Chapter 205 Lovely Day

Cordelia had mixed feelings, wondering whether Imogen was happy or

sad.

Suddenly, an impressive sports car pulled up at the roadside and came

to a swift stop beside them.

Elijah, who was dressed in a suit, emerged from the car and rushed over

hurriedly.

"Cordelia, are you okay?"

Cordelia tilted her head in confusion. "Should I not be okay?"

Imogen was equally puzzled.

At that moment, Elissa, accompanied by her assistant and bodyguards,

came out of the restaurant.

She noticed Imogen first and was about to confront her. But when she

saw Elijah by their side, Elissa immediately halted her steps.

Cordelia understood what was happening. Elijah had come to her

rescue

She chuckled and remarked, "I'm fine, though Miss Flores did have her

bodyguards ready to rough me up. Thankfully, those two gentlemen

had a strong sense of justice and refused to comply.”

Elissa's steps grew slower and slower until she almost collapsed on the

spot in fear.

"That bitch actually had the nerve to report me to Elijah!" She muttered

under her breath.

Elijah held Cordelia's shoulder and said, "Since you're unharmed, I'll

begin to let the entire entertainment industry block her tomorrow.”

If Imogen hadn't covered her mouth in time, she might have started

howling by now.

Deep down, she screamed in silence, "Cordelia! Your man is so

protective! You're such a lucky girl!"

Elissa was Imogen’s rival in love, and Imogen had been trying to teach

her a lesson for a long time. However, Ben had always cherished Elissa

and protected her.

And now, Elissa had offended Cordelia. Since Elijah already knew the

situation, Elissa would be blocked by the entire industry in no time.

"Cordelia, let's go have a drink! My treat!" Imogen patted her chest

excitedly.

Today was such a lovely day, and a bit of booze might make it even

better.

Cordelia had no reason to refuse her friend's offer and nodded in

agreement.

Elijah inquired, "Where do you plan to go?"

Imogen named a place on the bar street.

Elijah suggested, "You can go to the Fallingmoon Club. Consider it on

my tab. I'll send you there.”

Cordelia didn't refuse.

This man had been insisting on pursuing her, so she might as well

accept his kindness.

At least for now, he seemed quite sincere. She wondered how long he

would be able to maintain this pursuit.

Imogen, seeing that Cordelia didn't reject Elijah, was overjoyed and

immediately took out her phone and sent a message to Ben.

As soon as he left the booth, Imogen hugged Cordelia tightly and

playfully nuzzled her face against Cordelia’.

"Oh, girl! I might just fall in love with you. How can you be so

charming?"

Cordelia looked puzzled.

However, just then, Elijah returned and witnessed the intimate scene

between the two women.

His expression darkened, and he asked coldly, "Miss Lopez, what is your

sexual orientation?”

Imogen quickly released Cordelia and sat down properly, answering in

a slightly timid tone, "I'm straight. Definitely straight.”

Elijah gave her a meaningful look before turning to Cordelia.

He spoke seriously, "I've encountered an important client who wants to

have a drink together. I'll come pick you up a little later.”

Cordelia replied, "I can go back by myself. You go ahead with your

business.”

Elijah's large hand suddenly covered her head, and he whispered, "Be

good. I'll pick you up.”

Then, his hand slid to the back of her head before he pushed her closer

and kissed her.

Cordelia’s face immediately turned red.

This man not only kissed her but also used his tongue, being rather

seductive.
