chapter 21

Author's POV.

After completing the meet Vidhyut came back to his cabin with Jeevika. He was working on something and Jeevika was sitting quietly. Looking at her face anyone can say that she is sad. He came to her and set beside her and asked,

" Jeevi what are you thinking?"

" Nothing"

" Are you still sad ?"

" I don't know Vidhyut I can't forget those things. I tried but I couldn't."

" I know it's difficult to take your time," he said and she smiled at him. Just then they heard the knock on the door.  He gave permission to the person to come inside.

When the person both of them didn't like her presence. Vidhyut asked priti why she is here.

" sir this is the file prena ma'am sent to check. If you can check and tell. I will wait till you check."

Jeevika huffed at her. First she was eyeing Vidhyut in a meeting . Now she is here. This doesn't settle her. She glared at her and jealousy was evident on her face. But before Vidhyut can say anything she spoke,

" Vidhyut I was thinking, can we go home? Is this file so important?"

" No, nothing is more important than my baccha," he deliberately replied lovingly. But his reply was genuine.

" Then can we go back home. I am tired. "

" Sure, let's go."  He said. Jeevika saw Priti was going to say something so she beat him in saying.

" Vidhyut, take that file. You can check at home then return it to Vihaan bhai. It's only four. What will you do at home so early? So better complete your work."

She said, She knows if  he won't check this file today. Priti will get one more chance to come to his cabin tomorrow and tomorrow she won't be here.  He nodded and took the file from priti. And told her to go back.

Once she went back he was packing his things so that they could go back that time Vihaan came and asked to sign some papers.

" Vihaan take them back. I will read and then sign them. It will take time."

" But sir, it's important."

" Vidhyut if Vihaan bhai is saying then it must be important. Then Why don't you sign."

" But you want to go home right?"

" I know but I don't think it will take much time. Also I forgot my phone in that meeting room. I will go and take it till you sign and come. Then we will go together from there."

Vidhyut nodded. And she went out. Once she left Vihaan spoke,

" Sir, Vo Raghav called and was asking when will you Visit?"

" Hmm. Do one thing tell him I will visit at night ? What about Abhimaan?"

" No, he still hasn't returned. He will return at night"

" Then we will visit at night "

Vihaan nodded as Vidhyut focused on his paper.

Jeevika reached the floor where the meeting room was. She entered the room. People inside the room were shocked to see her. Mrs. Perna with Rahul, Vidhi, Vishal and few other employees are present. She smiled at them.

"Ma'am do you need anything?" Mrs. Prena asked.

" Vo I forgot my phone here.  But Aunty please at least, you stop calling me ma'am. You can call me Jeevika"

" But ma'am you are the wife of my boss." She replied.

" Fine, then take it as an order that you will call me Jeevika. You know when you call me ma'am it feels like I am 50 years old."  She tried to look intimidating but failed as she herself giggled at the end.

" As you say I will call you jeevika"  she said with a smile.

" Umm my phone." She started looking for her phone. Just then someone forward it. She looked at it and took it and then looked at the person.

" Thank you umm."

" Rahul Naam to suna hi hoga" He said cheekily.  And she giggled and said.

" Thank you Rahul.  Sorry to disturb you all. Now I am going, you can continue with your work. "

" No ma'am we were discussing the project, it's almost done, we are also going back to our dask." Vidhi said and everyone started packing their things. Meanwhile Jeevika came out. Vidhyut has not come yet and she was thirsty so decided to drink water from the filter of the floor.

She was drinking water when someone approached her whom she doesn't like at all but she can't be rude to her as she didn't do anything wrong directly till now.

" Hello Ma'am,"  Priti said.

Other employees who came out of the meeting room saw the scene.  But for now didn't interfere as she didn't do anything wrong.

" Hello Ms…"

" Priti"

" Ohh hello Ms. Priti. I am jeevika. Ohh sorry let me refresh it Mrs. Jeevika Vidhyut Sinha. Do you want something?"

She asked with the same sweetness Priti showed her.  Mrs. Prena with her team amused at Jeevika's smartness. They understand with Jeevika's reply that she is well aware of Priti's intentions.

" Vo I want to tell you something Ma'am. Actually if you want to go home you should have gone alone. You know the file with which I came there was important. But sir didn't pay attention to it because you said you wanted to go home.  Please don't take it as wrong or personally you know I am saying this because I am concerned about the company. "

She tried to say in a way that she is concerned about work.  But everyone knows her intentions. Vidhyut who just came there listened to this and was about to speak but jeevika gestured him not to interfere.  She looked here and there and then asked looking at Rahul who has a notepad.

"  Hey Rahul can you give me paper from your notepad and pen"

" Sure ma'am " he said and came towards Jeevika and gave her his notepad. Jeevika took it from him and wrote something in it. And then tear a paper and give it to Priti. Who was all confused with her act. And read a paper.

" 9xxxxxxxxx

She looked at confused with it and asked,

" What is this ma'am ?"

Rahul also picked inside the paper to know what jeevika had written and looking at the number he also got confused.

" Ohh this is an otolaryngologist's Number. You know ENT specialists who treat problems related to Ears, nose and throat.  Please don't take it wrong. You know I am concerned about you just like you are concerned about work.

You know why I gave it to you because I think you didn't hear when my husband said that nothing is more important than me. "

She deliberately presses on the word husband. And gave her a smile. And said,

" I know Vidhyut's company also gives mediclaim. So you won't have a problem with money.  As I have already said, don't take it personally.  I am also concerned about you and the company. What if you miss some important thing in future?  Then because of you my husband will face loss na.  So please visit him. You know we are in the same team, concerned about the company."

She gave priti a smile and moved towards Vidhyut. Priti looked her dumb. As she couldn't come up with an answer.  She never thought she would answer her like this.  Jeevika replied to her by using words used by her only that are company and concern.

Jeevika came to Vidhyut and looked her hands around his arms and asked,

" Shall we go?"

" Yes meri Jaan"  He said while controlling his laugh.

They moved inside the lift and as soon as lift's door get closed he brushed laugh and Pinch her cheeks and said,

" Oh My God little Patakha from where do you get all this idea?"

" They are original, " she said while flipping her hair. Then suddenly narrowed her eyes and mimic priti,

" What she was saying haa,  please don't take it personally. Hhaa why won't I take it personally when she was eyeing my husband in the whole meeting and then giving me advice. Hhn don't she know that even the CEO of the company listens to me. And she was giving me advice. Me?"

She said while heffing  and making her eyes big while saying, me in the end. Vidhyut chuckled at her and then pulled her closer by her waist and she landed on his chest.

" So My baccha is jealous?"

" No, I am not jealous. But let me tell you you are mine. And If she comes near you then I will chope her and if you will go near her then I will chope you also. Then give both of you a puttu."

" Why will I go near her when I have you.  Also didn't you mark me as your." He said her while winking and showing his palm where she wrote " belong to Jeevika"

She blushed at his statement when he said he had her.

" Btw whose Puttu?"

" Vo, when I used to live with Maa, that time in our street there was a puppy whom I named Puttu and also used to play with him."

" You will give her to the puppy " he said while laughing.

" Don't laugh. He was puppy but now he must have become big scary dog na"

She said while getting angry. And he bites her nose.

" Shiii, why did you bite my nose?"

" It looks cute like cherry when you get angry"

She slapped his arms. And he just chuckled at her. Soon they reached the parking lot and went home.

( In the office when Jeevika and Vidhyut went)

As soon as the lift door gets closed at Jeevika and Vidhyut leaves the place  Rahul was the one who burst out laughing.

" Ohh God Now I understand why Vidhyut sir married her. She is something else yaar."

" Yes, even in my dreams I couldn't think of answering someone like this." Vishal joined Rahul.

Both of them laughed while giving Hi-fi to each other. Which angers Priti.

" Shut up, both of you. Didn't you show How she insulted me in front of everyone? And you are taking her side "

" Technically she didn't because her tone was not harsh like an insult. Nor did she use any bad words for you. Also she used the same word  you used. So technically you can't balm her. " Rahul said while talking to Jeevika's side. And  Vishal agreed with him.

" Guys please let it be yaar. And Priti you can't blame her when you yourself has started. She just gave you an answer with the same words you used. You still have time to change this attitude of yours before it harms you." Vidhi said

All of them went back to their dask for work leaving Priti angry.
