Chapter 21- Mom

Hmm, I feel so warm and cozy. But I think the window is open because I can feel warm wind hitting on my neck. Snoring? Where did that come from. Maybe Wade's asleep in the next room.

But wait somethings holding me I can't move. My eyes shot open, I slowly turn onto my side and see Wade fast asleep next to me with his hand draped across my stomach.

I just stared at him because this moment was just perfect. And he looked so peaceful but I can't only imagine us dating because he'll never date a person like me. I'm not his type and stuff so I rather just save this precious moment before it ends.

I closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep, a couple moments later Wade wakes up. But not in the way I imagined, no it's not so quiet and romantic instead. He makes a dinosaur like noise that resembles a yawn? I think he realized what he did because he abruptly stops and mutters a few profanities.

I opened my eye and say Wade inches away from my face. The normal thing to do is maybe block your face or something but instead I screamed, he ended up screaming as well. Emily comes running in with a wooden spoon in hand. My attention went to her where I looked at her in confusion.

"Emily?" Wade calls in amusement.

"What happen?" she holds the spoon as if she were playing baseball.

"Er... why are you holding that?" I ask her with a small smile playing on my lips

"To protect you." She had difficulty pronouncing but nevertheless she was adorable.

"Aww my baby." I smiled

"Ahem, when I screamed the last time you didn't come running to me." Wade tells Emily and pouts.

"You a big baby." She sticks her tongue out and I burst out laughing.

"Am not."

"Are too."

"Okay you two enough with this." I chuckle

*click* *click*

"Aww my babies." Evangelene cries

"One happy family hmm." Wade winks.

"C'mon you have to eat breakfast. Get dressed and come down quickly Emily helped make breakfast." She smiles

Emily jumps down and runs behind her mom.

"Had a good sleep?" Wade asks

"Best one I had in years." I say in all honesty

"That's good to hear." He grins boyishly

"Why did you scream?" He asks after a minute of silence

"Why did you scream?" I question and chuckle.

"I screamed because you screamed." We burst out laughing

"We are so stupid."

"I'm all seriousness how are you feeling?"

"Much better, my head isn't sore but my thigh is burning." I whine

Wade goes to his cupboard and brings back a box of waterproof plasters.

"Put this on so you won't have trouble while bathing. Mom will dress your wound once you're done." He tells sternly

I put the plaster on and had a bath, today is freezing. I don't have any warm clothes so I'll have to make a plan. But damn the water feels so good, it's like the water is my medication it cures what ever pain, problems I have. That being said I need to phone Shaggy and tell him about the incident. He'll only let me fight once I fully recover.

I hope I get to see Jayden I miss him a lot, we hardly talk like how we used to. And I need him because he knows about Freddy's family but I know how angry he'll be once he knows what had happened.

After I had a bath I walked out in a pink fluffy gown. I put my undergarments on them my shorts; yes shorts whenever it's cold I always use shorts and a hoodie. Weird I know... since I didn't have any warm clothes the only thing I can do is borrow Wade's ones. He wouldn't mind he may even let me keep it

His hoodie smelt just like him and oh my it's pretty warm. But it swallowed me up it reached mid-thigh. Wade is tall so I basically look like midget. I used his roll on and lotion, it smelt heavenly. I think I should talk it as a souvenir.

I called for Evangelene and she came shortly after. She dressed my wound and put a bandage. She didn't forget to mention how adorable I look in his jersey.

"Come bunny, Emily and I made pancakes and she's eagerly waiting for you to come and try it out. Plus a little birdie told me that you love chocolate chip ones." She grins

I chuckle and slowly yet carefully walk down the stairs. It was painful but I'll have to manage. I walk into the kitchen and see Wade looking for something in the fridge.

I cleared my throat, he sharply turns around and nearly drops the carton of juice from his hand.

"You look cute." He smirks

"Thank you, I didn't carry any warm clothes so I hope you don't mind that I borrowed your hoodie." I said shyly

"You can use my stuff anytime you'd like." He smiles

"How kind of you." I dramatically say

I sit down at the table and wait for Wade to serve me. This idiot placed a stack of it onto my plate.

"Er Wade 2 was enough." I say with my eyes widened

"You need the energy so shut it and eat it." He crosses his arms

"Boy I don't watch Jackie Chan's movies for nothing. I'll karate chop your butt." I got in stance

Wade looks at me amused and boy did that annoy me. I'm trying to fight over here and he looks like he'll start screaming and laughing.

"You won't be able to even lift your leg." He folds his arms and lifts his eye brows

He say my face I was like whaaaaat you wanna try me?

"Seriously you can't Riley your thigh is hurt." He says. Oh yeah true.

"Next time I'll get you back." I promised

I began eating and I can see Wade looking at me so I stopped and lifted my eyebrow. He shook his head and smiled showing his dimple.

You eat like a pig so why you acting lady like now? Pssh stupid conscious.

"Eat with me please." I didn't want to feel left out

"Of course my lady." It's the smallest things that he says that makes me smile. And it's hard for me because each day it's going to get harder and harder to hide my feelings.

I was about to take another bite before Emily screams.

"Riley! Wait!" she runs towards me. Gosh one day this child will give me a heart attack.

"What's wrong angel?" I question in panic

"I want to feed you." I sighed in relief I thought something happened.

"Sure love, but next time don't scream you made me scared." I scold. Wade was done with his first pancake so he sat back and watched us.

"Emily come and sit on my lap-"

"No your leg is hurt, she can sit on me and feed the both of us." He jokingly winks

"No I won't feed you! Dobby come save meeee!" she cries. I just love this girl.

"There she starts with Dobby." He mutters

"Say anything against Dobby and you shall see!" I squint my eyes at him

"Calm down I love Dobby. Let's just eat." He holds his hands up in surrender.

I helped cut the pancakes into small pieces so it was easier for her. She ended up feeding the both of us after some debate while she drank her milkshake on the side.

*Click* *Click*

There stood Evangeline, I was so engrossed in Emily that I failed to see her enter the kitchen. She stood with a camera in her hand.

"Ma you have got to stop popping out of nowhere to take out pictures." He shakes his head

"I think it's cute. And pictures are memories you should always treasure." I smile

"I couldn't have said it any better dear. And if my future daughter in law says it's fine then zip it." She directs the last thing to Wade.

I nearly choke my eyes widened.

"Technically she didn't say it was fine." He chuckles and takes our plates away

"Momma I want a dress." Emily pulls her mom's dress

"Why baby?" she asks

"Because I want a new one for school." She twirls. She runs to me and whispers in my ear that she likes a boy named Liam.

"I'll buy you one later okay?" I grin. I always wanted a baby sister so I can dress her up and be the big sister any sibling would like.

She hugs me gives me a quick kiss on my cheek.

"What are you two whispering about?" both Wade and his mum looks at us

"I'm taking my princess to the mall." I grin widely

"I'll take you." Wade doesn't ask but says it

"Fine by me." I say

"Sur- Wait you can't Riley you're hurt. It's okay I'll take Emily later." She smiles

"I'll be fine plus I want to go out with my two favorite people." I blush

"Okay as soon as you feel even the slightest bit dizzy or your legs starts to hurt come straight home." She warns

"Yes mom." I smile widely at her. Wade's head snaps up towards mem

"Mom hmm, you should call me that more often." She hugs me

"Sure thing mom." I called her that jokingly but it somehow felt right for me to call her that. So I will...

We were about to leave I just grabbed my purse when someone bursts through the door.

Surprise, surprise. It was Jayden singing Dream Lover.

"Jayden?" I chuckle

"Ohh my baby. Are you alright I heard what happened. I'm so sorry I didn't come any sooner-" I cut off his rambling

"I'm fine don't worry. I'm a strong girl." I smirk slowly

He realizes we weren't alone and smiles sheepishly.

"Hi I'm Jayden Riley's one and only BFF." he grins

"This is momma Evangeline, Wades mom and our little princess Emily." I introduce

He smiles at her and goes straight for Emily.

"Hiii pretty girl. Did you take care of Riley for me? He asks her

"Yes sir." she giggles

"We were about to leave for the mall, want to join?" Wade asks

"I wouldn't want to intrude." Jayden says softly

"It's okay, you both can catch up while we're there." Wade suggests

"Sure then let's gooo." he skips to the car with Emily closely following

Wade and I exchange a look, we chuckle then smile.

"You kids have fun and stay safe alright." Evangeline says and kisses Wade and I on the forehead.

We walk out and find Emily and Jayden already buckled up and ready to go. I chuckle at them and seat myself in the passenger seat.

"Are you guys ready to go." Wade asks

We all shout yes and I blast 'Show me love'.

We sang a mixture of songs before we arrived at the mall.
