Chapter 22- Mall

"Where to first ladies?" Wade asks

"Food court!" Jayden exclaims

"We just ate." I laugh while shaking my head

"Woolworths?" Emily asks referring to Wade.

"See at least someone else wants to eat." He sticks his tongue out to us. Very mature.

"Uh, she meant the clothing store Woolworths and not the oh well never mind..." Wade says unsurely. He needs to get used to Jaydens blonde moments.

"Oh." Jayden looks pouts

"That's Jayden for you." I chuckle and walked away with Emily.

"You make it sound as if it's a bad thing." He says from the back

With Emily by my side I slowly walk to the store. The little angel wants to impress Liam, how cuuuute.

"Well lookey here, the snake has appeared with a little brat at her side. Who's this... your daughter?" One word. Samantha.

"Don't even try it Samantha. And watch how you talk." I said coldly

"Oh I'm so scared." She pathetically mocks

"Emily let's go." I pull Emily towards the centre of the store

Sams brats blocks my way. I tried to walk around but they kept stepping in my way.

"You didn't tell us you have a daughter. Always knew you were a bi-"

"I'd watch my mouth if I we're you." Wade walks in and stands behind me with Jayden at his side.

"Why does he always have to protect her." Oompa Loompa 1 muttered

"Because I don't appreciate anyone messing with my girls." He speaks

"What do you mean my girls. The only girl you have is me." Sam screeches

"Dream on Sam. Oh and next time I will finish you if you speak like that in front of my daughter." He says angrily. I caught that small smirk of his and decided to play along.

"Wade is Rileys father." Oompa Loompa 2 asks stupidly. I mean come on how stupid can you be?

"No you idiot that small girl is his daughter!" Samantha is literally fuming

"C'mon angel let's go." I smoothened Emily's hair and was about to walk away when Samantha continued speaking.

"Oh is this the new fashion trend? What happened Riley did someone stab your leg." She laughs and flips her hair.

I stood there frozen, I went deaf literally I couldn't hear anything besides my thunderous heartbeat. My body started to shake, I was in a state of shock and I was fuming. These mixed reactions and emotions made my head pain. A memory popped up one that I tried my best to forget I thought it was buried deep enough to forget. Slowly I was able to hear again I can feel Wade shouting at Samantha and felt Emily tap my leg. I finally had the strength to move my legs, I walked away into the distance not sure yet where I were to stop. Jayden yanked my hand to stop me my body started to tremble again.

"Take Emily and do her shopping. D-don't leave her side o-okay?" before he could object I hopped to the nearest stall in the change room. I slammed the door and locked it.

My body is trembling so bad that I won't be able to even drink water. I numbly slid down the mirror and burst out into tears. Tears had flooded out, it was comical in away just like how anime characters cry, yeah I looked just like that. I promised myself that her words would no more affect me, that she does this only to get a reaction out. But I just couldn't... she struck a nerve.

Wade must've gotten a shock and suspicious after the whole freeze up, I'm going to tell him the reason behind it. I trust him enough for him to know.

*soft knocking*

"Riley. Please come out." I hear Emily through my sobbing

"E-emily, go with Jayden and your brother I will *sniffling* join you in a moment." I said

"Riley you have to come out one way or another. Rather you come out now and we can go back to Wades place." Jayden pleads. I heard whispering so I buried my face into my hands and cried more.

I heard a commotion but decided to ignore it one minute I'm silently crying by myself and the next warm hands are holding me against a hard chest.

"Shh Riley I'm right here. You're not alone." Wade holds me and says soothing things into my ear. He must've picked the lock.

I broke at his words because I never had anyone besides Jayden to comfort me. I cried until his shirt was soaked. I felt bad but I felt so safe in his arms that I didn't want to let go.

"Angel you know I hate seeing tears in your eyes." He says his voice... breaking?

I pushed myself off of him and looked into his eyes. He had this raw kind of emotion hanging in there.

"Wade you s-should go. I want to b-be alone." I said softly looking everywhere but him

He scoffs. "You think I'm going to listen? I won't even move an inch, you can force me but I'll never leave you." He said it in such a loving voice. I grabbed a fistful of his shirt and cried.

I want to be alone because this is how its been my whole life. If I could magically jump into a hole and vanish I'd be ecstatic. But on the other hand I'm glad he didn't abandon me, Wade needs to understand that its fricken hard for me to open up.

How will he know if you haven't told him about your past? Stupid conscience why you got to be so right. But that's true I need to talk to him it'll be easier for me to let go and for him to understand.

The whole time as I was thinking he held me and rubbed my back.

"Riley. Are you feeling better? Wadey buy Ry-Ry ice cream." Emily says from the door. I got to admit my angel made me smile.

"Ahh there's that pretty smile I've been waiting for." Now Wade decides to make me blush

Wade wakes up and offers me a hand. He gently pulls me up and I adjust my clothes. I wiped my tears away with the tissue he gave. I smiled sheepishly when I saw the wet patch on his chest.

"I'm s-"

"Don't apologize, there's no need to." He smiles

"Why are you crying. *I crouch in front of her* Please don't cry." She pleads and wipes my eyes

"I'm fine angel." I smile and sniffle

We ended up buying two dresses for Emily, at the counter Wade and I fought until I faked cry so he huffed and allowed me to pay. We then went for lunch and on the way met Wades aunt. Emily begged Wade to allow her to go home with her aunt, after I smiled and slightly nodded he gave her a warning and told her he'd pick her before supper.

"Anyone for waffles and ice cream? We can go so you can explain Freddys incidents." Jayden offers. I sigh and nodded.

"Sounds like a yummylicious idea." Wade jokes and licks his lips. Shewww wrong move, I literally stared at it.

"Eyes up here hunny. But I don't mind you staring there." He cheekily winks

Shaking my head I walk to the store and chose a seat near the window. I sat sideways on the seat so I could rest my leg while Wade and Jayden were seated opposite me.

"Court is now in session the honourable and handsome Jayden has entered the Waffle court. You may now proceed after taking your seats." He speaks seriously.

"We're already sitting and is this all necessary?" Wade chuckles and placed his head on his folded hands on the table

Jayden wants to become a lawyer/judge so he loves things like this. A small giggle escapes my lips. Jayden looks at me and genuinely smiles.

"So miss Mathews what would you like to have?" Jayden asks me while flipping through his menu

"I'll have Nutella with oreos and chocolate sauce and-" I didn't even get to finish my damn order.

"Hold on sugar rush, ain't that just a bit too much?" Wade laughs heartily

All it takes for Wade to stop laughing is my death glare. No one should ever question me when it comes to my sweetys.

"Rule number one, never question Riley about her ice cream and especially her toppings. Because she goes psycho." Jayden explains and whispers the last part.

I reached across the table and smacked his head. Bloody stupid I'm not a psycho... okay maybe I am at times but right now nah. What you think Esme?

"See she's talking to her wolf Esme." Jayden uses air quotations and attempts to whisper but failed miserably.

I give him a pointed look, I glance at Wade and see him looking at me like I'm insane.

"I've always loved werewolf books, I even waited for my 16th birthday in hope of becoming one/ shifting into one. Plus they have mates so I wouldn't mind getting mine." I explain slowly

"Oh-kay... Wasn't expecting that at all but I'm sure you found your mate already. But if not then I'm right here baby." He cheekily grins.

Jayden does the most stupid thing possible known to mankind. He starts to sniff both Wade and I. He takes one big whiff before he confesses. Honestly Wade and I were creeped out.

"I smell love in the air. Shewwww, such a strong sweet aroma of love coming from the two of you. Y'all are reeking." He grins and smirks once he saw my red face.

I stared at him with my eyes wide enough for it to fall out. I thought Wade would be shy about the situation and turn away but to my surprise he does the unthinkable.

"Smells captivating huh, Jayden I must admit you're right." Wade smirks

"Both of you shut up." I mutter in embarrassment. Can my face get any more red?

"You didn't deny it Miss Matthew's." He grins widely

"Why must I deny something when I know that I'd be lying." Well that was something, what a boost of confidence.

Jayden stared at me as if I'm an alien, I don't blame him even I don't know what came over me. I usually don't speak like that I don't know what's happening to me. I slowly turned to Wade and saw him staring blankly at the sauce on the table but I didn't miss that tiny smile playing at the corner of his lips.

I explained to him the whole story about what happened at Freddy's house. I didn't need to go in detail because Jayden already put two and two together. What I hated is the look he gave me... It was one of pity, I hate that I despise that word.

He was angry at Blade, but he said so himself he expected Blade to do something like this. I teared up a bit while narrating the story but I stopped myself.

Our orders arrived after Jayden put on a show, literally he started crying and the manager came to check what was wrong. Wade told that Jay had gone through a bad heartbreak so he's craving waffles that too the order is taking forever to come.

I shit you not that order came through so quick I think they felt bad for him. But hey I got my ice cream so I ain't complaining.

We ate our dessert, the guys kept saying silly things to make me smile. And honestly I couldn't ask for more. Wade told an embarrassing incident that happened to him and Jayden told about our camping trip. Which went terribly wrong.

When we were done Jayden had paid. We dropped Jayden at his house and told him that we'd see him at school tomorrow. I was kind of sleepy because all the crying it made me tired. I was falling asleep in the car after dropping Jay.

We picked up Emily and drove back ho- Yes home.

Once she got out of the car she ran straight inside, got changed and did her mini photoshoot.

Evangelene was so happy and excited when she saw the clothes. She even complimented my fashion taste.

We 4 ended up watching a few TV programs before I fell asleep.

I felt a kiss to my forehead and before you know it I was in dreamland.
