06: Ex-boyfriend being a jerk
Heartbroken
Eli walked towards his bike the next day, because he had a feeling that Andrew won't be joining him. He would apologise for his outburst but Andrew needed to apologise too. They were both at fault.
When Eli reached his bike he noticed a paste-it note pasted on his seat.
I'm really sorry. I did NOT mean it. I'm waiting for you across the street. If you forgive me, wave at me. But I understand if you don't want to be friends with me anymore.

Eli didn't know if he should forgive him or not. Andrew was now Eli's only friend. And Eli didn't want to lose him. He was tired being alone. He needed Andrew to be his friend.
So he walked to the street and there was Andrew. Waiting across the street as he had said. He was fidgeting with a pen in his hand, which Eli assumed he used to write that note. He was looking down at his shoes.
So instead of waving at him, Eli shouted.
"Hathaway, get your sorry ass over here."
Andrew jerked his head up and Eli smiled at him. Andrew sighed heavily and combed his hairs with his hand, making it look much more attractive.
He jogged across the street and reached beside Eli. But as soon as he reached he enveloped Eli in a hug. He hugged him tight and mumbled, "I'm so, so sorry. I didn't mean it. I was just...," He stopped.
"An asshole?" Eli suggested and chuckled.
"Yes," Andrew said quietly, "Yes, I was an asshole. I'm sorry for being such a jerk." Eli patted his back.
"It's okay. I forgive you. And I'm sorry too." Andrew nodded, still not letting of Eli. Instead he hugged him tighter.
"Get off or I'll think you're making a move on me." Eli joked.
"Maybe I am." Andrew said and Eli's breath hitched. DID HE JUST SAY THAT OR I IMAGINED IT??
Andrew stepped back and smiled at Eli.
"Come on or else we'll be late to school." He said and started walking. Eli followed.
Maybe I imagined it. Fuck. He thought to himself and facepalmed.

At lunch Eli waited for Andrew, who was nowhere in sight.
He took his phone out and dialled Andrew's number. As he waited for him to pick up, someone came in front him. He looked up to find the person who hated the most standing in front him.
Tyler snatched his phone away from him and smirked.
"Oh, found someone real fast, didn't you?" Eli glared at him and tried take his phone his phone back but couldn't. Tyler is tall and Eli couldn't reach it when he held it up above his head.
"Oh look. He picked up." He said and placed it on his ear. He held Eli away with his other hand.
"Hello." He said and Eli could not hear what Andrew was saying.
"Oh, I'm his ex-boyfriend. And let me tell you dude. This piece of shit is no good. Why do you think I left him? You won't get anything from him. He's pathetic. And you being with him makes you a pathetic idiot too." Tyler said into the phone and Eli boiled with anger. He bit Tyler's hand and Tyler screamed. As Tyler held his hand with his other, Eli's phone fell on the floor. Eli kicked Tyler in his balls. Eli was fuming. He picked his phone up and turned to leave. Everyone was staring at him as he stormed out of the cafeteria. Just as he stepped out of the door, he saw Andrew running towards him.
"Where is that fucknut?" He was panting. Did he run all the way here?
"Don't worry. I took care of it." Eli said and Andrew furrowed his brows. Andrew poked his head in the cafeteria and saw how two guys were helping Tyler up. Andrew looked Eli. He was surprised. He ran all the way here to help Eli. He wanted to beat the hell out of Tyler. But Eli already took care of it. Andrew smiled proudly at Eli who was standing with his arms crossed over his chest.
Tyler and his friends stepped out of the cafeteria. Andrew smirked at Tyler who face was depicting how angry and in pain he was. The boy on his right glanced at Eli and Eli looked away. Andrew had seen that boy. With Eli. Many times. He thought they were friends.
"Let's go out. I'm fucking hungry and I don't wanna go in there." Eli pointed at the cafeteria.
"Okay, let's go the café near by." Andrew said.
"Yes, please." Eli groaned and they walked out of school.
"Where in the world were you, anyway?" Eli asked as he placed his backpack down and sat on his chair.
"On my way to the pool. The coach needed to discuss something." Andrew replied and held his hand up for the waiter. The waiter came and took their orders. Eli ordered a strawberry milkshake and a chocolate cake. He needed sweetness right now.
When the waiter left Eli asked, "About what?" It took a second for Andrew to realise what he was asking.
"Oh, I don't know. I was almost there when I got your call." Andrew said.
"Sorry about that. Tyler was just being an asshole." Eli said and clenced his jaw.
"It's okay. As soon as I heard it's him, I ran as fast as I could. But the pool is pretty far from the cafeteria."
Eli nodded and the waiter arrived with their orders. Eli started stuffing his face with cake. Andrew chuckled.
"Wha, I ee mo whe m angy." [What, I eat more when I'm angry.] Eli said with cake stuffed in his mouth. Andrew laughed harder.
Eli finished his cake pretty fast and Andrew smiled while looking at him. Andrew found Eli quite adorable at that moment. He couldn't help but smile.
Eli leaned back in his seat and took his strawberry shake in his hand. He took a sip and sighed.
"I'm sorry for the stuff Tyler said. He thinks I'm dating you now." Eli glanced at Andrew.
"You shouldn't be sorry," Andrew said, "It's not your fault that he's an asshole." Eli nodded and gave him a small smile.
"Anyway, what happened between you too?" Andrew asked and Eli sighed.
"He wanted more and I wasn't ready." Eli said and looked away.
"That's it?" Andrew pressed.
"You really wanna know?" Eli asked and Andrew nodded
"If you trust me." Andrew said.
Eli stared at him for a second before saying, "I trust you."
Andrew smiled in response.
"Tyler and I dated for about six months," Eli started, "Recently he had been giving me hints that he wanted to take it further. I kept ignoring. I behaved as if I wasn't getting any of his hints. He then asked me straight. And I refused. I told him I was not ready. He got furious and we ended up having an argument. We argued about the same thing again after two days."
Eli stopped and glanced at Andrew to see how he reacts. Andrew stared back at him, waiting for him to continue.
"Then Spence was throwing a party. I didn't want to go. But Tyler insisted. He actually forced me to go with him. His mood was actually great that evening. I didn't know why. But I was glad. At the party...." Eli trailed off. That night was horrible. Just the memory of it made him boil with anger. He was upset and angry about all of it.
"What happened at the party?" Andrew asked.
This party scene is what first came in my mind and then the story framed.
What might have happened? Any guesses?
