Chapter 351

Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)

Chapter 351 The Show Is On!

For several days, Cordelia almost took the studio as her home, staying

there all the time to catch up on the work that had been left behind.

Because she left Beilve City for a while, the overall performance of the

studio had shown a downward trend, which made her have to reflect on

herself if she became lazy or slacked off.

Fortunately, all the loyal fans are here, waiting for the new designs in

the next season.

This time, Cordelia must not let them down again.

Probably, Elijah didn't find Cordelia when he returned to the Maple

Villa, so he came directly to the studio for her.

Unfortunately, he didn't find Cordelia there again.

Elijah asked her assistant with a dark face, "Won't she bring you along

for social events?"

"Cordelia didn't go out for social events. She made an appointment

with friends for dinner.” The assistant, looking at the handsome but

fierce man, felt scared.

Elijah immediately left Cordelia's studio, got into his car, and called her.

Sure enough, she was with Eason and Adam.

What Cordelia didn't say was that Imogen also came back and that it

was a secret return.

She felt that Elijah and Ben were friends, so while guarding against Ben,

she also had to guard against Elijah.

"Where are you having dinner? I'll pick you up later," Elijah said again.

Helpless, Cordelia lowered her voice and said, “Elijah, you are too

clingy. Let's talk about it later. I have to hang up now."

She rejected him.

Elijah clutched the phone with a serious expression.

"Am I clingy? I haven't seen Cordelia for three days!

She no longer likes me!"

At the thought of this, Elijah felt a strong sense of crisis in his heart.

Especially now, she and Eason were eating at the same table!

He suppressed his irritability and wanted to have a drink with his friend

to drown his sorrows.

So, he called Ben. "Where are you?"

"I am at Fallingmoon Club."

"I am coming.”

In the restaurant, Eason and Imogen left one after another. Looking at

Adam sitting opposite her, Cordelia asked, "Adam, what happened to

Henry? You said you would talk to me in detail when we meet."

Adam knew that Cordelia would ask about it. He looked around, quickly

lowered his voice, and said, "I contacted Henry himself. He said that as

long as you live well, there is no need to meet, and he doesn't want to

reveal his current personal information to you."

What?

Cordelia couldn't understand it at all.

She always felt like it was a bit strange.

If the detective she entrusted hadn't said that Henry was difficult to

investigate, Cordelia would have met him by now.

"Cordelia, since he doesn't want to see you, why don't you just forget

it?" Adam asked tentatively.

Cordelia frowned. "Adam, is he in any trouble?"

Adam scratched his head, feeling somewhat troubled. "He's doing well

now. Perhaps because of that, he doesn't want the past to disrupt his

current life. His wishes should be prioritized and respected.”

Cordelia was silent for a long time before finally saying, "Okay, since

that's the case, I will respect his wishes."

But even so, she was still quite depressed.

Why? Was Henry afraid that she would pester him after she met him?

However, such negative emotions were quickly wiped away by Cordelia.

Everyone had his or her own ideas. Cordelia shouldn't speculate on

others just because things didn't go her way.

So, she silently wished Henry a safe life in her heart instead.

Adam had been secretly observing Cordelia, and when he saw her eyes

gradually changing from complicated to calm, he finally let go of his

worries.

That night, Cordelia took Imogen back to the Maple Villa.

Cordelia took out the trendy clothes she specially designed for the

pregnant Imogen and gave them to her.

Imogen immediately fell in love with them and tried them on one by

one.

"Cordelia, your designed clothes are so fashionable and good-looking!"

"It's all because you have a perfect figure. Everything looks good on

you."

As the two of them were praising each other, Imogen glanced at the

watch. It was nine o'clock.

Her eyes lit up, and Imogen said quickly, "Cordelia, come on. Bring me

my phone. The show is on! It is the most exciting show of the year!"

Cordelia blinked. "Is it about Elissa?"

Imogen smiled mysteriously, rubbing her hands, and said, "I am so

excited!"
