter 366 He Has Not Succeeded

Feeling the change in Elijah's emotions, Cordelia said, "I have to admit

that I was angry with you when I lived in Eason’s home. After all, I was

angry."

Elijah said unhappily, "I was angry back then, but I calmed down later

and realized your intention.”

"Are you worried about anything else?" Cordelia stared at him closely.

Elijah wanted to say something to Cordelia.

They might remarry and have children. They would get old. However,

he would be worried about Cordelia as long as he was alive and hadn't

closed his eyes.

That had nothing to do with confidence or trust. Elijah was possessive,

though he was trying to restrain himself.

Cordelia had never associated Elijah with being jealous. After all, he was

eye-catching. He shouldn't be that way.

When Elijah kept silent, Cordelia took him back to the bedroom. "Go to

sleep. It's getting late. I'll go..."

"No, I want you to accompany me." Elijah hugged her, refusing to let

her go.

The romantic atmosphere was disturbed by Eason’s call, and Cordelia

didn't agree to his request for the reunion.

Elijah was depressed.

Although Cordelia did not agree to Elijah's request for the reunion, she

still pampered and tolerated him. It was the only comfort for Elijah.

Elijah had not yet succeeded, so he had to continue to work hard.

The process of pursuing his wife was long and hard.

The next afternoon, Edith asked Cordelia to drink coffee in her villa.

In the past two days, she built a pavilion in the yard.

When Cordelia came in, Edith sat in the pavilion, drinking coffee.

"Cordelia, come here." Edith greeted Cordelia warmly.

Cordelia stepped forward with a smile and sat across from Edith.

Without standing on ceremony, Cordelia picked up an ordinary-looking

snack and tasted it. Then, she nodded.

"Is it delicious? I made it myself."

Cordelia guessed it.

Unexpectedly, Edith, who didn't know how to take care of herself,

started making snacks by herself.

"Edith, how are you lately?”

Edith smiled and said, "I am fine. I just received a gift from Gabe. It was

a life insurance compensation. The insurance company staff also gave

me the love letter he wrote to me.”

Cordelia covered her mouth, and tears welled up in her eyes.

She didn't expect Elijah's father to be so romantic.

Edith kept smiling and looked into the distance with misty eyes. "I will

live well and not let him down."

"By the way, Edith, Mrs. Mia Holland has come to Beilve City. Has Elijah

told you?"

Edith nodded. "I know what Sir Hansen wants to do. Gabe was forced to

death by him. Does he think Elijah and I will care about the Hansen

family?"

"Is Elijah planning to give up the position of host of the Hansen family?"

Cordelia asked.

Edith shook her head. "He didn't say. Cordelia, I know my son. Even if

he is not the host of the Hansen family, he will be outstanding and will

not make you suffer with him.”

Cordelia smiled and did not respond to Edith.

Everything was changing rapidly. Cordelia didn't want to think about

what would happen because it was uncertain.

She just wanted to live a good life and not be a loser as before.

Cordelia“s grandmother had arranged for her a comfortable second half

of her life without worries about food and clothing.

That was Cordelia’s grandmother's wish.

However, her illusions about marriage and relationships ruined her life.

She was depressed all day and her mood swung.

No one or thing should be everything in her life.

Cordelia understood that after what had happened.
