chapter 45

Here is the update. I hope I have made you happy by giving it early.

Author's POV.

Vidhyut was in shock for two minutes on what jeevika said. But soon his shock turned into anger and hurt. Anger at how she thinks all this about their relationship. The only thought running in his mind was that she really thought that he loved her just for his physical needs.

And hurt that only for this thing without talking to him she thought to leave him. His love was so weak that just this small thought and she was ready to leave him. But the main thing is how that thought entered her mind.

But he knows that he needs to handle this matter calmly. But how much he tried, he couldn't keep himself calm.  He still asked her as calmly as possible.

“ How did this thought enter your mind?”

When she kept looking at her lap he grab her with her arms and with one hand made her look at him.

“ You better not keep quiet now jeevika. Because I am already controlling myself but if you will keep quiet now then I don't know what I will do.”

“ Vo …. Vo….”

“ Speak jeevika”

Flashback

Jeevika was coming back from the bathroom after cleaning all the cake from her face. Just then she listened someone giggling and speaking,

“ You are so shameless Maan.”

She knows that it's wrong to listen to their conversation without their knowledge. But she couldn't help herself and her legs stopped. When she picked inside she saw that Advika  was sitting on the kitchen slab and Abhimaan was standing between her legs. And Advika was giggling.

“ What I am asking is that you are calling me shameless. I just want a kiss.”

“ Just kiss Maan. You have already kissed me more than three time since evening.”

“ What can I do? You are looking so much that I can't control.”

Saying he was about to kiss but Advika kept her hand between their lips. He groaned in response.

“I am not letting you kiss me. You will ruin my lipstick. Why can't you keep your hands to yourself.”

“ Baby no man who loves women and a husband who loves his wife keeps his hands to himself when he sees his love looking this beautiful.”

He said without realizing that what his one sentence has done has an impact on innocent hearts. the color of Jeevika's face drain thought crossed her mind. Though Vidhyut cared  for her and always kissed and hugged her, did he really love her like this?

“ Fine, don't let me kiss now but ask Maa to keep Rihu with her at night. And let me show you how much I love you.”

“ Maan No I won't, the day before yesterday also Rihu was with her. what will she think?”

“ That how much I love you. Not only do I say this but I also make love and prove it.”

He said and Advika hit his arms lightly. Jeevika went from there but what Abhimaan said about the husband-wife didn't leave her mind.

Flashback ends

Jeevika finished saying Vidhyut looked her and said,

“ continue jeevika because I know this is not it. Because if it is the only incident you were not saying this so tell me everything.”

She looked at him. But knowing that now there was no way that she can hide anything, she continued. Two months back…

Flashback

Jeevika was ready for her next class. She took her beg but one of the classmates informed that they won't have the next class.

“ Why don't we have the next class Mahima?”

“ I don't know jeevi, this new ma'am has never taken off.”

“ But I know.”  Jeevika listened and looked back and rolled her eyes. The person who said this is Niti. She is the gossip queen of college.

Jeevika didn't like the nature of Gossiping. But apart from that she is very good by heart.  She is one year senior to them. But they met in the canteen a few times and became friends. She also helped them with her previous years notes.

“ How do you know niti di?” Mahima asked,

“ Ufff you know I have every news of this college.”  she said while taking a seat beside them on the table with her one more friend.

“ So the reason is ma'am is getting divorce and this is the reason. She is having Court hearing.” she said,

“ How do you know this Dii? And didn't she get married just last year then why is she getting divorce so soon.” One of the classmates of Jeevika asked who was present there.

“ Ok So I know because all of you know that My brother has his own legal firm and Advocate. So he is handling this case. But from her husband’s side. So the problem is they are not having any physical relation between them. He is not attracted to her. Not only that they have a five year age gap so he doesn't feel satisfied with her. So now he wants divorce.”

This was the first time Jeevika thought about the age gap she shared with husband. Not only that they also don't share any physical relation.

But still she didn't like the idea of Niti discussing their professor's personal metter openly. But before she could say something Niti spoke.

“ But please don't tell anyone this to anyone. Because If my brother will come to know he will be very angry at me. You know he is already angry.”

“ If is angry that means he didn't tell you then how do you know this?”

“ Ohh ho Jeevika you are so naive. I heard  their conversation when her husband was discussing why he wants divorce. He said he tried for one year but couldn't feel love and wasn't attracted to her. And now wants divorce. But when I asked my brother he got angry with me. Not only that, you know he took my phone tab and laptop for two weeks. So please guys don't tell anything to anyone otherwise he will get more angry. He doesn't want me to know this and study.”

“ Hmmm” jeevika said. But now her mind is somewhere.

“ But how can someone get a divorce without trying?” Mahima asked

“ It's not new Mahima, you know that last week that film star got divorce he also said the same in one talk show that he was not satisfied with his wife and decided to part ways.” One of her classmates said

“ Yes they were also having a huge age gap and at last got divorce.”  another one said.

All of them talk about this casually not knowing what their talk is doing to an innocent heart. And where will it lead.

Flashback ends.

All these things add fuel to Vidhyut’s anger. He clutched his own neck from back tightly to keep himself calm. And set on sofa  in front of the bed. He took deep breaths before speaking.

“ Are you serious Jeevika ? Just some people gossip about something you took it that seriously? You know for the first time I don't know how to react.  You know what let me tell you one thing clearly jeevika. You know me, I am 28 and till now I have never touched any girl. You know why because I surely have my needs but still they are never more important than love.

And let me tell you that I am talking about pure love, not about love you are talking about a few minutes back. Jeevika first you need to understand that what you are talking about is just a way of showing your love to your partner. That is not only love.

Ans about Abhimaan and Advika you need to understand that they have reached that level of their marriage which we didn't. That's why he can say, talk and ask her questions like this.

And about your college Gossiping you need to know everyone is not like your professor’s husband. And do you really think that is the reason divorce? No jeevika I agree that this can be one reason but not only reason. There must be a lot in the story. Which you, your classmates, your seniors don't know. Didn't she say her brother got angry with her? Because he knows the whole thing and she judges her listing half story.

And let me tell you if my needs are that much higher then I wouldn't wait till now to fulfill it. You know why because I have many girls around me who are ready to be with me in my bed because of my money and power. I would have get any one of them.

Leave them Jeevika we are married almost nine months. If that was only the only thing I want then I would have got it from you only from the very first month by manipulating you. You were emotionally weak that time. And it wasn't very difficult to take advantage of that. But I didn't know why. Because first I wanted our bond strong. Before making your body mine I wanted to make your sole mine.

But looking at this I am feeling like a failure. You didn't even trust me a bit. I understand you were insecure. But then you should have at least talked to me once. Just once and I would have made sure you won't feel like that. Am I not that capable as a husband that my wife can share her insecurity?”

He said and kept his face in his palm. Jeevika realized how wrong she was. How much she hurt him. She stood up from the bed and sat beside him and put her hand on his shoulder.

“ It's not your fault, it's my fault. I should have trusted you and talked to you. But that day…”

She didn't complete but Vidhyut looked her and said,

“ Complete it Jeevika. Because now I want every single thing in your mind so don't stop, tell me.”

She looked her lap but said,

“ Before my exam when you kissed me that day you kissed me on my neck on my collarbone. But then stopped so I thought they were all right. You don't find me attractive, that's why you stopped.”

“ I stopped because I thought you are not ready for that.”

“ but I was ready..” She mummers slowly but Vidhyut listens.

“ Then did you tell me Jeevika? Did you tell me even once that you are ready? How will I know? You know Jeevi, I am very hurt. You are my wife but all this conversation makes me feel like I don't know anything about your feelings.”

“ It's not like that,” she said. But it made him more angry that he stood up from his place and shouted,

“ Then tell me what it's like. I don't know if my wife is ready to take one more step in our relationship. I don't know if my wife is insecure. And that to the extent that she is ready to give me divorce. Tell me what it's like.”

When she didn't said anything he spoke,

“ You have hurted me jeevika. Hurted me a lot.” he said and left the room by closing the door with thud. Jeevika sat there and cried over her stupid overthinking.

As soon as everyone else heard this voice and saw Vidhyut decrease the stairs they stood up.

“ Vidhyut…”

Abhimaan spoke but he didn't listen to him and went out. Abhimaan saw Advika who nodded at him so Abhimaan went behind him.

“ Radha ji, go to your room and take a rest. I will go to Jeevika.”

“ Thank you so much Kajal ji.  I don't know what happened to her suddenly. But I am a very bad mother who slapped her daughter without knowing his pain.”

Advika consoles Radha and takes her to her room. And Kajal decided to go to Jeevika.
