Princess Treatment

When Kate woke up the next morning, the first thing she saw was Nika looking down at her. Kate jumped and was startled at the sight.

"Good morning to you too, princess." Nika sarcastically said as she started playing with Kate's hair despite it being messy.

"Sorry, I just didn't expect to look into your eyes first thing in the morning. I'm not complaining though. If that was my first sight every morning, I'd believe I was in heaven."

Nika smirked as she scratched up and down Kate's arms very gently with her hands. "I guess we better start sleeping in the same bed then." Nika shrugged as she began to stand up. "Get ready soon Kate, to make up for yesterday, which I feel really terrible about, I want to treat you."

Kate immediately sat up on her as her eyes widened. "You don't have to do that for me Nika. You don't have to feel bad anymore, I already forgive you."

"What prince charming would I be if I don't give my princess her well deserved day." But before Kate could speak Nika started to leave the room. "Get changed, I'll be waiting downstairs." Her voice growing more distant from every step she took.

When Kate was getting dressed she heard a knock on the door. "It's Caitlin."

"Come in." Kate wasn't too worried about Caitlin seeing her get dressed because they live in the same apartment. They are practically sisters.

"Ooh where are you going K?" Caitlin smirked at her friend getting changed into a somewhat nicer outfit than she normally wears.

"I'm just going somewhere with someone that's all." Kate was hesitant whether or not to tell Caitlin whos she's going with. If she asks shell say.

"Well you for one know that I'm going to ask who you're going with. So who?" Caitlin laid on her stomach on Kate's bed with her chin resting against her hands impatient waiting for a response.

"Fine. It's Nika." As soon as Kate said the name, Caitlin quickly got up from Kate's bed and started jumping up and down like a little kid in a candy store.

"I knew it! I knew it! I knew it!" Kate's cheeks started to turn scarlet and she started to laugh from Caitlin's reaction. Kate was so grateful that she had someone like Caitlin who will always support her. Kate just couldn't wait for the day when Caitlin falls for someone and Kate can do the same crazy reaction to her.

"So what are you and Ms. Mühl going to be doing K?" Caitlin started wiggling her eyebrows as Kate rolled her eyes.

"To be honest, I actually don't know. She just said she wanted to take me out for the whole day. She never said where or what we're doing and I'm a little scared because Nika always got some tricks up her sleeves."

"Well I'll let you finish getting ready and please keep me updated on everything that happens between you and Mühl."

"Will do." Caitlin left the room and Kate finished getting ready for her and Nika's 'date?' If that's what you would call it.

When Kate started making her way downstairs, she saw Nika waiting down there smiling. "You look stunning Kate." Kate started to smile at the compliment that came from Nika. Who knew she could be such a softie?!

"I'm really not but thank you. You look breathtaking, Nika." It was now Nika's turn to smile. Nika reached her hand out for Kate. When their fingers intertwined it felt like the world stopped. This was there first time holding hands and it felt so right. It felt like they had done it a million times before.

Nika was allowed to use Azzi's car for her and Kate's adventure which she really appreciated. Nika opened up the passenger door for Kate to get in.

"For my beautiful passenger princess." Kate's heart melted from the gesture Nika did. Nika held her hand out to help Kate in the car.

"Thank you m'lady." Kate gladly accepted Nika's hand into her own and got into the seat.

As Nika got into the driver's seat she handed Kate her phone. "You can play whatever song you want Kate."

When Kate turned the phone on, she saw Nika's background was of her and Nika with one of the dozens of photos they took last night. Kate couldn't help but grin. "I can't wait to find out what your music taste is like."

"It's the best you'll ever hear." Nika winked.

A minute after they were on the road with the music blasting, Nika put her right hand on Kate's thigh and started to caress it with her thumb. Kate's stomach was doing all kinds of flips and turns but she had to act nonchalant.

"Brent Faiyaz huh?" Kate turned to look at Nika who glanced over at Kate for a second.

"Do you like him?"

"I don't listen to much of his music. I just didn't expect you to be the person who likes him. I'd think youd be more into hardcore rap." Nika smiled at Kate.

"I do like rap but Brent Faiyaz has been one of my top artist for the past few years. We should go to a concert of his one time together."

"I'd like the sound of that." Kate really only heard his music on Tiktok. But she wanted to get into all of Nika's favorite artist so Nika could be surprise and they could sing along together. Even if Nika's voice is...nevermind.

When Nika parked the car, she instantly rushed to the other side of the car to open up Kate's door before she could get the chance herself too. "You're too good for me Nika." Both of the girls smiled for a moment before Nika held her hand out. Kate once again gladly took it and their fingers intertwined.

"So you're not nervous who sees?" Nika turned to her left and looked at Kate.

Kate hesitated for a moment. "I don't care who sees. You're the only person in the world who I want to be seen with romantically in public before I'm ready to announce my relationship. I want to show you off to everybody." Nika awed at Kate's comment and kissed her on her cheek.

They had been walking around town for quite a while but nowhere really caught their eyes until they saw a Dick's Sporting Goods.

"Aw hell yea." Nika laughed at Kate's excitement of the store. Both of them were very competitive so Dick's Sport Goods was a luxurious dream for the both of them.

As soon as they stepped into the store, they immediately went to the basketball section. Nika was holding on as tightly as she could to Kate's hand from the girl practically dragging her around the store getting to the basketball section as quickly as she could.

"You know what we need to do before we leave?" Nika was caught off guard by Kate and looked up at her.

"What do we need to do?"

Kate smirked. "Do a 1v1." Nika scoffed and waved off Kate.

"I couldn't do that to such a sweet girl. It wouldn't be fair competition for you if you had to verse me Kate." Kate rolled her eyes.

"Please your egos getting as big as Paige's. And besides you should be the one afraid of losing."

"Whatever floats your boat. And how dare you say 'before we leave.' I can't even fathom thinking about that right now." They both stood in silence for a moment. It was finally settling in that soon they would need to part ways.

"Lets save that conversation for another day Nika. Right now I want to go out in town with you and spend every second with you.

Nika and Kate spent countless minutes at the basketball section. They decided to buy matching basketballs that each of them could take home with as a memory and gift from one another. It was to symbol this trip and that despite being in different states, they are with each other in spirit.

The two girls had stumbled upon the shoe section and Nika thought of an amazing idea. They got the same pair of Nike Air Jordan's so that they could have matching shoes now as well.

When they got to the register, Kate started to get her wallet out before Nika swatted her hand away. "I got it princess." Before Kate could have a second to argue, Nika had already inserted her card to pay.

"Nika you seriously didn't have to do that." Nika held both of the bags leaving the store. Once again insisting that Kate doesn't have to hold them.

"What did I say before? Heh?" Nika smiled at Kate as she slightly, playfully nudged her. "That today I am going to treat you so well for my actions yesterday." Kate rolled her eyes because the Croatian would not let that go. She knew Nika feel guilty. She didn't need to keep doing all of this for her though.

"Fine but can we put our shoes on right now please Nika?! I can't wait to wear them!"

Nika giggled. "Sure. Anything you want princess."

Nika and Kate kept holding hands walking down the street. People recognized them and asked to take photos with them which they gladly did. To say some fans were shocked seeing them together was an understatement. All fans knew of the fight and most knew that they made up. I guess they became way too friendly with each other than some people might have expected.

They were both getting hungry for lunch when a nice cozy restaurant caught both of there attentions. They decided to go in there, hand in hand, and get a table for two.

"Everything on this menu looks so good." Kate kept scanning through the menu and was debating on what to get.

"Not as good as you." Nika winked at Kate which made Kate blush hard.

The waiter soon came over to them. "What would you like to drink?"

"I'd like a water with lemon please." Kate rolled her eyes at Nika asking for lemon.

"And I would like a water as well but no lemons or limes or anything please." The waiter laughed when he was the desperateness in Kate's eyes.

"I'll be sure to not put lemon or limes in it. You drinks will be out here in just a moment." As soon as the waiter left, Kate felt feet kicking hers. She soon realized it was Nika's.

"Are we playing footsies right now?" Kate looked back up at Nika who had a mysterious smile on her face. That answered Kate's question and Nika joined in.

"So Nika, I've been meaning to ask something but I didn't know if I should." Nika furrowed her eyebrows ever so slightly. "Is this a date?" Nika put her hand on top of Kate's.

"Of course it is. This whole day is a date. But right now here at this restaurant can be our first official date." As soon as Kate smiled Nika smiled as well.

Nika and Kate had spent the whole lunch getting to know more about each other. What schools they attended, their families, dream vacations, when they started playing basketball, practically everything. As every minute passed by, the felt a stronger connection to one another.

Never in a million years did either one of them believe they would be in the position that they are today. The person they used to hate, is the same person they can't spend one minute without. They were on each others minds 24/7 and they were starting to become inseparable.

They just hoped the girls back at the house wouldn't be too curious about their relationship until they announce it.

"So now here's the big question Kate. Whos winning the Championship next year, UConn or Iowa?" Kate waved Nika off and let out a slight chuckle.

"Is that even a question?! Obviously Iowa." Nika's smile left. "We're going to kick some UConn ass. And although you guys beat us last game, when I'm on the court with you, you're going to be such a softie, you're going to forget why you're even on the court in the first place."

"That is so not true! When I'm on that court, I am going to do everything in my power to make sure you can't get or pass the ball. I will play the greatest defense that you have ever seen."

"Okayyy....you say that now Nika. Just wait until the day actually comes to see that I'm right." Nika took a bite of her food and swallowed it before she began continuing. "Sorry this is kind of off topic but I have a question for you and obviously you don't have to say yes. I was just wondering." Kate stopped chewing her food for a moment to listen to the brunette. "I was wondering if you think we should tell the group tonight."

As Kate was finishing swallowing her food, a grin appeared on her face. She nodded up and down which meant she approved of the idea. "I've been thinking about that too. People are already suspicious and sad to say but we're bound to be exposed by fans sooner or later. I want us to tell the people we love dearly before fans get to them first."

The two girls spent the rest of the whole day just walking and chatting. During the date, Nika refused to let Kate pay, including the tip. Nobody could get in the way between the two girls. Instead of holding hands, Nika had her arm wrapped around Kate's waist the whole time while Kate had her arm against Nika's upper back.

The two spent the day enjoying each others company until they arrived at the house.

"Alright everyone settle down." Nika said standing up trying to get everyone to be quiet and listen to her. All the girls were gathered in the living room with some on the couches, leaning over them, or sitting on the floor. Despite a room full of girls, Nika's eyes kept going to Kate's who was looking at her the whole time.

"Me and Kate have an announcement to make." Everybody was fully locked in, except Caitlin who was secretly smiling. "So all of you guys know that me and Kate used to be enemies. Thank you Paige, and Caitlin for rooming us together. Because if it weren't for you two, me and Kate wouldn't be where we are today." Everyone was on the edge of their heels. "Before the media announces it to you all, me and Kate wanted to announce," Nika wrapped her arm around Kate's waist holding her tightly. "That me and Kate are officially dating."

Everyone started screaming and clapping for the new official relationship. Everybody came up to the two girls and started to hug and congratulate them. The plan that they all made before the trip had worked better than everybody hoped. There were now no enemies in this house and it was a house full of love. Just like everyone always wanted.

"Uh oh." Hannah's tone of voice made everyone confused. "We're going to have to put them in different rooms now." Everyone started laughing as Kate gently pushed Hannah's head.

Kate saw Caitlin away from the group, on the couch, teary eyed. "What's going on Clark?" Kate sat down next to the girl and put her hand on Caitlin's knee.

"I just want to say that I'm so happy for you K. You deserve everything good in this world and I know Nika is going to do just that for you. I'm so thrilled that my best friend is finally receiving all the love back that she has given. I know I don't say it enough but, I truly do love and appreciate you." Tears started streaming not only down Caitlin's eyes but also Kate's.

"Oh Caitlin." Kate embraced Caitlin in a massive hug. "I love you too, Clark. You deserve everything good in this world and you will get it before you know it." Kate said sweetly into Caitlin's neck.

Nika and Kate laid on Nika's bed playing with each others fingers.

"Thank you for this beautiful day Nika. Today was a day I could never forget." Nika started placing kisses all around Kate's face, neck, and collarbone.

"Everything I do now, is all for you Kate." Kate couldn't help herself but grin at the Croatian.

They were both exhausted and Nika placed a kiss on Kate's lips one last night before they fell asleep inside each others arms. This was something they could both get used to. But it stuck in there minds that these would be the last two weeks they can hold each other like this until who knows when.
