Chapter 304 She Didn't Like Him
"You will always be my friend.â Cordelia smiled, turned around, and
went into the room.
Saying more would make Eason more uncomfortable. Cordelia wanted
to use future actions to let Eason understand that she had never
changed and wouldn't take advantage of the four of them.
No matter how close they were, they should have their own privacy and
personal space.
Besides, Cordelia was used to being alone and didn't want to be tied
up.
Actually, it seemed that only Elijah had made her feel willing to be tied
down.
Unfortunately, this person no longer existed.
Cordelia went back to her room.
Eason sat there blankly. He knew that his confession had failed.
It was the same with confessing early and late. She just had no feelings
for him.
Eason knew he should just be Cordeliaâs friend, which was better than
being rejected by her.
Early the next morning, Cordelia went out for a morning run as usual
and found that Eason had left at some point.
She still ran and bought breakfast as usual without thinking about it too
much.
After coming back from running and having breakfast, Cordelia packed
her luggage and left Eason's apartment.
Just as she was dragging her suitcase and walking in the neighborhood,
she met Mia.
At the sight of Cordelia, Mia immediately greeted her warmly and
invited her to have coffee at home.
Cordelia declined, "Mrs. Mia Holland, I have work to do, and I'll visit you
sometime."
Mia nodded and smiled. "Okay. Then go."
So, Cordelia planned to say goodbye to Mia.
At this moment, Mia suddenly stopped her again.
"Cordelia, did something happen to your boyfriend?" Mia asked
tactfully.
"Maybe. But we have broken up. I don't care about his affairs,â Cordelia
said indifferently.
Mia smiled gently. "It's for the best. The Hansen family is old and
conservative. He is not right for you."
Cordelia vaguely heard something in Mia's words, so she asked
discreetly, "You seem to be familiar with the Hansen family in Beilve
City?"
"Gabe and I are old friends," Mia said expressionlessly.
Cordelia smiled and nodded. "Thank you for your reminder."
Then, Cordelia dragged the suitcase and left.
She took a taxi, went to Jayden's manor, and booked a hotel.
Although the accommodations were average, the hotel was close to
Jayden's place, and she could go there on foot.
After completing the day's treatment, Cordelia did not go to see
Imogen but went back to the hotel to rest and report to Milo on
Jayden's recovery progress.
"Cordelia, I heard that Elijah is really engaged to Clare. Did he explain to
you?" Milo asked unhurriedly.
"No," Cordelia said a little sadly, "Mr. Carter, I have cut ties with him."
Milo suddenly laughed. "Why? Silly girl, don't be angry. Don't turn
against the money!"
Cordelia raised her eyebrows and asked, "What do you mean, Mr.
Carter?"
"Didn't you sell Elijah the formula of Rejuvenation Pill? That guy used
Bloom City as his base to promote Rejuvenation Pill and created a lot of
reputation for us,â Milo said with a smile.
Cordelia naturally understood that Milo did not lack this reputation. He
was happy for Cordelia's popularity in a small area.
"There have been a lot of people who want to see you recently. Because
you are in Grant City, I asked my assistant to postpone it. When your
work in Grant City is over, you can go to Bloom City!" Milo said.
