Chapter 40: Fred

Rileys POV

It’s been a week since Wade has returned, mom sends me message every morning and night. When Wade came he apologised for telling mom but I explained I preferred him telling her because I would never bring myself to do it.

We’ve been in doors for a week I was getting restless so I asked if we could go to a park. I helped Evangelene to make sandwiches and snacks. The park was fairly full but we found a somewhat quiet spot and set everything. I carried my camera so I clicked hundreds of pictures. The boys were doing these funny dance moves and Emily was on Wades’ shoulders trying to catch a butterfly. Reece was back at work so we hardly saw him.

Something caught my eye not far from us were swings. But there was a boy not older than 6 sitting there alone. I was afraid he was lost so I went to him.

“Hi angel are you okay?” I crouched down in front of him. He gripped tightly onto the swings chain. He looked at me, eyes wide and full of fear.

“I’m sorry.” He whispers. Before I can ask him why? I felt something sharp against my throat

“You thought you could hide?” A deep sadistic chuckle rumbled in my ears

“F-Fred.”

“Yes sweetheart the one and only. I knew your caring self would one day get you in trouble.” He laughs

“Please let him go.” I begged him. The child was innocently used as bait. I struggled against his grip but each time the knife dug digger into my skin

The boy was silently crying and watching in horror. I made eye contact with the child and directed his attention to where Wade is. He nodded slightly

“Don’t even try to fight back angel, I’ll have your family dead in a minute.” I didn’t dare move

Fred held my arm so tight that I’m sure my blood stopped flowing

I was thrown into a van with two guys on either side of me. They tied my hands and legs, the van sped of which resulted in me flying face first onto the metal door. Once the door flung open I was thrown onto someone’s shoulder as they carried me to a building. I was feeling light headed because all the blood was rushing to my head

He placed me onto a chair the entire room was dark so I didn’t know what kind of danger I’ll be facing. A bright light was shining on me I didn't dare show an ounce of fear. I didn’t want him to get that satisfaction of me being fearful. Instead I had my emotionless mask on. It looked just like the movies I was like a thief about to get interrogated.

*chuckling*

“You never listen hmm. Now I’ll teach you a lesson.” He walks and stops in front of me

“Why do you hate me! You have my house and my mother what else do you want!” My anger was getting the better of me. Did I care? Nope

“Your pathetic mother loved you more than anything, I didn’t want to be her second option like before! It’s always Riley this Riley that. I’m sick of it!” He growls

“She always sided with you for everything! She never cared about me she was blinded by her love for you!” *slap*

“You’re dumber than you look. She always loved you but for every single thing she did she was worried what you’ll have to say. So I used you by twisting her mind against you, after that I had everything.”

“Well you succeeded.” I spat out distastefully

“Now my sweet Riley will you cooperate with my instructions or do I have to force you?”

“I will do anything you want just keep my family out of it.”

“Anything?” He chuckles. My body was flooded with Goosebumps

“Tell me why you hate me! Why all these years you beat me every day! WHY FRED! WHY?”

Within a second he grabbed me by my collar and pulled me up. I saw the flames grow in his eyes. I just messed with the devil himself

He flung me half way across the room my back hit a wall. I winced in pain. The light came on and I watched how he threateningly walked towards me.

“You so eager to know huh? Fine I’ll tell you.” He grabbed me by my chin and pulled me up. He pushed me forcefully onto the chair in the corner

“Your father took everything from me! I loved your mother from the time we grew up. In school she’d fight with anyone who tried to bully me. We were inseparable! I always told her one day I’d marry her yet she kept on taking it as a joke. She saw me as nothing more than a friend! Your father appeared out of nowhere and took her away from me. How can you choose someone you’ve known for a few months over a childhood friend! How you think I felt hearing her only speak about him all day and night! She chose him over me and since then I was only a memory. Once I heard he died I was ecstatic!”

“You son of a-” Fred grabbed my neck and squeezed it until I my eyes started to roll back. He stopped just in time. He continued as I tried to stop coughing

“As I was saying I used that opportunity to get back in her life. I was the shoulder she had to cry on so she fell in my trap. I was insistent on becoming part of her life but I had an annoying thorn stuck in my flesh which guess what! It was you! I should’ve been YOUR FATHER! Not him! I knew it would be hard to get rid of you so I took the easy way out. I poisoned her mind against you every day so I was always right in her eyes and you were just a nuisance. She was so blinded by her love for me that she danced according to my tunes. Don’t worry once I kill you I’ll take your body back it’ll be our present for starting off a new Riley free life.” During his speech he paced back and forth while trying to control his anger. He was so furious that he punched me a couple times on my stomach. Blood was dripping out of my mouth

“How is it my fault that you don’t know how to treat a lady?” *punch*

“I will give you the option to fight and make money for me willingly or I’ll have to get rid of each one of your friends.” I’d rather sacrifice my life just for their safety

“I-”

Blade walks in smirking when he saw me.

“Didn’t I ask you to wait outside?” Fred sneers.

“Woah chill uncle, I just wanted to see how your peasant is.”

“Get out.”

“Wait” I hated his face but I had a negotiation

“Aww the princess wants me to stay.” I diverted my attention towards Fred

“I have a deal for you. If I were to lose I’ll stay and work for you without trying to run away. If I win you leave me and my family alone. I’ll sign every document you want and you’ll never see me again.” I was struggling to breathe. I looked up at him and saw he was thinking about it.

“Go on.”

“Spain has the biggest legal streetfighting arena, if you want Bellatrix to get recognised by the world then that’s the easiest way for you. I’ll fight anyone you choose.” I know it won’t be so easy to get rid of him but it’ll give me better opportunities of getting him arrested

“You think I’ll fall for that? You can take down any person so I’ll just waste my time.” At least he knows how strong I am

“But she’s bleeding she looks half dead. Anyone can defeat her.” Blade snorts

“You have a point, fine. You’ll fight Blade since he’s itching with revenge after your little friend beat him up.” Fred concludes. Blade looks at him in shock but quickly regains his composure and smirks

“This is going to be fun.”

I was groaning in pain but I believe I will beat Blade. I couldn’t even message Scraggy and now is when I need his support the most.

“Roman take her to the room and give her clothes.” Fred instructed

“Hey I remember youuuu!!” I had annoyed him the last time I was kidnapped. He rolled his eyes and dragged me to my room

I was left in a room that had a bed, broken mirror and window. I stared at the ceiling while my mind raced all over the place. Was this my fate? Am I going to be his slave for the rest of my life? I didn’t want to think of Wade or our family they were my weakness. I curled myself up and cried myself to sleep. I don’t know how long I slept for because my stomach growled louder than a tiger once I woke up.

Wades POV

“Has anyone seen Riley?” I thought she was with mum but I don’t see her. As I placed Emily down a small boy ran to me with Riley’s camera in hand.

“That man took her.” I showed him Freds picture and he nodded before running away

“RILEY!” I screamed. Not again! Why can’t he leave us alone?

“What happen?” Luke asks

“They took her.” I swear this time I’m going to rip his throat out

“We need to get home now!” They packed everything and we drove home

I was literally pulling my hair out. I was going insane. I hope I find her before it’s too late.

Later that day I got a message about some fight for your life tournament.

To say I’m furious is an understatement. And fighting that piece of shit doesn’t make it any better. I know Blade will cheat and it will jeopardise Rileys life. I stormed downstairs and told everyone what was going on.

“This is bullshit!” Luke shouted

“Fred is definitely up to something.” Jayden panics

We will definitely go there but not without any weapons. Anything can go wrong and there’s no guarantee for our safety or Rileys

Rileys POV

I was woken up by loud knocking on my door. Roman gave me juice and 4 sandwiches. He told me Fred wanted me to get my brown hair back but didn’t want to buy dye. What the hell must I do then?

A lady came in and dyed my hair a rich brown colour. She didn’t speak at all so it was pretty uncomfortable. I liked my blonde hair but I won’t fight for such a silly thing.

I changed into my clothes and applied my red lipstick and wore my mask for the last time. I didn’t like the idea of everyone knowing who the girl behind the mask really was. The days of hiding is over

It was just a couple hours before my fight I needed to train but there wasn’t anything to help. Luckily at Wades house I used to train Luke so I think I’ll be fine.

Roman took me to the arena where I was left waiting for my destiny to play out.
