chapter 20.

Author's POV.

Jeevika and Vidhyut are sitting in comfortable silence. She is sitting on his lap putting her head on his shoulder. Just then they heard the knock on the door. She looked at him.

" Someone must be here to give lunch. Do one thing: go sit on that sofa." He said. She nodded and went to sit on the sofa. He went and stood beside him and asked a person to come in.  It was Rahul one of his employee whom Mrs. Prena asked to give lunch as Vidhyut' s demand.

He came in and said, " sir lunch." Vidhyut nodded at him and asked him to set it on the table. Vidyut saks to jeevika,

" Jeevi, I will wash my hands and be back." She nodded her head. Rahul after setting lunch on table looked jeevika and asked,

" Ma'am do you need anything?"

" No thank you." She said and gave him a polite smile, Which He returned and also noticed how beautiful and polite his boss's wife was.  When he was returning out if Cabin he listened Jeevika 's existed voice,

" Vidhyut Chinese"

" I know, baby. I thought you deserve a treat today. "  Listening to this he smiled and returned to the cafeteria for his lunch.

Vidhyut settled beside the jeevika and asked,

" Happy baccha "

" Very. "

" But I thought I have one surprise for you to lift your mood. But O thik you don't need that now."

" No no tell me na pls "

" Fine" saying he called someone on Video call. She was looking at him with a frown but as soon as the person picked up, her frown turned into a big smile.

" Maa"  she looked call and said,

" How are you, baby?"

" I am fine maa. What happened to me? Can you tell me how you are?"

" I am also fine"

She looked at Vidhyut who encouraged her to continue talking.

" It's ok jeevi , you continue talking. She reached the next day only.  But then she has to go to some tests and a few other things. So we can't call her. But now everything is settled and we can call her when her treatment is not going and this time she must be free. Hena Maa?"

" Yes I have to do a few exercises and some other things but it still has one hour." Radha said. After that they talk happily.

All the while Jeevika is talking to her and Vidhyut was feeding her and him both. She was so engrossed in her talk that she didn't realize it. But Radha who saw all this is happy that her decision was not wrong. She now doesn't care what will happen with her after treatment. As she knows that her Jeevika is at the safest place with the most trustworthy person.

Rahul came down to the cafeteria. And settled on the table with his friends and colleagues. He took his seat beside the Vidhi and spoke,

" Yaar this is so difficult?"

" What is so difficult? " Vidhi asked

" Aree to decide who is more lucky?"

" Hah? Can you be clear?" She asked

" I mean I can't decide if Vidhyut sir is more lucky to have jeevi ma'am or jeevi ma'am is more lucky to have Vidhyut sir?"  He shared his confusion.

" First it is not jeevi it's jeevika and yes you are right we can't decide who is more lucky you know."  She said to him,

" how do you know it's Jeevika not jeevi. I have listened sir calling Ma'am jeevi"

" Then it must be a pet name. As when sir called her principal for some issues she was here that time he took her name Jeevika"  she said

" Ohh.  But yaar I must say Ma'am is very beautiful. She was looking like fairy in that dress. " he said

" Do you have a death wish, Rahul ? Didn't you see what sir did with that Manager who tried to touch ma'am that you are calling her fairy. Don't you want or like your tongue any more."

" Ohh come on Vishal  I know my limits ok. I know that I can like Rolls Royces.  But I can't have it."

" That's good. We should know our limits especially after that warning " Vishal said.

" But yaar that was so hot when sir said that," She is my princess and your queen treats her like one."  One of the female employees said.

" Agree " two more employees can agree with her.

Priti who was listening to all this  salient now decided to speak. As she was now more jealous. First her attempts of getting Vidhyut's attention was failing. And now she knows the reason for Jeevika. Second she thought that everyone in the office would speak bad about her but instead they were praising her.

" But don't all of you think that she is married to sir for his money. Like you know she has just passed her school and is now getting admission in college. And sir he must be around 27-28. Why would someone so young marry someone who is older than her by 8 to 10 years. " She said bitterly.

" I don't think so." Mrs prerna who was listening to all this talk now spoke when Priti talked bad about jeevika.

" But ma'am  you are experienced you know…"

" That's why Priti. That's why I am telling you that she is not married, sir, because of money, power or fame. I have seen innocence. If that was the reason till now all the media must know about her and not only that she must have shown arrogance for being sir's wife. Which she didn't. She could have used his power to get admission but she doesn't even know that the principal will give her admission just by knowing who she is. She was so shocked when he called the principal and she got admission even when time was over.  That clearly indicates that she doesn't know what power sir holds."

Everyone agreed with Mrs. Prena. And talked about a few more things and went back to her work. Just Priti was about to go Vidhi and Rahul dragged her corner.

" What was that priti ?" Rahul asked

" Correct what was that, why did you say something bad about Ma'am. Didn't you see how possessive sir was about Ma'am. If he will come to know he will kill you " vidhi said

" Look, Priti Vidhi told me that you like sir. I suggest we forget him. There was no way you could get him. Now that you know he is married. You back off. Don't try to cross paths. You will end up hurting only. He is and will belong to Jeevika ma'am." Rahul explained.

" What does she have that I don't have? And both of you are my friend or her friend.  Just one meeting and every single person in the office became her fan." She said with jealousy.

" We are your friends that's why telling you beware"  Saying this Rahul went from there and dragged Vidhi with her.

" Don't tell me you are supporting her Vidhi?"

" No. Why will I do something whose end result is nothing but bad." She said

Priti just greeted  her teeth looking at everyone  who is praising  Jeevika.

" Come Jeevi, let's go for a meeting."  Vidhyut asked as it's time for the meeting.

" But what will I do there?"

" Sit with me."

" But I will get bored, ''

she said, showing him her puppy eyes. Which she knows will work on him.  He puts his palm on her eyes. And said,

" Jeevi this time it won't work."

She removed his palm from her eyes and  made a pout. And said,

" please"

He mischievously smiled and lightly picked her pout. Her eyes went wide and she started blushing.  She was in dazzle of what happened that time he took hold of her hand and dragged her with him.

They enter the meeting room then she realizes what he did with her. All the while this she was busy blushing so didn't realize.

She glared at him when everyone was looking at her blushing face with shock as they never thought he would be here with Jeevika.  He pull chair for her on which she seated while said,

" That was cheating Vidhyut" she spoke slowly so that only he could listen.

" Everything is fair in love and war." He said while winking.

And took a seat beside her. When he noticed that everyone was looking at them he asked in his cold voice.

" If all of you are done staring at us then shall we start meeting?"

All of them look shocked how in just a split second his voice changes from loving to cold. Project head said,

" Sorry sir.  I will start with the new strategy we have decided for this project."  Vidhyut nodded at him and he started the presentation.

At first Jeevika was looking at the presentation but slowly she started getting bored. And doesn't know what to do. She looked at Vidhyut's hand which had a ring. She took his hand in her lap and started playing with the ring.  But after sometime she also gets bored with it. And realized that this meeting is not her cup of tea.

She pouted and looked here and there just then her eyes landed on priti who was sitting just beside her. She was looking at Vidhyut who was so engrossed in the presentation that he didn't realize that she was looking at him.

This doesn't settle her. But she ignored it for now.  And again started playing with his ring. Vidhyut who realized that she is bored took out his phone and turned off the volume of it and gave it to her. So she can play games.

But again she didn't like the games he was having on his phone.  So she opened the phone gallery and started looking at pictures.  Priti who was seated just beside her also took a view of the photos she was looking at and got jealous.

There were photos of Jeevika and Vidhyut on Puja day, the result day when they went to dinner. Jeevika's photo with Rihaan. She got happy looking at them.

But soon she realizes that Priti is also eyeing the phone and looking at the photo. She frowned at first and soon she got an idea. She chose a photo of them and set it as a wallpaper.

This photo was clicked by Abhi. When Jeevika was talking while showing something to Vidhyut but tripped on her sari and Vidhyut held her. But in the photo it looks like they are kissing. When Abhimaan sent him that photo he was first shocked but he liked it. So he kept it.

She then tugged his shirt sleeve who raised his eyebrows in asking manner,

" Keep this photo as wallpaper ok" she said slowly.

" As my Jaan wishes."  He said and smiled.  She looked at Priti from the corner of her eyes. And felt satisfied when she saw a frown on her face. As she heard their conversation.

Jeevika put the phone on the table and kept the light on. So that Priti can see the Wallpaper clearly. And smiled innocently.

When she realized that this doesn't affect Priti much as she is still looking at Vidhyut. She Huffed and started thinking something.

Just then Idea stuck in her mind. She grinned and took the red pen which was kept in front of Vidhyut. Took his palm in her hands and write

" BELONG TO JEEVIKA"

Vidhyut looked at Jeevika and then his palm to know what she wrote in his palm. First he got confused with it. And romand his eyes in the room and soon realized why she did it.

He just chuckled at her childish things and about to turn his hand. But before he did it. Jeevika took hold of his palm and kept it open properly so that Priti could read and threaten him.

" Dare you close your palm or turn it. I will complain about you to Abhi and tell him to punch you. I will tell him to punch you in your face so nobody will ever look at you. and this time I won't even stop him or shout at him."

He pulled her nose to be so cute. And said,

" Ok cutie "

She smiled at him and Circle her hands around his arms and rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. He realizes many people eyed them but he just glared at them. So they shift there focused on presentation. He also kissed her on her forehead and shifted his focus back on presentation.
