Chapter 23- Will you help?

Wades POV

As I drove to my aunts house, I kept thinking about what Riley had said. Moms words kept playing in my mind. You know what I'm going to make my move,I am finally going to ask her to be mine.

You'll never be good enough. You don't deserve her. My conscious screams back. Will I ever be good enough for her, my mind is right I don't deserve her. But I love her. No Wade don't! Stop thinking this way, you will be perfect for Riley. Think positively. I took a deep breath and calmed myself. I need to think properly and smartly.

Once I picked up Emily we went straight home. She ran inside and did her little modelling shoot to show mom what she bought. I sat at the dining table and watched Riley, Emily and my mom interact. They were so comfortable around each other, I can just see the love mom has for Riley. All the doubts I had about asking her out is gone out the window. She'll be perfect for our family and I will wait for the time where we'll be able to start our own.

I was happy to see my family smiling like this, recently both mom and Emily are quiet and the atmosphere at home is dull. But since Riley walked in everyone is happy and everything feels so bright and lively.

"I'd make my move if I were you." Mom whispers to me when she walks past. Funny though I didn't see her approach me.

We watched a couple of programs before Riley fell asleep, I carried her and put her in bed. I was careful not to hurt her thigh, I covered her with my fluffy blanket and kissed her forehead. I crept slowly towards the door, I closed it and rushed downstairs. I grabbed my keys and went to my car, I have a plan and for that I need Jayden.

I parked outside his house and phoned him. It rang continuously, I don't know who's there so I wont knock at his door. What should I do now? Wait a minute Riley told me she used to throw stones at his window to get his attention.

I picked up a pebble and threw it at his window... nothing happened.

I threw another one... still nothing.

Another one- dude you sound like Dj Khaled. How supportive.

I threw my last pebble and it hit Jayden spot on the nose.

"WHAT IN GODS NAME IS WRONG WITH- oh hi Wade." He realises it's me and stops screaming.

"Hey, uh do you have a minute?" I asked with a chuckle. Jayden has his face mask on so I doubt this is the right time to talk. He was hesitant at first.

"Yeah sure, wait were you that annoying specimen who kept throwing rocks at my window." He places his hand on his hips and does that hmm face. Wait is that even a thing?

"Well yeah but-"

"THERE ARE PEOPLE HERE WHO ARE TRYING TO SLEEP!" Jaydens neighbour screams from her window

"Sorry about that." Jayden says sheepishly

"The key is underneath the gnome." He whispers to me. I shook my head is disbelief, that's dangerous even I know that.

I unlocked his door and went in. I would say I'm shocked but I'd be lying. Seated on the couch was Grayson holding a bowl of popcorn in a bright green onesie. This sight was too fuuny to miss, I dug my phone out of my pocket and snapped a pic. Haa blackmail! - how childish

When he turned to the side he saw me and his eyes widened. Unexpected visits should happen more often I thought.

"Hiiii Wadey." He grins with a mouthful of popcorn

"Fancy seeing you here." I smirk

"So what brings you here at this hour?" Jayden asks

"I need your help, Grayson can help too." I mumble

"Wait... Wade ask for help. Well well well, this is going to be good." Grayson says amused by the fact that I don't ask anyone for help for anything. Well he is in for a shock.

"So the thing is I've been thinking a lot and there's this girl I really reaallyyy like... I need your help to do something special for her. Will you help?" I mumbled out the last parts, it was loud enough because Grayson is smirking and Jayden is smiling.

"First of all I will definitely help you. Second we all know that you like Riley. Thirdly it's about fricken time!" Jayden rolls his eyes but smiles.

"I am annoyed that you didn't ask me for help, you came straight to Jay Jay. But nevertheless I'm happy that you finally accepted your feelings towards her." He threw popcorn at me, in which he received an irritated look from Jayden

"Thank you lovebirds." I smirk, both their cheeks grew red

"Look who's talking Mr softy. This should be a book titled 'Mr badboy gone soft'". Grayson chuckles

"I'd so buy the book if you were writing it." Jayden whispers. They both were leaning into each other.

"Woah guys keep it PG. I'm still here." I waved my arms so they acknowledge I'm still here.

"Didn't you and Riley have an almost kiss a while back?" How do they know that? "Luke told us." They burst out laughing, of course he did

"So what's the plan?"

Rileys POV

Mmh something smells heavenly. I took one whiff of my shirt. Oh gosh hell no it ain't me. I peel my eyes open and notice I'm in Wades room. I do not remember coming here. Maybe I was sleep waking?

I'll just sneak out before someone sees me here. I dressed the bed before quickly going to the door. I gently turned the door knob and peeped to my right just to check if anyone is awake. Coast is clear...

"Riley what are you doing?" Wade asks and I shriek. I'm so stupid I didn't look in the other direction. Here was Wade standing on my left without a shirt and coffee in his hand. Focus Riley!

"Uh hi." I say embarrassedly. Well that mission was an utter fail, next time I'll hide under the bed.

He chuckles before taking a sip of his coffee. "You fell asleep in the car yesterday so I carried you to my room. I didn't want to disturb your date with Harry Potter." He says and chuckles again. So I was sleep walking great.

"Yes you were sleep talking. It was cute until you said who you were on a date with." He mutters

"Aww, is somebody jealous because I went on a date with someone else." I say in a baby voice and pinch his right cheek

"Not really because Harry Potter isn't real, and I'll soon take you on a date." He winks

"Hey! Harry is real and so is Hogwarts. Oh and I'm flattered." I stick my tongue out at him

"Will you two love birds keep it down a notch and why are you both talking at the door?"

Evangelene asks with her hands folded

"Uh *nervous laughing* I was uhm-" Wade cuts me off

"Mom, Riley doesn't want to leave my room. She insists I should come cuddle with her and she wants me to take her on a date." This idiot is lying! I didn't say that but that does sound like a good idea.

"See mom it's the truth because she didn't even deny it!" Wade grins and I huff.

Evangelene chuckles and shakes her head. "Alright you two carry on with what you are doing. I'm going to get started on breakfast. And no funny business." She says hinting the last thing to her son.

"Yes momma." He rolls his eyes

"Riley I want to speak to you about something. Can I possibly go into my room?" He asks with a chuckle. My cheeks turn a shade of pink and I move aside so he could come in.

"I don't really play rugby anymore but my coach had asked me to fill in for Baxter because he injured his leg. So I was wondering if you would like to come watch me? Oh and you can use my jacket it has my name on the back." He rambles

"Aww I'm glad you asked me. I'll definitely be there to cheer you on and as for your jacket I'd be honoured to use it." I grin at him. I feel special I didn't expect him to ask that. Damn it's the smallest things that he unknowingly does that makes me fall in love with him more and more.

When will I get an opportunity like this again? I better make the most out of it. But Samantha, Jesus Christ I don't know what she'll do.

"You don't have to worry about Sam because the guys will be with you they won't leave your side." Can this dude fricken read minds or something?

"No I wish I could though, you're just speaking out aloud plus I could tell you'd be worried about that." He says with a knowing look.

"Well that was a blonde moment." I mentally hit my forehead

"Get dressed we got school in an hour." He rolls his eyes

"How about we go somewhere else? I rather not face the wrath of Sam today." I look away

"Hey princess I won't leave your side I promise. Plus Grayson is waiting to kick her ass." He laughs and I join in. I nodded before I went to get changed.

My thigh isn't as sore anymore. I'll be able to have a match, I hope Scraggy allows me. It's hot outside today so I'm unsure of what to use. No way am I going to show my bandage that's asking for more problems.

Wade and I were alone at school today. Something truly is fishy even though these boys are known for their notorious ways they don't ever miss school. And its surprising because they all are absent, maybe they taking a day off or something.

"Stop thinking so hard your brain will get fried." Wade sneaks up on me

"Haha very funny. I'm just thinking how come all the guys didn't come today." I explain confused

"And I've been telling you the same since morning, they took a day off." He says walking towards the car. I noticed that when Wade lies he can never look the person in their eye. Guess what he didn't look at me while saying that.

Wade didn't lie about not leaving my side. Throughout the day he was stuck to me like glue, even in the classes we don't share he was there next to me. Maybe he's a secrete ninja because non of the teachers caught him.

This day keeps getting more and more weird. Wade dropped me off at his house and now he drove off with saying his cousin is back from overseas so he's going to visit. You know what I'm not going to dig and ask I'll just wait till they tell me anything.

I was alone at Wades house, Emily was at school and his mum is gone to work. I'll speak to Scraggy in the meantime.

S- How are you kiddo?

A-I'm feeling much better.

S- Ahh I received your text I'm sorry about that whole incident

A-It's fine, when can you schedule my next fight?

S- when you're perfectly fit enough to fight

A-I am now. So please let me know when it is. I need to find a way to get out.

S- I give up with you *chuckles* I'll message you kiddo

A-Thank you Scraggyy! Take care of yourself
