Chapter 24- Be Mine?

Wades POV

"Do you guys know how hard it was today? Riley kept questioning about what happen to everyone.

She was so glum too." I say exasperated as I collapse on Lukes sofa

"Well lover boy do you know how hectic our day has been? We actually had things to sort out." Luke snorts

"Lying to Riley is difficult, that girl can force the truth out of you." Jayden shivers "I won't even ask." I wave him off

"Right so here's the plan. We got everything sorted and ready all you have to do is go for the match ,I suggest you go onto the field wave at Riley so she knows you're there. Then we'll distract her while you run away once the game is over the surprise will begin." Grayson explains

"You really have every single detail perfected?" I question

"Yes." They say in unison

"Thank you so much I-"

"Emotional Wade is quite a site if I do say so myself. We've got to get used to this side of him." Emmette laughs. Asswipe.

"Why don't you go checkout everything just to make sure it's all you've wanted." Grayson suggests

"Yeah, okay."

"Once you're done I suggest you get some rest because you have a big day ahead. Don't worry about Riley I'll pick her up tomorrow." Emmette commands. Since he helped out I won't say anything about his tone. I nod and grab my keys.

What will I do without them...

Rileys POV

I am so annoyed at Wade. How dare he leave me alone like that, anyway I can't do anything about it because I'm not his girlfriend. Ouu so sad you gone- shut up, I swear sometimes my conscience is annoying.

I want to be angry at Wade but what's the point. Maybe the guys had some boy issue pertaining to themselves which is why they all went MIA. Nevertheless I need to get dressed for Wades game.

I did my morning routine and dressed my cut, I got used to watching Evangelene. I settled on using my black ripped jeans, a white vest and on top of that Wades jersey. I put my Adidas shoes, gold watch and earing on.

I was feeling fancy that's why I was being a little extra, I curled the tips of my hair so it cascaded down my back in soft twirls. I did my eyeliner and put my nude lipstick on. When I stood in front of the mirror I was surprised I look hot.

Haha that's funny anyway Wades jersey or should I say mine because I'm definitely keeping this. It smelt like him and was comfy plus it made me look cute yet hot.

I walked downstairs and saw Emily at the table busy munching away. When she noticed me her spoon fell out of her mouth, she looked so cute.

"Momma look at Riley!" she screams and runs to me. I instantly blush.

"You look so pretty Ryry." She hugged me

"Aww you look so cute especially because you're using my sons jersey." Evangelene smiles and hands me a glass of juice

"Thank you both. Wade asked me to use this for his match plus I don't know why this day feels so different but in a good way. I'm positive something good is going to happen today." I grin

"Oh if only you knew." She mutters to herself

"Huh?" I look at her. She just waves me off

"Ryry Wadey gave this for you!" Emily hands me a note

Hey princess

I'm sorry I couldn't take you to school today. Coach wanted us to meet early. Emmette will bring you to school. I know you're looking smashing in my jacket. Stay with the guys at all times I don't want anyone to stare at my pretty lady.

Well I'll be lying if I said I wasn't smiling to myself like a stupid.

"My boy sure has put his charm on you." Evangelene chuckles. Maybe she's right

A car pulled up in the driveway, Emmette's voice rang in the intercom. I told him to wait outside, I hugged Evangelene then Emily and ran to the car.

"Yo chillax girly we aren't late no need to rush. Don't hurt yourself. Oh btw good morning." I buckled myself up and we laughed

"You are forgetting who you're talking to." I smirk and raised an eyebrow

"Oh yes sorry Miss B." he chuckles and holds his hand up in surrender.

I decided against asking him about the whole MIA thing. I was so deep in thought I didn't notice that we didn't move as yet. I looked at Em like he's mad.

"You were so busy thinking so I wanted to give you a minute. Plus you look soo cute today. I better alert the boys so they won't leave your side." He pinches my cheek and states seriously before typing away on his phone.

"Aww thanks you. And seriously don't do that."

"Already done." He chuckles

We made our way to school, everything was so lively. Seems like everyone's excited for todays game. Everyone was busy jumping about, but now I'm starting to panic how will everyone react to my jersey?

Anyway I don't care, they can't do anything. I opened the car door and stepped out everyone turned towards me. I froze for a millisecond before holding my head up high and walking in.

Everyone moved aside while I walked through the hall. A couple of guys whistled, this is the most attention I've received from being in high school. A couple no actually a lot of girls face twisted in disgust. Whispers have begun.

"Isn't that Wade Smiths jersey?"

"OMG is that the nerd from my geography class?"

"Yo Samantha is about to flip."

"She's hot." Some random guy shouts and whistles

"I'd smash."

All kinds of comments flew my way, I ignored it with a smirk on I walked confidently.

"Holy smokes."

"Damn girl."

"Wades one lucky guy." I walked up to my gang and had a series of comments. I blushed and blushed.

"If she's blushing so much now wait until Wade looks at her says. I squint my eyes at him

We went to our first two periods before the match had begun. I was a little disappointed Wade didn't see me but I'll be the first to congratulate him. As we walked towards the bench Luke nearly hit two guys while Emmette threatened one because they tried asking for my number.

We seated ourselves in the middle of the benches we had a row just for ourselves. To my dismay Samantha and her followers sat 10 feet away from us. She threw a b* fit when she saw what I was using, my great friends burst out laughing.

The match began all of the players ran onto the field, Wade ran out last and the crowd went wild. He looked at me and smiled ever so brightly.

"See what I mean this child is a blushing mess." Luke laughs

Coach was speaking to the team, he looked at Wade and nodded. Wade looked straight at Jayden and nodded, what the hell is going on with this nodding?

"So Riley what are we going to do after the match?" Jayden stands in front of me and asks. He's literally blocking my view of Wade, how annoying.

"I don't know, we'll see later so can you step aside now you're kind of blocking me." I growl

"Easy there tiger." He holds his hand up in surrender, Emmette cautiously rubs my back. You could just see how scared he was to even touch me. *cue evil laugh*

When Jayden sat down I tried looking for Wade, I just couldn't spot him! I actually sat on the edge of my seat just to look for him. I wanted to rip my hair out, how hard is it to spot Wade?

"What's wrong Ry?" Grayson asks

"Oh nothing, just feeling sick I guess." I half smile

"Love-sick." Luke coughs. I widen my eyes and smack the back of his head

"Don't deny it." They said in unison. Creepy...

"Is it that obvious?" they shook their head. I bury my head into my hands

"A bit." Gee thanks Luke

After 5 minutes I gave up I still couldn't see him. I played candy crush and super Mario on my phone throughout the game. I felt bad what in case Wade saw me on my phone when I suppose to watch him.

"Can I go home? Wade isn't even there and if he is I can't spot him." I slouched

"He is playing you just can't see him. Plus the match is almost over."

"Then show me where he is!" I exclaim. A couple of people turned and looked at me

I was beyond annoyed I grabbed my phone was about to leave before the announcer said who had won. Turns out my school won the match woohoo! How fun, I wasted my time going because Wade wasn't even there.

"Games over, we can go home now. See you guys tomorrow!" I was about to walk away

"Wait!" they all screamed before looking at each other and laughing

"That's getting creepy you know." I chuckled

"We have a surprise here for a special someone. She is seated amongst one of you. A special someone has something to say. So I want you all to stay back and witness this precious moment." The announcer says excitedly

I sat back in my place eager to see what's about to happen.

Wade walks up towards the mike and began speaking. I was shocked beyond words, moreover I want to know who he has been crushing on. I felt a pang of hurt deep down because I wish he'd say he likes me.

"Good day everyone, there's something I want to say to a very special girl. Words can't explain how much I like you slowly without knowing it I know I'm falling in love with you. Yeah I know you all will say that I am incapable of love but this girl has changed my mind. *takes a deep breath* Ever since I saw you 3 years ago I can't seem to get your smile out of my mind. It's already engraved in my heart, when I saw you once I returned to school I was blown away. I made you out almost instantly that bright amazing smile, I remember I ran away when we locked eyes.*chuckles* I was so shocked to see you I didn't know what to do. I know that you're the most perfect girl for me, I waited for this day to express my feelings towards you. The whole school is our witness that I'm not playing games and my feelings for you is pure. I finally got enough confidence and the guts to tell you this. I'd like for you to make your way down right here so the whole school is aware that you're mine."

I was full on crying tears flowing continuously. I was touched by Wades speech, the girl he loves is so lucky. I was hurt as well because I am in love with him, but no matter what I'll respect who his heart truly lies with.

Samantha squeals and runs to the stairs, she turns back and smirks at me. The whole time Wade looked throughout the crowd, so no one actually knew who he was speaking about. Seems like Sam is the lucky girl, a stray tear ran down my cheek.

"Samantha can you kindly seat yourself. I'd like for my girl to come forward." She looks at him, shocked and angry. She runs away crying. If it isn't her then who did he mean?

"Riley Mathews, I can't wait or you any longer. I have something important to ask." He says.

My mouth hung open. This means his whole speech was about me? I started crying even more. I looked at the guys and saw them with tears in their eyes they gave me a thumbs up. The crowd was dead silent.

"I'd like for my guys to escort her and to take their positions." He says into the mike

The field was empty the other team was seated one side of the field. I walked down the stairs with the guys trailing behind, I was smiling and wiping my tears. The crowd erupted in deafening cheers.

I walk up to Wade he holds out his hand for me. I take it and stand across him. He wipes my tears and kisses my cheek. He points in front of us where his mom and Emily was. Evangelene had tears in her eyes as well.

"I couldn't wait any longer. Riley I love you so damn much and so does mom and Emily. Will you make me the happiest guy in the world and be my girl? Riley will you be my girlfriend?" he says so passionately and wipes the tear from his eye.

I push the mike away. "I can't, Flynn Rider will get angry." I said seriously. He looks at me as if I grew 2 heads. I chuckle and grab the mike from his hand.

"Yes Wade I'll be yours!" I scream into the mike. He smiles so brightly, I might even need some sunglasses.

He lifts me up and spins me around. Everyone cheers even louder than before. Each of the guys popped the confetti cannons. Someone released blue and mint green balloons. This moment was so perfect it felt like a dream.

Wade sets me down and we share a short sweet kiss in front of everyone. I felt tingles, I felt like a queen and most of all I felt love. "I love you Mr Smith!"

"I love you my future Mrs Smith!"

"Wasn't that just the sweetest? C'mon guys show some love, clap, scream and whistle. Show your love for the star couple of Rosewood High!" The announcer says

"Well it's about time y'all got together." Graysons says and hugs me

"Finally you both don't have to blush like mental, when someone says a thing about you two dating." Jay laughs

"This is why we didn't come to school yesterday we were busy with these arrangements." Emmette explains

"You know how pissed off Riley was when she didn't see you on the field." Luke burst out laughing

"Shut it, in my defence I came to watch Wade play." I put my hands on my hip

"Well damn, my girlfriend is looking crazy hot in my jersey." Wade says

Everyone chuckles while I hide my face in his chest.

"There she goes blushing again." Luke laughs

"Get used to seeing this." I said

"Daughter-in law."Evangelene squeals

"Hey momma." She hugs me and cries happy tears

"Wadey has a girlfriend." Emily sings and jumps around. These guys got an idea and copied Em, screaming Wadey has a girlfriend.

Once they stopped they revealed something else.

"Now time for the second part of the surprise we are going on a ship cruise which leaves tomorrow. We said we'll send you two alone, but who knows what you will get up to. Plus what's a trip without us?" Luke and Grayson explains

"You guys are just the best." I smile widely

Who'd believe Wade was talking about me the entire time? I'm still in shock.

Hii. I was so eager to write this chapter I literally cried for Wades speech. Can you believe it, they're finally together. But do not worry we are far from the end. This is just the beginning of an endless adventure.
