chapter 32

Author's POV.

When Abhimaan told Jeevika that she is like a sister to her, tears welled up in her eyes. Looking at her he got panic and said,

" Jeevi, why are you crying? Tell me Sweety what happened?"

Knowing that if she is here for talking about something that it must be something serious. Now her crying makes him more panicked. He has only seen her crying once when her mom left for London. After that he never saw her crying and always behaved bravely.

" Ok First tell me, have you had your lunch?"

She nodded in no.  He got up from his place and gave her water, wiped her tears and said,

" Ok then have water till let me order lunch for you. Do you like sandwiches?"

She nodded her head in yes. He called his assistant and said,

" Rahul, bring one Oreo shake and sandwiches…."

"  I like sandwiches with cheese. " She spoke with teary eyes.  He suppressed his smile at her innocence.

" Rahul, make sure Sandwich has a lot of cheese. And my black coffee."

Within ten minutes Rahul was there with all those things. And left after giving them.

" Hmm now let's talk while eating ok." He spoke softly while giving him one of the sandwiches. She took one bite after gulping it she spoke,

" Vo I…Vidhyut…."

" Jeevi, relax and tell me." He encouraged her with a smile.

" Since last month Vidhyut has been having nightmares almost every night. Every night he wakes up while murmuring, sweating and firghten. I have asked him several times but he didn't share anything with me. Last whole month he has not slept peacefully. Sometimes when I insisted he slept after a nightmare. But sometimes he just leaves for work and then for the gym. He is not even eating anything properly. From the last two or three nights he only took a nap of two or three hours. He thought that I didn't know this but I know.

Abhi I am afraid because of his mental health he will affect his physical health. He is not even sharing anything. When I asked if we could visit the doctor, he also avoided that.  He always avoided talking about it.

I can't see him like this. I know he is afraid of something but I don't know what it is. He is not even ready to share. I feel helpless. I want to help him but How? I want my old Vidhyut back.  Please Abhi do something. I can't see him like this. I'm feeling so helpless, please help me. Please do something "

Saying she started crying. Abhimaan got up from his place and hugged her. Just the door of his cabin opened. And he looked at the person. And took a breath knowing that he was not alone.

It's not like he can't console her alone but What Advika can do he can't do. Advika was shocked to see jeevika and what more shocked her that she is crying.

She rushed to her side. And took Jeevika in her embrace. And asked,

" Jeevi, what are you doing here? And why are you crying…"

But before she can ask more questions, Abhimaan signals her not to do that. So she didn't inquire further and started consoling her.

" Jeevi it's ok look all of us are ok. Everything will be fine. Trust me baby. Shhh stop crying"

When she didn't stop crying Abhimaan teased her,

" Hey cry baby stop crying otherwise my Cabin will drown in your tears."

" I am not crying that much," she said while shooting him glar.

When she composed little Abhimaan aksed,

" Can you tell me if everything is ok before one month. I mean he is not having any nightmares right."

" No, I mean he used to sleep only for a few hours. But still there was no nightmare."

" Look Jeevika, I know the reason for his nightmare. But I also know that  he has not had them regularly  for some time. So something must have triggered him. That is the reason he got them back regularly. Can you tell me something has happened? Did he say something?"

" Ummm no he never said anything.  In Fact he never talks about his past.  If you know Can you please tell me so I can help him."

"Sorry Jeevika even if I want I can't as it's not my right to tell you. Only he can tell you."

Listening to this tears well up in her eyes and she spoke slowly,

" Then how will I help him?"

"Shhh baby stop crying " Advika cooed to her.

" Jeevi you need to be strong. If you want to help him. Can you remember something odd, something different in his behavior? Or something has happened?"

She thought for a minute and said,

" Yes Abhi we had a fight last month…."

Then told him how he didn't return in time and then how he got angry when she asked about his whereabouts.

"When we returned from the beach , the next day he started having them."

" You should have told me if he behaved badly with you. For now let it be. But next time first tell me ok. If he does something like this "

He said angrily to which she nodded.

" Didn't he tell you where he was?"

" No Advika Didi that day he got angry and the next day also when I asked him but avoided that topic. Abhi he will be ok right. His nightmare will stop hena?

She asked him hopefully. He gave him assuring smile and said,

" Advika, take her with you to Rathore Mansion. And jeevi, don't worry, ok. Everything will be alright."

" But he will be angry with me. Because I told you everything."

" No he won't, I will make sure of it." He said.

As soon as they stood up from sofa Jeevika hugged Abhimaan and said,

" Thank you Abhi Bhai"

He broke hug and pull her nose little and said,

" So finally I got the privilege to be called as bhai."

She giggled at him and said,

" No This only for one time. So Don't you be flattered."  She said with getting back to her normal State.

Advika with jeevika went to Rathore Mansion and Abhimaan thought

" So Mr. Vidhyut Sinha we need to talk."

Vidhyut came back from work and as usual he went to his room thinking that his wife will be there and must be doing her college work.  But got shocked when he couldn't find her.

He started checking everywhere. At last went to the kitchen but got more confused seeing it empty. She is not there also by this time dinner must be ready. But there was nothing in the kitchen.

Though Jeevika doesn't cook daily, she makes sure food is ready by this time. She always asked their house help Sunita to cook. But she is also not here. That's when he realizes that there is no one in the house.

He called Sunita and asked about it. Then he said that jeevika herself said not to come. He already has called jeevika thrice but she is not picking up the call. Now he is more tense.

He called her driver who informed him that jeevika refused him to pick her up as she was returning with her friend. He asked a guard of the building who informed him that she didn't return from college.

He is getting tense now. He didn't talk with her as he was busy the whole day. But now cursing himself for not calling her whole day. Just then he received a message with photo in which Jeevika was laughing over something and the message was,

" Hey buddy, looking for your little Patakha. Then let me tell you she is here with me. Enjoying her stay."

Vidhyut narrowed his eyes at this and drove to the place. As soon as he entered the Rathore Mansion he welcomed Jeevika's giggling.

For a second he got happy listening to her giggling. But then remembered how tense he was for the last hour while looking for her. That made him angry. He marched towards her and asked,

" What the fuck you are you are doing here? And where is your phone? Why are you not answering calls? At least you should have informed me"

Jeevika didn't say anything just looking down.

" At least speak up now."

But a voice interrupts them.

" Now do you know how it feels when someone whom you love is not answering your calls and doesn't tell you where the person is and you are tense about them."

He looked back and saw that Abhimaan was coming. He came and stood between Jeevika and Vidhyut.

"What the fuck Abhi?"

" Stop swearing. You are doing it too much."

" Ohh please I am not a kid."

" But she is. Now do you realize how she must have felt that day. But As far as I know she didn't get angry like you are getting now."

Vidhyut got confused for some time but then remembered about their fight.

" But that was a month ago and I have already apologized for it. And jeevika that was our personal matter. Why did you share that with him?  We already short that out."

He said, slightly getting angry at last. As he didn't like the fact that she shared their personal matters with someone.

" Because I asked her." Abhimaan replied

" But why?"

" You will get to know once we are done talking."

Listening to Abhimaan's words and his expression Vidhyut got the idea that Jeevika had told him about his nightmare.

He took a step towards jeevika but Abhimaan kept his hand in his chest to stop him from taking further steps.

Abhimaan knows that now Vidhyut is angry and he doesn't want him to do anything that he will regret in future.

" You can talk to her once we are done."

Vidhyut glared at him and then Jeevika. Abhimaan didn't get affected much but jeevika looked down. Not wanting to see him angry.

" Fine, let's talk."

He said and turned. He was about to take step but jeevika hold his shirt's sleeve and spoke slowly,

" Are you angry with me?"

He didn't answer, just removed her hand and went from there. As soon as he leaves jeevika breaks into tears.  And Advika hugged her.

" Advika didi…he is….angry…. with… me…now ….he won't….talk to…me… he won't…love me…anymore…"

She said between her snobs.

"Shuu,  trust Maan he will make everything ok. Don't cry."

Advika consoles her knowing that this is the test of their love. Once they pass , everything will be ok.

But for that Vidhyut needs to leave his insecurity and Jeevika needs to be strong and understanding.

So here is the new chapter.
